+ -1 moreAltogether, across the course of a year, we spent approximately $7,500 with this company and received high value for the amount spent. The work was excellent and they took good care of our home during all of the construction.
Description of Work: We had the plumbing in a soffit (cast iron drain lines and copper water lines) removed from our kitchen and replaced with new lines that were installed in a new soffit on the outside kitchen wall on our back porch in order to increase more cabinet space in our kitchen. At the same time, they did all of the plumbing for the kitchen remodel. Moving the plumbing and installing a new sink, faucet, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and icemaker line for the refrigerator. They subsequently came back to replace the cast iron drain lines in the basement, and then again to install a new water heater when our old one broke. They also did all the plumbing work for a bathroom renovation. Nothing was moved significantly, but all new fixtures were installed and everything was connected and returned to working order.

Description of Work: This company never performed any work for me. They sent one technician out and he said my air conditioner, only 5 years old, was in need of costly repairs, so costly that I should go ahead and purchase a new unit for $17,000.00; charged me $95.00 and left. A few days later the company called, I complained, and the manager sent a new guy out. The new guy told me I needed a new air conditioner as well and the cost would be $13,000.00. The second guy never knew about the first guy. When I confronted him, he said he did not want to get involved. When I showed him the first bid for $17,000 and I asked him how he could work for a company like this. He apologized and left. Meanwhile the manager, clueless, never sent the $95.00 back I asked for. This company is a bunch of Con Artists. Another company came out found the problem in 5 minutes, it was the blower $300.00. Since the installation of the blower all is well. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!

+ -1 moreSome of my house drains were not draining or were draining slowly. The first two times they came out, they rodded the drain, but noted that something seemed amiss, recommending that a camera be used to diagnose the problem. The third time I agreed to the camera and we found construction debris in the pipe. In all cases, they were very upfront about the cost. You pay a minimum fee just to have them come out. They did what they said they were going to do and did it right. I think the fees were expensive, but I have not priced other plumbers.
Description of Work: Diagnosed and repaired a drain pipe obstruction in my home's internal plumbing. They used a camera after first rodding the pipe. They had to cut a hole in a ceiling to reach where the obstruction was, then cut the pipe, found the obstruction, removed it, and installed a new piece of pipe.

+ -1 moreThe person I talked to on the phone was very nice and professional. They were able to provide me with same day service, which was nice. He showed up on time and did not mind me watching him. He also explained everything that he had to do for the repair.
Description of Work: I had them repair the sensor for the pilot on my 60 gallon water heater because it was not lighting properly.

+ -1 moreWe have used this plumbing company for many things over the years and have been most satisfied with their work. They are very efficient and very courteous to us when they come. Even though I don t like to show the charges, I can say they are very reasonable and we will continue to use them.
Description of Work: They put in a new sewer line for us, having to trench out the old one using a backhoe. They took about 2 days completing this and all the old material and waste was thrown out by them when they cleaned up and put back the dirt.

They are able to answer any questions that I have, and are honest as well. Overall, I am pleased with the service.

+ -1 moreI would never use them again as I noticed that my toilet rocked after they put it back on. It wasn't like that before they did the repair to it. I have never bothered to call them to come back out and fix it though as I don't think that they would have made an effort to come back out. I also asked them for a quote on a water heater and they kind of blew me off. They were okay, but not perfect.
Description of Work: Fulton Plumbing snaked out the main interior line of our toilet.

+ -1 moreThe man from Fulton's was a very nice guy. He was personable and knowledgeable as he answered all of the questions I had. He worked very quickly and explained what I needed to do so my disposal will not stop up again.
Description of Work: Fulton Plumbing fixed our garbage disposal using just a disposal wrench, he offered to give us his wrench to keep for future trouble, as he usually does in this situation. However, he only had one left and he needed to keep it, but told us where to pick one up very reasonably. He went on to share, if we had a disposal wrench it could easily save us $$$ by cutting down on our need for a plumber. Regarding our outdoor spigots. While he was here, I asked him to go ahead and repair all our leaking outdoor faucets, of which there are three. And he did. That is where the expense was incurred.

+ -1 moreIt was determined that I needed to have a clean out valve installed in front of the house. While the camera was still in the line, the yard was marked for the spot to dig (line was five and a half feet below the ground). It was at this point that I was given an estimate for the work to be done. I was told that the charge for the tractor to do the digging alone was $1,600 and that the total for the the job would be $2,100 to $2,300, excluding the camera charge ($475). All I was told was that I was looking at almost $3,000 for this job. I initially agreed because it was Thanksgiving weekend and felt I would have trouble finding someone to do the work. After considering though, I called around that Monday and based on Angies List, I found Zurn Plumbing who quoted $1,300 for the same job.
Description of Work: The sewer line was backing up into the house. I called Fulton and somebody came out withing four hours, very promptly. The technician ran a camera into the line and determined that the blockage was outside the house, being caused by roots growing in the line. He marked the spot in the yard for the clean out valve to be installed and determined that it was five and a half feet below the ground.

+ -1 moreWe had the annual maintenance contract for air conditioner service. The charge to clean the units on top of the annual fee was over $300. The AC unit died after the repair. Despite promised 24 hour service, they did not return our calls the same day. The next day a second service person said that after cleaning the unit lost freon, and replaced freon. He noted that the evaporator was old and needed to be replaced and that the prior service person had not checked the freon pressure after the cleaning. He placed Freon and charged an additional visit charge of $163 above the freon. Two hours later the unit again stopped working. I again called the second repair person who said they would take care of it in a few days and hung up on me.

We chose to replace the hot water heater rather than repair it due to its age (13 years) but they did not push me to do the replacement. Quoted a price and stayed with it. They had the job done that day. To the extent it makes a difference with the company's response time--we are a service contract customer.
