I really liked them. They were great. They came out when I got the leak. I called them and they came right then. The guy who came out, his name was John. He was really awesome. He cleaned up after himself. They were pretty expensive. I would consider using them.

They were excellent. Their service was excellent and very expensive, but sometimes you rather pay the money than have another problem. They were dressed in a professional way, and addressed me by Mrs. Franz. They were very pleasant and informative.

This company goes the extra mile to satisfy their customers. India is always helpful when she answers calls. She keeps you inform about the appointments. I was able to get schedule the appointment the same day I called. Willis also goes above and beyond- very professional. He correctly finds the problem and does excellent work in fixing it. We are very pleased with the services from this company.

We had a year long contract that covered heat and air and everything had gone fine until this last inspection. The technician thought there was a leak and told me he needed to find where it was coming from and it would cost $250. After I saw what the leak search actually involved, I felt he had taken advantage of me. Instead of explaining things to me, he rattled off a lot of numbers and model numbers (that meant essentially nothing to me since I am not an HVAC expert) and I didn't have time to write down important details for discussion later. It didn't really matter though because I already knew there was no way we were going to pay this guy to replace such an expensive and important piece of equipment in my house. He also didn't clean up his mess and left a protective cover off of our outside unit. We weren't going to be using it, but nonetheless, unprofessional and unappreciated. The system he recommended was based on a phone call with his manager and the square footage of our house. We later learned that any HVAC person worth working with does a load calculation to determine the right equipment and not just a rough guess. Obviously, doing a truly good job was too time consuming. A few weeks after this experience, someone from the office called to ask if I wanted to renew my contract. I said I did not and explained why. I never heard anything else from them.

This job took two service calls to get the problem corrected. The first plumber diagnosed the leak incorrectly and said the leak was due to poor caulking in the upstairs shower which was allowing water to seep through the ceiling wallboard. I had the bathroom shower caulked perfectly and leak still occurred. Another plumber was dispatched the following day, and properly diagnosed the problem after cutting away a small piece of drywall to reveal the source of the leaking copper tube. The initial quote for the work by this second plumber was for $1033, but he thought it might take him all day to finish. He completed the job in less than three (3) hours, but still charged me the full $1033. While his work was excellent, I feel the cost was out of line and substantially higher than it should have been for the time it took to complete the job. I would hesitate to use this business in the future due to the way they charged for the job.

The plumber who performed the work was on time, very courteous and performed the requested services and took a quick walk-through of a recently purchased home to look for any trouble issues. All of the work was performed well and I can say that over 3 months later, the drain hose that he custom-manufactured is holding up well with no leaks. Excellent service and I would use again. The reason for the "C" on the price is that I think most plumbing services are too expensive for the services performed. I doubt I would find many companies that I would give an A or B grade to here. I don't think they were more expensive than anyone else, but come on... this work took a couple of hours at most and the parts cost was between $50-$100 at retail rates. With that said, this company performed very well and I would use them again in the future.

They replaced our kitchen faucet. They did a good job, but were not entirely clear ahead of time about options. The "deal" only included a really basic faucet, whereas, we had a really nice one that they said would cost more to fix than to replace (though it was only three years old). So, in order to get a comparable faucet, we would have had to pay an unbelievable amount of money, which we were not prepared to do. So, bottom line, we now have a functional, basic, ugly kitchen faucet. Feel kind of like they were out to make bank on the upgrades...

Atlanta Plumbing Plus advised $89 to just come to home for estimate. Estimate was to be provided before work performed. Technician did not provide estimate but went right to work. Technician did not have tools required to remove and change cartridge and spoke about cutting through tile to change entire valve because "cartridge does not come out." Showed technician U-Tube video explaining service and showed tools needed. Technician left to purchase tools (Technician called it a Pulley) and used owners Allan Wrenches. Technician returned and changed cartridge but failed to water seal shower handle faceplate. Technician indicated that service price was reduced because technician failed to provide estimate but price was $389 total. Requested how $389 price to change a cartridge was a reduced price and technician showed price book of nearly $800 for valve replacement. We debated the difference between valve and cartridge replacement so he showed book price for $300 for 3/4 hours work - NOT a discounted price. It was then we found that Atlanta Plumbing Plus was purchased by FULTON PLUMBING HEATING A/C. WE WILL NOT USE AGAIN!
Description of Work: Purchased Moen Positemp shower cartridge from Lowe's but wasn't able to pull old cartridge out. Had idea of what it takes to change and understood a special tool would be needed, if old cartridge did not pull out. Atlanta Plumbing Plus (Angie's List coupon 5% off) responded when needed. Cartridge removed by technician.

Just writing now almost two months after the service call since I've had another plumber over to complete the repair to a basement shower leak that was one of two original problems. I have two issues worth noting. First, I had been doing business with Atlanta Plumbing Plus which had gone out of business, but when I called their number in late January to book an appointment neither the reservation taker nor the phone message indicated I was speaking with another company (Fulton Plumbing Heating and Air) that had purchased the customer list / business of the plumber that I thought I had called (and had done work for me previously). I only found out the situation when I was on the phone with the technician (I was at work) who was on-site at my home and he was telling me about another problem with our water heater's thermal tank which had been installed by Atlanta Plumbing Plus. He told me that he was with Fulton and that, in essence had no responsibility for the previous work done by Atlanta Plumbing Plus. I think Fulton should have let me know when I booked the appointment that I wasn't dealing with Atlanta Plumbing Plus. If I had know this I would have been able to reference Angie's List to understand feedback on the company and be able to select another if it wasn't good feedback. Second, just today I had another plumber out which is highly ranked by the Angie's List community. They were able to fix the shower leak for significantly less than what Fulton was quoting. The technician from Fulton quoted me a price of ~$350 for the cartridge alone during the January 29th, 2013 visit which I decided against. He actually had recommended I try to get a free one from Kohler directly which was impossible for me to do since I could not, after a few hours of research, determine which cartridge I had installed. Besides, he told me that he didn't have that part available. I also want to note that the highly ranked plumbers who worked for me today charged much less for the new cartridge and its replacement which included the trip charge -- much less. I also asked the plumber I had today to quote me from the top of his head how much it would cost to replace the pressure valve. The $714 standard rate charged by Fulton Plumbing to replace the pressure valve was well over double the price quoted by the plumber who visited me today. He explained that it would have been done in 1/2 hour with a $20 to $30 part. In sum, it was clear that the pressure valve required replacement, but the price charged was excessive. I've included the pricing for all services received on 1/29/2013 above, so I'll let you determine if I was ripped off or not. I've decided that I will not be using Fulton again.
Description of Work: Asked for service of poorly draining master bathroom sinks and leak in shower located in basement. However, I ended up purchasing a new pressure valve (I was told pressure was over 100 versus recommended of 50 to 60) which, I was also told, had ruined my thermal tank near the water heater. Standard rates: Unstopped two bathroom sinks = $216; Pressure valve replacement = $714; Thermal tank replacement = $514. I paid $80 for a Service agreement to obtain $217 off of standard rates or: Unstopped sinks = $183; Pressure valve replacement = $607; Thermal tank replacement = $437; Service agreement = $80; plus, $60 trip charge.

Response from Fulton Services
Thank you for the review. We value all our clients’ reviews where we have serviced. I am happy to see the A grade next to quality because we at Fulton Services strive to provide the highest quality service in Atlanta. The C next to professionalism concerns me but we will investigate the reason for that grade. All I can say about our prices is that we charge a fair price for the work we perform and the quality service we provide. We have been around for over 90 years serving the Atlanta area with tens of thousands of happy clients. There is always somebody out there who is going to do work cheaper than the person who came before them and the only thing we can do about that is continue to make sure we provide the best service and quality for our rates. We charge what we need to charge to keep only the highest quality technicians who are always background checked, drug tested, and are constantly going through training so they are well versed for any situation so the client will get the work done properly. For the issue of the pressure valve, high pressure is the leading cause for plumbing failure in the home. The fixtures in a home are not meant to with stand high pressure and will fail overtime if subjected to the high pressure. We use only the highest quality valves which do cost more than a lot of vales on the market. Because of the quality valve we use, the price will be higher than some other guys and we are aware of this. The reason we do it is because we know that the pressure valve is an integral part of the plumbing in a client’s home working right and we want them to be assured that once it has been changed, they will have peace of mind for a long time to come. We do appreciate the opportunity to have serviced your home. We are here 24/7 if there is ever anything we may be of service for you again.

Our shower head in the master bed was leaking. The technician, Sandy Hoskins, diagnosed the problem and immediately worked to resolve the problem. When he fixed it, it was fixed and they didn't have to come back. About a week later I received a thank you post card from the company signed by Hoskins. I thought that was nice touch.

He charged me $1,371.00 for a maximum of three hours of work. I talked to a supervisor, Michael Gordy today. The owner is supposed to call me. I hope this owner will make this good. They have just totally ruined my week. It just seems like a scam orchestrated between the plumber that came and the supervisor who was looking over the job. The plumber was gone for 45 minutes, when he returned to my house he walked right in the front door without knocking or ringing the doorbell. Totally unprofessional. Also, they no longer go by the name of Atlanta Plumbing Plus, they go under Fulton Services. Use this company at your own risk.
Description of Work: They replaced a pressure reducer valve and fixed a leak under and behind the kitchen sink. I was lead to believe it was going to be a six to eight hour job. He said he might have to go into the slab of my house. None of that happened. He was done within two and a half hours. I was told the valve alone was $600.00. I researched later and found out the valve is only $50.00 everywhere.

Sandy was very friendly and professional. I appreciated that he always wore plastic coverings over his boots when walking on our newly-refinished floors. The work came out exactly as I had hoped. Hours after he left, however, a leak developed in the new copper pipe. The company was very responsive, and they came by very quickly to fix it. Another minor issue appeared a few days later and they again acted quickly to resolve it. I was very pleased to receive such responsive follow-up service after the sale.

Sandy came on time and was very courteous. He performed the work - replacing old galvanized pipes that led to my washing machine and re-pipe the kitchen sink drain line. The work did eliminate the odor I was smelling from leaks at the joints of the galvanized pipes. However, ever since this work was completed my kitchen sink has been backing up after the water runs for a while. This NEVER happened before. I believe it is due to the way the sink drain line was changed - can't imagine what else could have caused this. They have been out to look at this twice and have told me that "there must be a blockage down the line somewhere". They never looked for a blockage just told me that I would have to deal with it. So, after spending about $1,200, I am now stuck with a kitchen sink that backs up almost every time I do dishes. Don't know how much more it is going to cost to get this fixed. Would I recommend or use these people again? Of course not!

We've had issues with a shower leaking into a downstairs closet, and it was a major leak. We tried multiple plumbers over several months and no one was able to properly identify the source of the leak and fix the leak, and we had to pay several hundred dollars with no solution. We joined Angie's List with the hopes of finding a plumber to fix the problem, and that's exactly what we did. Atlanta Plumbing Plus was the only plumber that was actually able to solve the problem. Additionally, we had a hot water heater that was dripping from the top. It turned out to be a busted pressure valve, and we had Atlanta Plumbing Plus install a new pressure valve. That valve eventually started dripping again, so we'll have to have them come back to take another look at that, but the overall visit was more than worth it to us because they were able to solve a major problem for us by stopping the leaks from the shower.

I would recommend Atlanta Plumbing Plus- everyone that I have interacted with have been very professional. Willis is detailed and provides quality work. He is also patient and takes time to explain everything which I appreciate. He also cleaned up the area and wore shoes cover when he came in our house. I will call Atlanta Plumbing Plus again for any plumbing issues.
Description of Work: We used this company before and requested Willis again because he has excellent work ethics. When India called on Friday to schedule the appointment, she told us that Willis would not be available until Wednesday due to the holiday and he is booked that week. Of course, we would wait.. we could do without hot water for a few days. We trusted Willis and would want him to inspect/fix any water heater problems at our home. Willis arrived promptly.. He inspected the problem and explained everything to me, and immediately went to work. He installed a new water heater and replaced some gas line and pipes..I could not believe that it took him less than 2 hours to do all of this. He has excellent work ethics and Atlanta Plumbing Plus is lucky to have him.

After my shock of realizing that my policy did not cover the water leak, I was extremely happy with the knowledge, efficiency, and care and concern of Atlanta Plumbing Plus. They diagnosed my water problem, fixed it, and then discovered another issue I didn't even know I had. They fixed that problem and left me with a feeling of really being well served.
Description of Work: I had a water leak somewhere and didn't know the location. I knew there was a problem because my water bill went from $37 to $370 in one month. I called Service Line Warranties because I have coverage in case it's not a city responsibility. SLW had Atlanta Plumbing Plus call me. APP was concerned and helpful in getting someone to come as soon as possible to perform a leak search. Sandy came, professional and friendly, and performed the leak search. He found that my irrigation line was broken and not the water line. He was very earnest and honest in explaining to me that my policy did not cover this leak because it was my irrigation line. So, he dug up my yard, neatly and carefully, and repaired the irrigation line close to the water meter. He replaced the shut off valve and then tested the waterline with no leaks. He answered all my questions and explained what he was doing step by step. Because Sandy cut the water meter off and then back on to repair the leak, when I started a load of laundry, a hammering of pipes in my basement started. It really frightened me because it was so loud. Sandy reassured me and was very knowledgeable about what it was and why it was happening. He checked the PRV and the pressure was at 120 PSI. The PRV was broken. So he replaced the PRV in the basement and the water hammering stopped. He tested the pressure after the PRV was installed and it is now at 60 PSI. I was so relieved and appreciative of Sandy's efficiency, expertise, and his care and concern that I get my problems solved.

Called out to replace a bathroom shower knob that had a worn stem and so couldn't be turned off. I had removed knob since I presumed that it would save some time and to draw attention to the specific problem. To their credit, I had something come up and had to step out, so some confusion may have been warranted. However, I had left information about the problem with their scheduler and with my mother-in-law who was home to receive the plumber. And another nod to their credit is that my instructions about where the water shut off valve was caused some time consuming hunting. The problem was due to a worn stem that the knob in the shower could not grip, and so we were unable to completely turn off the water without removing the knob and using a wrench to turn it. When I returned, I found that the bathroom looked much the same state as I had left it; except that I had an invoice for $287. And so, I was confused and called their office. I called Atlanta Plumbing Plus, they acknowledged why I would be confused and offered to send the plumber back out in the evening. At the very least, I thought, we could get the shower usable again. When he arrived, he claimed that water was shooting out of all three stems in the shower and that he had replaced either two or three stems (we can't really be sure). I challenged him about * the lack of water in the room, "It wasn't leaking that much or in the wall, or on it." - uh... ok... * The fact that the portion that the knob attaches to still shows the wear from using a wrench and is too worn to grip by the knob "I replaced an internal part" - ok... I guess. * about the fact that neither I nor my mother-in-law mentioned this as a problem "She said it was leaking" - At the absolute best, this is willful ignorance. My mother-in-law demonstrated the problem. I can (and did) simply ask her - she's standing right there after all. * and about the fact that the problem I had called about in the first place had not been resolved. "You should go to Ace hardware to pick up a new aftermarket part" - No... that's why I called a plumber, so that you would fix it. This was followed by an offer to go to Ace for me- if I was willing to pay more. There was also a suggestion that there was a strong possibility that I would not be able to find a way to fix the original problem at all and that I would have to replace the entire faucet. Which left me puzzled as to why I was having this conversation. At this point, I realized that I was stuck in a he-said, she-said situation and that having him fix what I asked them to come for was going to cost me more money without clear results. The best I can do at this point is cut my losses. So I sent him on his way, his superiors wouldn't let him leave without me signing something to the effect that he had explained himself. I told him I'd be more interested in signing a statement of my own, but after a few minutes of wrangling I signed anyway. I have no doubt that he did "something", I just don't know what, and that it was not what he was called for in the first place. Everyone that I spoke to (including the plumber himself) was friendly and seemed professional, but I'm at a loss as to how this happened and will definitely not be working with them again.
Description of Work: Not entirely sure what was done. Certainly nothing that was asked for.
