Fulton is very nice and always reliable, but overall I feel like I've been taken advantage of (financially) for the last several years.
Description of Work: I have been using Fulton Plumbing, Heating and Air (FultonServices.com) for 6 years. They have repaired my AC twice, broken toilets, and leaky faucets. This time I had them come out to look at our water heater. They were prompt on appointment time and came to take a look. Our pilot light had been constantly going out and there was a leak. However, when they came to look at it, the pilot light was working and they said it was not. They quoted us a price to replace the gas water heater for just under $2000 (but could not give me a break down of cost). After doing some research and talking to the manager (who offered $250 off the price), we decided to go with another company. We saved $1200 for the same water heater they quoted us. I do like Fulton Plumbing, they have always been very nice and prompt, but now I'm very disappointed and feel I have been ripped off for previous work.

Willis came to our home the day after Thanksgiving. India scheduled the appointment- she is very sweet. She called to let me know that Willis would arrive ~ at 2pm. He also called when he was near our house. I always imagined plumbers to come in to our home with dirty boots and clothes.. I was wrong. Willis was well-dressed, professional, and even wore a shoe cover in our house. He looks like he was going on a business interview minus the briefcase. He quickly diagnosed the problem, went to his van to get the equipment, and got to work. He is also polite, kind, and an honest person.. I would use Atlanta Plumbing Plus again, and will definitely ask for Willis. What a pleasant experience for our family and how lucky we are to meet Willis!!!!
Description of Work: Willis changed the toilet valve and inspected the water pressure in our home, and more.

My garbage disposal clogged and stopped up my kitchen sink the day before Thanksgiving. I called at 9am and a plumber was at my house before 3pm the same day. Willis was friendly and professional, explained everything up front and told me my options, then performed the work quickly once I gave him the go ahead. He replaced my garbage disposal and left everything nice and clean. He also performed a whole house inspection and made recommendations were he saw potential problems. Their prices seem a smidge on the high side, but quality work is valuable. I will use Atlanta Plumbing Plus again, and I'll ask for Willis when I do!

Our front yard was flooding, and we couldn't figure out why. Atlanta Plumbing Plus sent someone out the next day to see if they could diagnose the problem. They found our pipes were from the 1960s and had never been replaced, so they were rusting out. They replaced the entire outside piping and attached to a new water meter. They did a wonderful job and we were pleased with the price.
Description of Work: They replaced our exterior water main line, which involved digging up the yard.

We called on Wednesday morning, and they made an appointment for later that day. The plumber arrived on time, but could not fix the old faucet. We went out and bought a new one, making an appointment for the following Tuesday. This meant we would not have the use of the kitchen sink for an entire week. We talked with India in the office, and she let Keith know how badly we needed the water back on. Keith was able to squeeze us in on Thursday afternoon. Needless so say, we are happy with our new faucet and the new plumber we will call the next time we need one. When a service professional goes above and beyond to help a new customer, it is really appreciated. Thank you Atlanta Plumbing Plus!
Description of Work: Replaced kitchen faucet. Plumber tried to fix the old one, but a part was clogged. This meant we had no running water in the kitchen. He made time for us in the midst of a busy schedule, and did an excellent job. You really miss your kitchen sink when it is out of commission. We will always be grateful that Keith the plumber was able to get it working again the next day.

I paid $230 for the whole work. First, he comes up and says it will cost $187 for a leak and then charged more for diagnostic. It is more for such as small work. It just needed two little washers. It was done in about five minutes. Doing it was alright, but the price of it knocked the hell out of me. Their responsiveness was alright.

This is the thrid time that I have used Atlanta Plumbing Plus and their work is always rated 'A #1' status for me. I called on Friday and setup an appointment for the next Tuesday and Keith was right on time as promised. We discussed the problem that I was having, which was a small pool of water on the basement floor next to the water heater, and he figured out the problem right away. He had the replacement PRV part in his truck and had the job completed within the hour. We discussed some upcoming work that I have planned for the house and Keith provided some good suggestions for me to keep in mind as I contract for the work to be done. Keith and everyone at Atlanta Plumbing Plus is always easy to talk with and great to work with. Keep up the good work.

They were very professional and flexible. They were prompt in scheduling the work, called to give us an estimate after diagnosing the problem (some repairs and faucet needed to be replaced), and completed the work that same day. My husband's mother was so happy with the work that was done and the new faucet that was installed. She also talked about how nice and polite the technician was who did the work. We were extremely pleased with this company, and would highly recommend this company to anyone who needed plumbing work done.
Description of Work: My husband and I live in Arizona, and we contacted Atlanta Plumbing Plus to so some plumbing work for my husband's mother who lives in Atlanta, GA. We chose this company because they had such a good rating on Angie's List. They were extremely flexible and agreed to do the work and bill us after the work was completed.

This is the second time that I have used Atlanta Plumbing Plus regarding my plumbing issues. This time, I telephoned their office and talked with Linda who is always such a pleasant person to speak to. I explained to her that the master bath toilet sounded as if it was filling with water about every 10 minutes. Since this matter was not an emergency and due to their heavy workload, one of their plumbers arrived early in the morning of the next business day. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the flapper and fill valve on the master bath toilet. He also checked the second bath toilet and determined that the water level should be adjusted, which he did at no charge.I also purchased a low flow showerhead (2 gallons per minute) from the plumber which he installed in the master bath. He said that this should reduce my water usage in the shower by about 20 percent. I have since used the shower and am pleased with the results. The plumber waived the standard diagnostic fee since I am a repeat customer. He also, free of charge, determined the pounds per square inch, the chlorine level and hardness of my water, which were all within acceptable levels. I was also able to use an Angie's List coupon for a 5% discount.

We chose Atlanta Plumbing Plus (APP) to replace three toilets in our home with new low flow units. We made our choice based on their record with Angie's List and a good job that they did in replacing our water heater about 1 year prior to this job. Unfortunately, we didn't have such a good experience with this project. Although they arrived on time, and acted in a professional manner, we found after they completed the job that two of the replacement toilets rocked back and forth when we sat on them. We notified APP of this problem and they sent out plumbers to correct the problem. After they corrected this problem we noticed that one of the replacement toilets sounded like it was using water while we were using it, prior to flushing. We called them out again and this time they essentially "threw in the towel". According to the notes that their plumber wrote on our receipt, "I did hear the sound. Sound is in bowl not in tank. I have no knowledge to make sound stop." Based on our experience with APP, they do well with routine problems, but replacing toilets with the new low flow models appears to be beyond their expertise.

Micah arrived 30 min after calling me to tell me he was on his way. He came in, checked everything, told me up front what it would cost to do repairs, and what it would cost if they were to have to go into wall to complete repair. Everything was done in about 1.5hrs and he cleaned up before leaving. He also sis a thorough inspection and pointed out a few things we should check in the future to bring out plumbing up to current code (and also gave me an estimate of how much those repairs sould cost).
Description of Work: Shut off valve installed in bathroom. Pipe broke so they had to cut hole in drywall to finish repair. Micah explained everything in detail, including the posibility of the break and the need to cut the dry wall, and cleaned up before leaving.

see above Update: HORRIBLE.........THE TEXH DID AN ESTIMATE WITHOUT EVEN CHECKING TO SEE WHAT I NEEDED AND THEN WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME $90.00 FOR A $12.00 PART
Description of Work: Could not give prices out over the phone as had to have a professional see the problem and this would cost approx. $60.00....so I agreed....the man, Micah, came on time and was very nice....but wanted $128. to replace a part i bought for $20.00 on one toilet...the other toilet would need the same work and did not have the part and charge would be $218....so they were going to charge me $90.00 for a part I bought at Home depot for 20 bucks.......two dripping bathtubs were going to cost me$ 219.00 each....total bill would have been over 700 dollars............pricing is a complete rip off.............I ended up paying the man 60 dollars to tell me what i already knew......could have saved 60 bucks if was told pricing over the phone.............................i am not a happy camper. Update: I had Micah from ATLANTA PLUMBING PLUS COME OUT FOR AN ESTIMATE.........he looked at both my tubs and both my toilets and went back out to his truck to write an estimate....which came to over $700.00. I asked him to leave as I had been up to Home Depot and asked a Rep there about my plumbing problems which where all leaks. I told Micah he was crazy to be charging me over $700.00 dollars and he said , " he had no control over company pricing". I then called another company and they came out immediately and total charge for all four items came to $120.00. Micha was going to charge me over $70.00 for a part that cost $12.00 at Home Depot. Then stems for both of my bathtubs were going to cost $219.00 each and turns out they only needed $1.00 washers ...to make matters worse Micah charged me $60.00 to for giving me an estimate and at no time did even he unscrew the stems to see if they needed washers or had to be replaced. Micah gave me an estimate to change my flapper and toilet valve at $ $142. because I had bought the part at Home Depot. For the other toilet whcih needed the same flapper and toilet fill valve he wanted to charge me $229.00 whcih inclued the part..i bought the part at home Depot for $12.00 but Micah was going to charge me 0ver $90.00 for a $12.00 part........this company is a rip off...i saved over $600.00 by telling Mr Micah to get out of my house and by calling another company.....if in Atlanta try G FORCE PLUMBING...THEY ARE EXCELLENT AND NOT RIP OFF ARTIST LIKE ATLANTA PLUMBING PLUS...THEY GOT THE PLUS RIGHT AS IT WILL COST YOU PLUS PLUS PLUS PLUS PLUS

A leaking main water pipe was flooding our front yard so badly we had to turn off the main water feed into the house. We searched Angies List for a qualified plumber who would respond on a Sunday...Atlanta Plumbing Plus arrived within an hour and a half of our call. They carefully searched for the exact location that the pipe was leaking (a very wonderful thing since we had just had new sod installed) ; found and fixed the problem. They did a great job and responded quickly.

Called them with three problems: PTrap on a sink needed replacing, Flapper on a toilet, ceramic disk cartridges for hot and cold water for a faucet. I asked ahead of time how the charges worked. The owner told me that they charge by the job, not by the hour as some plumbers work faster than others. Fair enough. They were prompt and the man that came was nice enough but the prices were very high. For PTrap and Flapper $128 EACH - really??? I asked how much the actual flapper costs - around $6 and literally takes no more than 10 minutes to replace. We paid the $60 service charge and sent him on his way. Got another plumber to do both those jobs for $110. The ceramic cartridges will need to be ordered as they are older but Atlanta Plumbing Plus would charge around $250. My new plumber will do for around $100-130. Seems like highway robbery. If you decide to use this company, my suggestion would be to ask them what they charge for what you suspect the problem might be. That way you can get an idea of what the cost might be without risking wasting the service call price as we did. They have a price book that lists prices for all jobs.
Description of Work: No services performed - too expensive.

My 40 gallon Rheem hot water heater started leaking right before it's 6 year warranty was up (miraculous). The quote that Atlanta Plumbing gave me to replace it was $900. Both Rheem and Atlanta Plumbing agreed it was still under warranty. I was appalled by this quote, which included a $135 fee for laying down plastic to protect my carpet. I decided to forgo the $59 service fee they charged and look for another company. Good thing. The next plumber I called charged me $300 to replace my water heater under full warranty. They did a wonderful job.

The job involved removing the old discharge pump which is in very tight quarters, installing the new pump, new check valve & rebuilding the discharge system from basement floor to main sewer line. Then the system was tested & adjusted to proper operation. The following day I noticed seepage coming from the floor plate of the pump well & the pump was not turning on. Micah returned the following day, discovered paper towel debris in the pump blades causing the pump to jam & he determined that the sewer line to the street was partially blocked. He removed the pump & cleaned the blades of debris, then unclogged the sewer line of tree roots up to 100'. In addition, he provided excellent instruction about how to maintain the sewer system so that it remains unclogged.
Description of Work: The basement discharge pump had burned out & water from the basement commode was leaking into the basement. Atlanta Plumbing responded within 24 hrs & gave me a quote to fix the pump or replace it & bring the entire system up to code. I chose to replace the pump, check valve & 8' of 2" discharge line. Micah Rogers, master plumber, did the work & did a fabulous job. He had to come back a few days later because of a jammed pump & clogged sewer line. He was polite, professional & is probably one of the best plumbers I have ever had the pleasure to use. Atlanta Plumbing was very responsive to my needs & problems throughout this ordeal & they did the right thing at every juncture. Definitely a quality company that deserves to be at the top of Angie's List.

My experience with this company was nearly 300 dollars for a fix that didn't last a week. I'll simply post the facts which are as follows; My disposal was back up had the come up to unclog it. I paid a 287 dollar bill which was after a 25 dollar off coupon for a job a competitor quoted slightly more than 1/2 the price. It was not done correctly and within a few days while not using the disposal I was experiencing the same issue . Contacted the company and they offered to discount the cost of replacing the disposal by 287 dollars... After the discount it was still 67 dollars more than what I paid to have the new disposal put in by another company. The mangers tone was also very condescending, I'm wouldn't run by business like this and I would warn you they they will overcharge, u der deliver and won't even offer to make it right. Stay away! I through 300 dollars away with them, the worst Angie's list expense I've had and I had 20k worth of renovations done on my home using Angie's list providers.

We are sorry that this client feels this way. When we came to the home, there was a clog in the drain coming from the disposal. This was because of a problem with the drain and with the disposal. We gave the client prices to fix the drain and disposal. The work was completed on the drain but was denied to fix the disposal. Because of this, the client was warned that the problem could persist because the disposal was not working. The problem happened again and the client called because the issue was still occurring. We offered a very reasonable solution to fully fix the client’s problem but they denied. The client had already had the disposal replaced by someone who could do the job cheaper. I explained that there will always be someone willing to do a job cheaper than the next guy. We are a professional, fairly large company who only has licensed technicians and a staff to make the process as simple and smooth as possible. Because of that, we do have to charge more than the guys running out of one truck or a company that doesn't have licensed technicians. We don't charge an unfair amount but enough to be able to run a successful company. We have been around for more than 90 years serving Atlanta and want to be around for 90+ more to come. We strive on providing our clients the best service possible. We hate it that it didn't work out so well with this client. Thank you for giving an honest opinion though. All feedback is always welcome.
