Pella Windows and Doors

I Ordered windows and they charged my credit card $2500.00 for them. I received an email confirmation with a installation date of 12/26/13 between 9 and 9:30. They promised me that they would be installed by Christmas then they said it would be done by December 26th and now they don't know where the windows are and when they would be installed. I called and no one in the company can tell me who can refund my money. I called the installation department and they told me to call the sales department. The sales department told me to call the manufacturer who referred me back to the sales department. The manager did call me back after my negative review and gave me his direct number. He set me up with good installers that came on the weekend as soon as the windows were found. The installers worked very hard in cold weather and did an outstanding job. I still feel like there's a disconnect between what sales says and what actually happens, but at this point there's a possibility that I would use them again.

Got Pella quote for vinyl window to replace all windows (all basic standard sizes-nothing fancy) in house (13 total). With a special going (they almost always have some sort of special going), quote was ~$7200. Was initially going to consider wood windows too (since consumer reports gives top notch scores to pella wood pro-line), but sales person did not go into too many details about these because we figured out early on in the initial overview they would be way out of our price range. Our quote was for double hung insulated sun reflective coating vinyl windows. Salesman was pleasant, punctual, and reasonable knowledgeable. We had no idea how much it was going to cost until the very end after he was typing away entering info into his computer for what seemed like a long time while we were in suspense (was probably 10 minutes), then did feel some pressure with the pitch that we would save a couple hundred dollars if we signed the contract in the next 24hrs. Overall the experience was fine and no major complaints, but since this was our first window quote, it was too soon to feel comfortable with a decision on the spot. We got a follow up phone call from the sales associate at 1 month and 2 months to follow up to see if we were still interested, so it was good we didn't feel hounded with calls. The only small complaint I had with them is we asked for a patio door quote too, but at the time of the sales associate visit, the software to build a quote wasn't working, and he said he would email me the quote the next day, but he never followed up on this. Ultimately we got a later quote from another window replacement company, which was significantly cheaper from what appeared to me and husband to be about the same quality vinyl product with the standard energy efficiency bells and whistles, so we chose the other company over Pella. Had we had a strong desire (and the bank) for wood windows, would have definitely chosen Pella Pro-line.

Pella replaced all the 30 year old windows in our house. Note: They use an independent contractor for installation. They did an excellent job.

I cannot say enough about how excellent this experience was. I have an older house with around 18-20 windows. I was really concerned with how the windows would fit, how long it would take, the color of the actual window and how much mess they would make while they installed the windows. In addition, I had several inside pets that had to be considered based on the room they were installing in. | |I cannot think of one thing that went wrong. The crew arrived on time that morning and had it all complete by early afternoon. I realize Pella costs a little more that some other windows but it was well worth the money.

I scheduled the appointment with Pella Windows to learn about their product line of replacement windows. The sales rep showed up on time. He was very professional and there was no high pressure. In contrast, I also scheduled an appointment with Champion Windows. I received a call the night before the appointment confirming the appointment at my home. The sales rep never showed up. The following day I called champion Windows back to question the no show. The person argued with me that I had no appointment with them. I would NEVER consider purchasing anything from Champion again. I signed the contract with Pella to replace all of my windows. There service, follow through and attitude was amazing. The quality of the windows is first rate. I don't believe that I could have done better. I would rate them A+.

Window and door quality excellent. Windows were properly installed, however the trim and moulding installation was sloppy. Sales person ordered one of the windows incorrectly (returned and replaced okay) . I ended up refurbishing and installing the original inside moulding to get a consistant look. The sales person recomended and ordered moulding that was much too wide.

I would not have chosen a better outcome if I’d tried. Honest with integrity! From Jeremy the sales tech all the way to order and install was seamless. Great financing also. Need another door upstairs to match. Will call Pella again. They were excellent.

The service was excellent. They followed up with us and did and excellent job. I was very happy with their work and intend to use them again in the future.

They were wonderful. They made customer service a priority. They made numerous phone calls and inspected the work after it was done. The worked really hard to get the work into our budget. The work coupled with the customer were great. We had a great experience with them.

They were the most outstanding purchase I have ever made. They were very expensive but the quality of the window is very high. They also did provide paperwork for tax credits because of the windows. The windows are still in perfect condition. Their method of installing the window is amazing. They never had to come in the house for the installation and at the end they came in and vacuumed what little mess was made. They were very thorough. Everything was done exactly as they said it would be. I don't think that you can do any better than Pella. They still follow-up to make sure I am happy with everything.

The service was super. We are very pleased with the work. It is a top of the line product and the installers did a great job. The work was done quickly and efficiently, and they did a good job keeping everything clean which was important to us. From the salesman to the installers they did a really good job.

We have been extremely pleased with the window. The original work was done very professionally and we have been very happy. Everybody was pleasant and knowledgeable. We had extremely pleasant experience.

They did a fantastic job. The project manager we dealt with was really fantastic. They were very professional and went through the whole process with us. They worked with me on some concerns I had. They scheduled everything. The subcontractor that did the installation showed up on time and did what he was supposed to. Pella showed up to make sure we were happy on the day of the installation and the day after. We had one issue with the installation and they showed up the next day to correct the issue. The Pella representative called again about 8 months later to again make sure we were still happy with the product. The pricing was very fair for the windows. The product is really great.

The service was fantastic. They are the best windows that I have ever had. I was not too The supervisor made sure that everything was perfect and right.

They came, they measured twice, they ordered, it all came on time in excellent condition/packaging. Truckmen placed them safely in my garage, no arguments! I live on a steep hill that truckers hate. Told us three weeks, and on day 20 it all arrived. There was a sizing mistake by MY contractor, but Pella (Ms. Woody), corrected our error, helped us return it , reorder and finish and got the the install done in record time. She went out of her way on several occasions to help us with every step. e Pella guided us through the replacement window exchange-out, saved us a lot pricewise. With the time/money saved with the new window we did not have a budget hit! That was good news because of Pella. We just ordered a new top of the line patio door from them.

Inattentative Sales Personel: This experience started out wonderfully with an attentative salesperson and good prices for quality "Pella" products. It almost immediately went from excellent to troubled. The sales person did not include radial window replacements, leaving new windows under a cracked radial window. Then he excluded window seal replacements on the larger 3 windows, but included them on the higher dormer windows. Then he excluded hardware for the upscale patio door, but included hinges. We immediately called about the hardware and was told to "go buy Home Depot hardware..it will work". The windows were purchased in April 2013, but could not be delivered until June 2013. When discussing the missing radial windows, the sales person was argumentative and countered each statement with an excuse. In our opinion, he should be selling used cars with a revolving "Pay Here" financing scheme. Challenged Installation Team: The installation team tried to work through all the missing parts, misordered parts and parts that did not work. The "go buy Home Deport hardware" did not NOT work although the salesman said this have been done 10,000 times before...the actual Pella drill slots for the hardware were too small for the Home Depot parts. These guys worked through rain, on weekends and with each and every challenge that the Pella organization threw at them. They are the ONLY reason our windows and french doors are installed. Pella did not follow-through on the reordered parts with us. We happen to have the installer's cell phone number which enabled us to know where the fool parts were "resting" along the way. Last, but not Least: Delays. Fortunately, these were not critical window parts which were missing. The actions of Pella SouthEast have delayed my painter who must paint the areas "not included" in the Pella agreement and complete more caulking to ensure the southern rain storms do not cause the windows to leak. We have taken a total of 6 days off our employment to meet, measure, install, wait, install, wait, and finally install our windows and french doors. Our Opinion: Pella appears to be a good product, but compared to our Andersen doors - Pella has a long way to go with its sales force and supply chain. We have another large bank of windows to do on a suspended porch which will demand an extended bow window..... We are not sure we want Pella to tackle something that is custom. If you want just plain simple "window replacements"....go to Pella. If you want a custom job....look elsewhere.

Their product is very good. However, their installation is not good. Their installation and responsiveness is abysmal. I will never use their installation services again.

The saleswoman at the Pella showroom was courteous, as was the salesman who came to my home to measure the windows and provide a replacement cost-estimate. On advice from a contractor friend, I used Pella's own installers to replace the windows and suggest others do the same. Overall, the job went very well. I was easy to see the two installers had a good deal of experience -- they worked carefully, quickly and neatly. They wore shoe covers when inside the house and cleaned the new windows inside and out as the last step of the install. Initially, to narrow down my choice, I visited 4 different showrooms, including Pella's, to see and discuss various window products and prices; on two occasions I had salesmen come to my house to show window samples and provide replacement estimates. One showroom visited was to check Marvin-brand fiberglass windows; they appeared to me to be a quality product, but the cost to replace 8 windows was well over my budget. Two-plus years have gone by and I'm still satisfied with my choice of fiberglass windows and the installation.

We enjoyed the experience, would highly recommend them and will use them again if we need them.

The salesman was good. They were quick to respond when we called. However, the installers goofed around too much. They didn't leave the outside of the house as clean as we wished. One of the windows broke, but they came back and fixed it right away.

It was excellent. They are a very capable company; they come out and interview us. They sit down and go over our needs. They fulfill what we need, so I would say they are a very good company. We got a 40% off. Their responsive was excellent, and they were here on time and did what they said they were going to do. I was very pleased with the job, and they did cleanup. We just love our door. They were very professional. We would use them again in the future.
