This was my third appointment with this company. Again, I was very pleased with the work. Ken was punctual, down to earth, and professional. The total $232.00 cost included a $46 bronze tail piece for which Ken made a special trip to obtain for me. He was willing to come back early the following day to install the needed part. Again, he cleaned up after he was done with the work. Ken did an excellent job on the installation. I will definitely continue to use this company.

My neighbor called to tell me that water was gushing in the front yard near the water meter. I was afraid the main water line to the house ruptured. When I got to it, water was gushing from the sprinkler system master valve, which is near the water meter. After shutting off the water at the meter, I called Atlanta Plumbing. They arrived about 5 hours after I called them. I was expecting to have the yard dug up, but they didn't have to. They only had to replace the PVC fitting at the sprinkler system master valve.
Description of Work: Replaced crack PVC fitting connecting the sprinkler system to the water line.

Atlanta Plumbing Plus turned a bad situation into a great experience. The leak in the water line to the house was actually in the foundation (a result of poor construction) and required an additional visit due to the complexity of the repair. The leak was small and the visit was scheduled about 4 days out. However, the next day the leak grew larger and we started to have some dripping in our basement - exactly when Atlanta was in "Snowstorm 2010" - and on a weekend. In spite of all this, Atlanta Plumbing Plus made an awesome effort to make sure our repair was done super quickly and fought the snow to come out the next morning. The thing that impressed us mostly was that they never made us feel like the visit was an inconvenience. The next time I have a plumbing issue, they'll be the first I'll call.

I came home after 2 weeks away. My neighbors had turned off the water and explained there what seemed to be a major leak and water was pouring out of the back of the house. I was expecting a major repair. Ken Johnson was right on time; turned the water on slowly and immediately figured the problem was minor and fixed the problem quickly and for a lot less then I figured. Ken was great.

Very punctual and fast with the repair, less than two hours.
Description of Work: We had a water line freeze over the weekend, luckily it was on a separate water from the main plumbing. Called in on Sunday and they sent Ricky Bills out first thing on Monday AM. He was able to find the break in a tough to access spot, noted the line had been repaired twice before. He removed the section of line with the two repairs and made a better bypass repair with two 90 bends. We discussed better insulation for this area, which I will need to look into.

They had to run a pipe from the meter on the road to our house. They had to dig a little ditch and put in a new pipe. They came on the 9th of December to do a temporary fix, as the pipe broke. So, they patched it and came back to do the job on the 14th of December. They left dirt where the pipe was and they said that they would leave it over there so that it would sink in, but it didn't. So, they dug up some grass and put it back. So, my husband was really unhappy with that and he was also unhappy with the way the yard looked after they left. Ken was the guy that they sent out and he was in charge of the work. He was very nice, courteous and professional. He explained everything to us. There were only 2 negative things about them. I felt that the price charged by them was expensive. I have nothing to compare their price to, as it's not like I have plumbing work done every week by different companies. Moreover, I don't know what the going rates are. However, I have mixed feelings about it because they could have done a better job about that, but nowadays a company just performs a service and nothing else. I am not sure as to what is fair and what has to be expected. I am not even sure as to how much it should cost in reality versus what we paid. We chose them based on a recommendation by a consumer review company. They did a good job of hooking the pipe up. Their responsiveness was pretty good. We had no water on the day the pipe broke and so, they came out the same day for the temporary fix. Ken was really professional, but the guys who did the work weren't very professional. I might use their services in the future.

I sent an email at 9pm on Sunday after Xmas. Received call next day before 10am. Very helpful customer service and scheduler was able to get us an appointment same day..even after long Xmas holiday weekend. Ken Johnson, our tech, arrived within the expected appointment window. Ken was professional and was able to diagnose the problem quickly. Our Whirlpool water heater is apparently quirky, but Ken was able to diagnose the problem quickly and had the parts on the truck to handle tohe problem right away. After completing the repair, Ken hung around another 10-15 minutes just to make sure that nothing unexpected made the problem come back right after the tech leaves....I know that has happened to me before with other services and it took another day to get the tech back out to re-do the work. I sensed tha Ken was missing family time to make sure we were taken care of and if that is trur, I can't say how much we appreciate being handled that day rather than put off another day. Now once repaired and water heated, obviously it was not a better shower than before, but knowing how much Atlanta Plumbing Plus did for us to get a shower that day sure made the shower feel that much better.

Our hot water heater only worked when we relit the pilot light every time we needed hot water. We had tried having it fixed to no avail. I called the people who had originally installed it and was not satisfied with their response or price just to show up and shine a flashlight. I called Atlanta Plumbing Plus and Ken came over within a few hours (thank you to the office assistant!) to look at the situation for no charge since he was on a call nearby. Evidently it was the wrong kind of water heater for the space and was not up to code. Ken explained things in a way I could understand and I felt the price was reasonable. He came back when he said he would and had the new one installed in about 2 hours, even with all the manuevering in a tight space. And we have been enjoying hot water whenever we want it ever since. Thanks Ken!

They were on Angie?s List, so we chose them. Their price was very reasonable. The plumber that we got had a lot of feedback on him, and he was really wonderful. He called before he came, and he came in early. We have recommended them to someone, and we will use them in the future again.

I didn?t have a good experience with them. They tried to charge me $1280 as labor cost for installing a water heater. I had called them because their number was on the warranty. They sent a guy out on the same day to make sure to check the leak. He did it for free. He called his manager and they tried to charge me $1280. It was a complete rip-off. I wanted to call them back and ask them the reason for their expensive estimate. I?ll not use their services again in the future. I got the job done by somebody else for $350.

Called Atl plumbing for a leak I had that ruined a ceiling in bath on the floor below. I had anticipated a long and expensive repair involving plumbing inside walls. The master plumber ( ken) located the lk right away in an area that was a quick fix. He certainly could have strung it out without me knowing. The work was fast, professional and was a fair price (better than fair). I would recommend them anytime.

It could not have gone better. At last, I have total peace of mind about being able to rely on a plumbing company. Prior to using Atlanta Plumbing Plus, I used two plumbing companies, both from the Cumming area. The first one did not work cleanly and left a mess and the second one -- called for a different plumbing problem that involved a leaking water line on the refrigerator -- did not fix the problem and had to come back twice (after two more mop up disasters on hardwood floors!). When Ken, from Atlanta Plumbing Plus, came to fix the plumbing problems here and install the faucet I'd selected, his service was amazing: immaculate, clearly knowledgeable (that was evident from the start), and, in view of all that was done, reasonable. This is a company that I would absolutely trust to be in my house even if I wasn't home and I can't say that about any other contractor I've used. This plumbing company is THAT good. They think of everything -- from wearing shoe covers to clearly stating what did NOT need fixing, when I asked about it. They clearly have the customer's best interests at heart. This is the kind of company I can and will call on for any plumbing need and then never have to worry about an unfair cost or less than perfect work. They are also the caliber of company that is so reliable and buttoned-up (they even called me 30 minutes before their scheduled arrival time so that my schedule did not have to depend on their schedule) that I wish I could find this same remarkable level of reliability in providers of other services. They offer exceptional service and have the interests of the customer at heart -- including reasonable costs -- especially in view of their superior work. To my mind, this company wrote the book on exceptional customer service and work excellence. I'm very glad I found and used them.
Description of Work: Obtained and installed the special kitchen faucet I wanted. Also, at my request, installed burst-proof lines on all sinks, toilets, the stationary tub and the washing machine. Then fixed the leak (which they found and that would have caused major sheet rock and mold damage) coming from one of the upstairs Jack and Jill vanities as well as fixing the leak from the guest bathroom toilet (this leak I spotted before they came to install the faucet and burst-proof lines).

We realized (late on a Friday) that our water bill was five times more than it usually was. Called Atlanta Plumbing Plus. Right away, we were very impressed with their quick answering of the phone (and we got to talk to a live person who was very nice and very professional). They were very understanding that we had a major leak and needed a quick repair. They were able to send out someone 36 hours later on a Sunday with no additional charge for weekend work. That Sunday morning, the plumber called to tell us that he was on his way - we appreciate this courtesy. He arrived right on time at 8:00 am as the person on the phone said he would. One of best things we can say about this plumber was that he explained exactly what he was going to do before he did it, he explained any "risks" that could occur at each step (along with the potential cost). Then he did exactly what he said he was going to do and most importantly, he explained clearly and succinctly WHY he needed to do what he was doing. We are ?detail people? and this was key for us. He clearly explained their pricing and even though we had a 10% off Angie's list coupon, he gave us 15% off. He explained that finding our leak and digging in the correct location was critical. Using a few logical tests (sticking a spike in various locations in the ground) and some good guesswork, he said he was reasonable sure he knew where our leak was. He made it clear that we could spend $300 with a leak detection company, but since he had some level of confidence where the leak was, he didn't see the need for us to spend this extra money (in our particular case). He made it clear that if he did not have a level of confidence, he would not have even attempted to dig a hole and waste his time, our time, and our money. (In that case, he would have recommended the leak detection company). But he dug the hole and was 100% correct. The copper pipe was broken at the house foundation right where he dug the hole. He explained his recommended fix of replacing the entire copper line through the foundation vs trying to patch the leak and did exactly that -- quickly and professionally. He had to come in the house and wore shore covers. We asked about our water shutoff valve and our water pressure gauge in our 20 year old house and he explained how much it would be to replace them. He did not try to "sell us" on buying these items in any way which we appreciated. We decided that they were probably near the end of their life and we chose to replace them. He was happy to do this extra work and only charged us for the parts since he had already cut the line to do the original repair. He finished the work quickly, tested it, and filled in the hole and you would never be able to tell he was there. The bill was exactly the amount he quoted ? no hidden fees, taxes, or trip charges. We had questions about other potential repairs that we were thinking about (toilet and faucet replacement) and he gave us great advice on brands and models to stay away from. He was very nice, very personable, cheerful, and clearly had lots of experience and took pride in his work. (All of Atlanta Plumbing Plus plumbers are master plumbers! No apprentices!) After lots of bad experiences with plumbers over the years (our bad luck), he was excellent to work with and we wholeheartedly recommended the company! We will be using them again! Excellent job!
Description of Work: Repaired large water leak in the main water line entering the house from the street (required "guessing" where the leak might be and then digging a 4 foot deep x 2 foot wide hole). Also, at our request, replaced the water shutoff value and water pressure guage in the house with upgraded parts.

Derrell was on time and efficient. But he really earned his money by being so knowledgeable and helping learn even more about my new home's plumbing system and gas lines, without trying to sell me anything. He even looked at the washer and dryer my husband had just set up to make sure it was ok at my request. Also he told me the names of specific parts I could buy myself to improve my plumbing's efficiency and safety.

He came out to look at all three units. He recommended replacing the furnace, air conditioner, and the water heater. He gave me an estimate of 1750 dollars to replace the water heater, 6672 to replace the air conditioner, and 3730 dollars to replace the furnace. I did not let him do the work because I thought it was too expensive. I had another company come out who gave me an estimate of 4000 dollars to replace the furnace and the air conditioner both. He also said I didn't need a new water heater like Fulton Plumbing said I did.

I called Atlanta Plumbing Plus for an estimate and they dispatched (within a day) a master plumber, Ken Johnson, to review the situation in my basement. After getting a couple of additional bids on the job, I decided to hire this company because their price was very competitive, the company seemed very easy to work with, and Ken seemed very friendly. About an hour after I faxed in my signed contract, I got a call from their office asking when I would like to have the work done. Scheduling the job was very easy. On my scheduled day, Ken the plumber arrived on time and got right to work. Upon setting the tub, we found that it was going to be necessary to remove some additional concrete in my floor because the drain was off by a few inches. This unplanned event was not a problem and was unforeseen because I did not have the actual tub on hand when the estimate was done. Ken brought in a jack hammer and handled the situation without complaint. From this point forward the installation went very smoothly. In the inspection process, my inspector requested that the ice maker water line have a hammer arrestor installed to subdue potential noise in the pipes. Upon calling the office, they had Ken back on site within one day, and the situation fixed in about an hour. Cheerfully. Atlanta Plumbing Plus was very easy to work with and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend them to my friends.
Description of Work: I hired this company to install the plumbing in my basement that I was finishing out. The job involved installation of a shower, a bathroom sink, toilet, kitchen sink and ice maker line. The builder had stubbed the sewer runs, but none of the water lines. I wanted to use a plumber because I had taken out a permit and was having inspections done on the work by the City.
