From the initial contact and throughout the move, everyone at Mark the Mover has been easy to work with. The group that worked with us worked from (around) 8:30 AM until 11:30 PM. They were well organized and did not waste any time. I hope I never have to move again, but if I do you can bet that I will contact "Mark the Mover".

It went great! Mike called the day before just to confirm and give us an idea of the time they would arrive. The following morning, they called about a half hour before they arrived to let us know they were on their way. Everything went very well. Mike said they worked quick, and they did! In addition to their speedy packing, they were extremely professional, nice and a pleasure to work with. Their unpacking on the other end was great too! They worked efficiently and professionally. All arrived in great condition and, in my opinion, they went beyond the call of duty, but also helping my daughter and I carry stuff we had loaded in our cars. I would, without hesitation, use Mark the Mover again! Thank you Mike G and crew!!

We requested an estimate for moving the contents of a 4 bedroom house to another location 20 miles away. We were quoted for a crew of 5 to complete in 6 - 8 hours. After calling around, most of our estimates came out to about the same per hour per person range. We decided to go with Mark the Mover based on there professionalism in scheduling. They seemed to be the most organized. We were extremely pleased the this professionalism was followed thru to the actual core business. Coleman and his crew, Daniel, Christian, D. Jackson, and T. Johnson, showed up in the expected window. They emptied the house in about 2.5 to 3 hours. It probably would have been even faster if we had less loose items. After our drive, they completed the unload of 2 trucks in about 2 hours, which came in under the estimated time. They put all of our items in the areas we designated. We had no damage to any of our items. The only casualty was a ding in the drywall whiled moving our clothes washer upstairs. They patched the dent and if I would have had the paint ready, I'm sure they would have done the touch up as well. If we ever have to move again, we won't even bother calling anyone else. They've earned our repeat business!

The estimator did a good job, but didn't look inside cabinets or chests to get a more accurate assessment of our weight. The price quoted came in too high, partly because the route he used for our move from Atlanta to Hendersonville, NC was estimated at more than 70 miles longer than it should have been. When I pointed this out, he agreed he probably used the wrong route, but I did not receive a revised quote. It probably would not have mattered, though, as the quote was about $1,200 higher than the next quote.

The crew from Mark the Mover arrived on time, padded and wrapped just about everything in my house, moved without harming the furniture or the house, and cleaned up after themselves. They were all polite and courteous and the crew chief was very knowledgeable, efficient and professional. I have moved several times in the past couple of years, and this was by far the best moving crew that I have come across. I would also like to add that all of the crew members worked continuously without a lunch or other breaks. They came ready to work and did.

I'm glad I read reviews and used Mark the Mover. My house was ready for them when they arrived on time. They were very careful with my furniture and nothing was broken. They padded and wrapped everything that needed it. While it was expensive, I was very pleased and would use them again.

It started with discussions with Paul at Mark the Movers. He is very knowledgeable and helpful and provided all the information we would need to get our move going. He explained their pricing and the gov't charges. We scheduled a team to come out about three days later for the move. The guys, led by Jabastian, were phenomenal. They were polite and sociable all while working their tails off and being meticulous and careful with our belongings. The truck was loaded in an hour less than I had anticipated! Upon arrival at our new place, we walked around and gave them the layout and again they were at it - putting everything where we discussed and asking questions if something wasn't labeled. I have already recommended them to a friend and will continue to do so. Hopefully we won't be moving again any time soon, but if we do I know who we will be calling!

Coleman and his crew arrived on schedule and worked unbelievably fast to load and then unload our furniture. It was hard to believe they were being paid by the hour . Despite the speed at which they worked, they were extremely careful with our belongings and took every precaution to avoid tracking dirt and mud into our new home ( it had rained heavily the day before our move ). We have moved approximately fifteen times and this was the best moving company I have ever used .Coleman's crew were all courteous , hardworking young men. I would not hesitate to use Mark the Mover again.

Mark the Mover called in advance of the move to confirm all the details. They provided several suggestions on how to make the move go as smoothly and cost efficiently as possible. On the day of the move they arrived on time and set to work very quickly. They padded and wrapped my furniture with great care and loaded everything within 2 hours. The unloading went very smoothly and nothing was broken, damaged or dented. It went very well.

I was pretty happy with them. They were very helpful, and calm because we weren't ready.

My move took 5 hours, and it was partly due to the extra work invoved for the rain. Their pricing and some of their policies have changed from the last time I used them 3 years ago. The whole move cost about 50% more than the last time, but I am happy enough with their work that I would still use them again. They warned me upfront on the phone that pricing had increased significantly. In order to save some time, they let me untape and take the shrink wrap off at the drop off location, but they would have been happy to do it. You are paying by the hour, so it's pretty much up to you what you want to have them do. I set up my own bed, but they would have done whatever I wanted. I told the crew upfront I would give them a nice tip if they took care of everything, and they did an excellent job! I will use them again.

fThe movers arrived punctually at 9:00 and began packing the truck. They brought a team of 5 which made the work go quickly (this was good because their fees are hourly). They arrived at the new house at the same time as I did which means they made no stops between residences. They were professional and considerate of not only the items they were moving but of the walls and light fixtures as well. They were constantly reminding each other to be careful of the walls. They were very careful with the items they moved. A couple of the more experienced men were constantly watching the newer ones and advising them on how to properly wrap the furniture so it wouldn't get damaged. When unloading at the new location, they took the time to put items where I requested and asked when they were unsure. They even helped me move some heavy furniture which was already there (not part of the move) to different rooms. They attached felts to the furniture legs so they would slide easily if I wanted to move pieces later. Nothing was damaged or broken during the move. PRobably the best experience I've had moving.

After watching a crew from Mark the Mover move my fiancee's belongings the week before (they were on time, courteous, and moved her belongings to our house in less time than estimated) I had high expectations. This was not the case for my move: * The crew arrived late, and began packing the truck before I had a chance to go over the paperwork * During the move, a pedestal was broken. They assured me someone would call about this, however they have not 10 days after the move * When they installed the dryer, they routed the dryer vent up and down using what was there. Eventually this would probably cause a buildup of lint, and become a fire hazard

First, they were on time. Next they worked from the moment they got there till the job was done. They were exceptionally friendly and fun to be around. They really took care of my stuff...wrapping every piece of furniture like it was their own. What really impressed me was the miracle of getting my new stacked washer/ dryer in the tiny space provided. The space was three narrow flights up. The width of the space was 33 inches....the width of the unit is 27 inches. I did not think they could do it....I thought I'd wasted $1300 for washer/dryer. But, they put their creative minds together, hoisted it straight up using a strap system they devised...then, they removed the outside door.....they got it in the narrow space and contorted themselves into unimaginable positions to get it hooked up. My move would have taken only 4 hours but with my washer/dryer it took 5 hours. At $180.00 an hour was it worth it.? I just finished my first load of laundry....for the miracle they pulled off it sure was worth it. I should have tipped them but I'm too broke. Thanks guys...I'll definitely tell people about you.

This was the 2nd time I've used Mark the Movers and I will never use another moving company again - it will ALWAYS be Mark the Movers. They are the most professional, courteous, hard-working, FAST crews I've encountered. I used them to move me out of my house last summer and they were superb. We've been in an apartment for 9 months and recently bought a new home. When I called for the move I requested the crew leader that moved me prior but was told Adam is now in administration. Therefore, (stupidly) I thought I'd save a few dollars and hire another company that got rave reviews in Kudzu. My mistake: cost me a lot more than Mark the Movers would have been, and the company could only move HALF my apartment's furniture in 8 hours. I called Mark the Movers and they were able to complete my move the next day. Incredible. Unbelievable: they were available at a moment's notice!!!) Not only did Donald, Kenny, and 'the Youngster' (can't remember his name but the young man Don and Kenny were training) come early and punctually they were extremely professional, courteous, HARD HARD working, and FAST. In 8 hours they were able to move the other 1/2 of my apartment, pick up my furniture being held in storage, move me to my new home, move everything the other movers put into my basement up into my house and assemble, move the rest of my furniture into my home, and then place the furniture I needed stored into the basement. . . . All without complaint, all without a break . . . . just the utmost professionalism. It's a real joy to be able to give an excellent review to a company that deserves it. I highly recommend Mark the Movers and I'll never use any other moving company again. Professional, courteous, respectful. This company puts the customer first and it shows.

I'ved moved myself at least 12 times in my life and when I finally moved into my forever home I decided to hire movers to expedite the process. Now I'm kicking myself for not doing this every time! I used Mark the Mover two times, and both times they were courteous, fast, helpful and extremely professional. My first move was within the city from one 3 bedroom house to a 4 bedroom house. They had the whole thing done within 4 hours. The second move was moving a piano within city. They were done within two hours, even though the piano is extremely heavy and difficult to move because of a broken wheel. Also, they were very accommodating. I had called Two Men and a Truck to set up a date and time but when I grew concerned about their lack of response and called to confirm their appointment setter told me that she though I was just shopping around and thus hadn't set up an appointment for me. I was lucky that Mark the Mover was so fast and responsive, or else I would have ended up moving myself after all.

Great crew that arrived promptly, worked hard the whole day, and were very receptive to any and all requests. Grant was the lead and had a great deal of experience in moving, and was accompanied by Marko and Corey supplying a tremendous amount of muscle power for many very heavy items. We were moving some very old and valuable antiques and furnishings from a high rise in Buckhead to my house and everything was wrapped securely and handled with great care. When everything arrived at my house, many more pieces of furniture had to be moved out or rearranged to accomodate the new arrivals. There was never any grumbling for any requests or surprises we threw at them when we forgot something had to be moved before something else would fit. They never took a break and were quite cheerful the entire day. I definitely got my money's worth and would highly recommend this team!

it was one of the better moves I have experienced.

They were very fast, and they seemed to treat our time as the most valuable thing. In other words, they are paid by the hour but they spend the entire time working. Their energy and speed helped my wife and me finally get into full-moving mode and start throwing everything still out into boxes so the movers could keep moving. My only complaint is that while repositioning a file cabinet they didn't pick it up enough and it left a hairline 1" scratch on the floor. It's a very small scratch, but we just had the floors redone so it's a very tough thing to stomach. To be fair, other than this they took good care of the floors, putting down cardboard and roll-out flooring everywhere to protect it.

The quote was for 5-8 hours total and $900-1,440 plus $125/night for storage. My final cost was $2,320. I felt like both days the movers started strong, but fizzled after 2 hours and by the end were just dragging. Overall, I was pretty dissapointed, particually after they provided an on-site quote after seeing my things and said in their written quote that they over "estimate in order to meet customer expectations." The good news, nothing they moved was broken and they didn't damage either house. However, based on the incredible difference from the quote I would not use them again. UPDATE: Mark the Mover refunded me 50% of the difference between the upper end of my quoted price and what I was actually charged. Pleased with the effort they put forth for good customer service. Upgraded score from D to C.

.. My husband and I were a little hesitant to hire this company since they do not provide a binding estimate, which other consumer groups adivse. The estimator that came to our home gave us some very good tips on keeping the price lower (buy your own boxes) and we took a leap of faith based on the excellent reviews. I cannot say enough good things about this company and Charlie our crew leader. He came on a Sunday with 5 strong packers and they had it all ready to go by evening. He returned right on time the next morning with 6 strong movers (one or two were the same as the day before) and began loading. By 1 pm we were ready to leave. They got us to Augusta safely, refusing to stop for a meal (I was willing to buy!). I've not seen such hard workers in quite a while. They were finished by 7 PM and I was so happy and relieved that I hugged each and every sweaty guy! Since then, we have nearly unpacked everything and I am pleased to report only the following items damaged: 2 candles snapped in two and the beak of a hummingbird porcelain broken off (which I easily glued together). Nothing else even scratched!

I called John at Mark the Movers and discussed our move and he was to send me an email confirming our conversation. After not receiving an email from him I called and asked him where it was and he told me he forgot. I said OK lets just schedule the move for the date we discussed and he said the date was now full (it was available when we spoke earlier) and if that was the only date we could move. It was and know I am trying to find a new mover. Not a good experience.
