Chris had given us such great service a few days previously when our plumbing was blocked, that we specifically requested him to handle the installation of our new water heater. Although some Angie's List members have mentioned that this company's pricing is higher than they expected, we felt that the quality of the company's work justified their prices. In addition, they gave us a discount on their labor charges because we're Angie's List members.
Description of Work: Replaced our 50-gallon gas water heater. Added an expansion tank, and corrected the gas line and the vent connection in order to meet code requirements.

When i scrolled down and saw this box, i tried to copy the above to move it down, but Angies list doesn't respond, allowing casual user to cut and paste.
Description of Work: At 3pm, the water company read the meter and said we were using a gallon and a half of water per hour, or 113,000 gallons more than in December. Turned off water, and called for help.....was told a plumber would arrive that afternoon. Was told of plumber schedule and he called saying on the way, getting across Atlanta by 5pm. Stayed into the dark, until 8:30 pm digging out pipe leak just behind the meter, where the sprinkle system joined the house water line....digging thru a lot of tree roots. Communications, price, personalities and service A++ with not one suggestion for improvement. Good web site providing information on common issues. Thanks.

A small stream started trickling from my front yard to the street. I already knew it was my water line because other homes in the neighborhood had the same issue previously. I joined Angie's list and found Atlanta Plubing Plus. I called for assistance and Chris came out the next day. He made a quick assesment of what needed to be done and provided an estimate which already included the coupon discount before I even handed it to him. The most difficult part of the process was waiting for the county to mark underground lines that turned out not to exist in my yard, delaying the work by 2 days. Once the all clear was given, Chris came back out and performed the work. An excellent experience.
Description of Work: The water line from the meter to the house was made of blue polybutylene and decided to fail after 18 years. A new line with a better performance record was run from the water meter to my garage and routed to the existing plumbing.

I was very pleased with the work performed on each job listed above. Linda, the company owner, is very friendly and recognizes me by name....something you don't find happens often these days. This is definitely an A+ company, and will use them for all my future jobs.
Description of Work: After purchasing a new garbage disposal for the kitchen sink from Sears, I discovered they are not licensed to install them. Disappointed and desperate not to have to wait to get this installed, I checked Angie's List and selected Atlanta Plumbing Plus--calling them on 10.26.11. I gave them a call and asked to be put on the schedule; but if they had an opening at any time this day, to please call me. I wasn't holding my breath, but to my surprise, I was called and worked in that same day! Keith arrived prepared and not only installed the disposal but checked all the sink plumbing connections. He was friendly and professional. It cost $177.00 to install the disposal. On 11.17.11, I purchased a new Moen faucet from Faucet.com for the kitchen sink, and scheduled an installation date at Atlanta Plumbing Plus with Keith. I knew this would be a tough job because the space behind the deep sink was very tight 4-5 in., and you can barely fit two hands--much less tools. He worked very hard to install this faucet set, and it looked absolutely beautiful! I was charged $271.00 for installation; but he spent a great deal of time working on this...so I thought it was fair. When my newly installed faucet began leaking profusely, I called Atlanta Plumbing Plus and Keith came out on 01.24.12. Keith felt it was the cartridge and suggested I call Faucet.com and/or Moen as they have a lifetime warranty on their products. I received the cartridge from Moen within two days; and Keith came out and replace the cartridge on 01.27.12. I was charged $185.00 and now the faucet works perfectly again! Keith wasn't sure what caused the cartridge to go bad, but at least I know if it occurs again, it's likely a defective Moen faucet. I plan to seek APP's help when I replace all the original low flow toilets in our home. I always request Keith. I enjoy his personality.

I've used this company several times. I have two rental properties that are a bit older, so plumbing issues are normal. Their interaction with me and the tenants (I've asked that they coordinate scheduling directly with the tenants) has been very professional and courteous. Both jobs where performed promptly and at a reasonable price.
Description of Work: Two recent jobs performed: 1) eliminate noise from water line. Drained the line and replaced defective pressure relief tank from the water heater. 2) Replaced section of the sewer line to restore proper drainage in the house

My overall experience with Atlanta Plumbing Plus was AAA+. I would have appreciated it more if Ivan would have taken a minute to look at the dishwasher to see IF it was an actual plumbing issue that was preventing the water in the tub from draining out. Instead of telling me that NO PLUMBER could repair it because it was not a plumbing issue, it was something that the machine's manufacturer would have to service. Here's my story from start to finish.................... I emailed Atlanta Plumbing Plus on a Tuesday after 4pm, explaining that I had a leaking kitchen faucet and my dishwasher was not draining the water. Within 2 hours Bob from the company telephoned me saying that Ivan could come out on Wednesday morning to assess the problem. We had a faucet that was continuously dripping and the shut off valve under the sink was leaking. Ivan from Atlanta Plumbing Plus came out and resolved both issues within 1 hour. However, he was unable to service the dishwasher at all. During his assessment of the faucet, he initially thought we would have to purchase a brand new faucet set. He offered to sell and install one that he had in his van for $369. But after taking apart the handle, and discovering that the Cartridge was cracked, all that was needed was a replacement cartridge. Ivan did not have the exact part in his truck, and instead of paying $160+ to get the part and have it installed, my husband and I decided that we could live with the faucet dripping until we purchased a brand new faucet. However, after Ivan replaced all of the old faucets parts, we discovered that the drip had permanently stopped. Ivan assessed that the leak under the cabinet was caused by an old plastic valve cover. Once he replaced it with a metal part, and my faucet/under the sink problems were solved!!!............THE END

Our sewer line backed up 10 days after my wife and I moved in to our new house (we're 1st time homeowners)--the morning of my mother's first visit. We were stunned, of course. I called one other plumbing company that we were familiar with to come out, but they were unavailable until late in the afternoon. Our second call was to Atlanta Plumbing Plus, and Linda answered as I was leaving a message about our emergency (she couldn't hear the phone ring over the noise of the cleaning crew). Within 30 minutes, Ivan called me to say he was en route to our house. He arrived exactly 20 minutes later and began working. He spent hours snaking the line and uncovered multiple sections of tree roots that had infiltrated our sewer line. Ivan cleared out as much as possible to carry us through the weekend until he could come out and image the line with a camera to thoroughly investigate the problem. Ivan came out with a camera 3 days later, as scheduled, to get more information on the line to determine where the problem was and whether or not it could be repaired without replacing the entire line. Due to the multiple problem areas, the recommendation was that the entire line be replaced and that two caps be installed (one at the house, one at the easement). Estimated cost of the project was about $5,000 based on the information they had about our sewer line at that point (how deep they would have to dig). Two days later (weather delayed the digging), Ivan and Chris came out and began what turned out to be a very tricky project. About 75 feet from the house, they discovered that the sewer line dropped several feet vertically before connecting to the county line. Due to the safety issues and nature of the project, I believe this should have cost us more money, however the company remained true to their initial quote and completed the job in 1 day without a single glitch. Ivan and Chris were fantastic--they were punctual, efficient, work well together, clearly have the skills and competency to perform any plumbing task, and were beyond professional. They kept in constant communication with us throughout the entire process, they were respectful of our property and kind to our dogs (very important to us!). They even managed to make our yard look halfway decent after being completely dug up. When you are as naive as we were and spending as much money as we did, it is imperative that the end product be satisfactory. We could not be more pleased with the outcome. It is easy to let the cost of such a project overshadow the experience--I was not pleased when I first learned what the cost would be--however, we definitely wanted the job done properly. We will trust Linda, Ivan, Chris, and Bob at Atlanta Plumbing Plus with any future project that we encounter in our home (though we hope not to have to call them for a while!). Above all, we are pleased to have had such a positive experience with our first major home repair and are thrilled to have a plumbing company that we can trust on speed dial. We highly recommend Atlanta Plumbing Plus for projects large and small to any one!

Our problem was found when I went to the lower level (not basement) and found about 1/2 inch of water covering the floor and the downstairs toilet was overflowing. I turned the water supply to that toilet off but the water continued to flow. I started bailing this toilet out and had my wife check the upstairs toilets to find one of them running. As I was vacuuming and had my wife call for a plumber. The first one she contacted said they would be there the following morning at 8:30. I told my wife that this was unacceptable and to contact another plumber. She then contacted Atlanta Plumbing Plus who said they would be there between 2 and 4 PM. Chris from Atlanta Plumbing Plus call about around 12:30 PM and arrived at 1 PM. Chris investigated the problem and determined that the problem was between the house and the street. We had an external clean out that made the job a bit easier since he didn't have to pull the downstairs's toilet. Chris started the clean out process with a small machine which didn't find the clog. He then went back to his shop to pickup a larger machine and the camera. The larger machine didn't find or remove the clog. Chris then tried his last resort of high pressure water which forced the clog and everything is running fine now. Chris was very professional and explained the process every step of the way. This is a follow-up to Atlanta Plumbing Plus response: I apologize for the rating that I initially gave Atlanta Plumbing Plus. At first I thought the pricing was high since the last effort to clean the clog worked and could have been done in the beginning, but after thinking about the situation the progression that the mechanic performed was the correct way to go. That's why he's the professional and I'm the now better informed consumer. Sorry again for my mistake and I would definitely use this company again should the need arise.

We've used a couple of other plumbers in the past, but have not been exactly thrilled with their service. After spotting the leak and recognizing that due to the plastics, etc., I didn't feel exactly comfortable about doing it myself (visions of water spraying throughout my bathroom, etc.) we checked Angies List, and based on the reviews, contacted Atlanta Plumbing Plus. Before I go into more detail, let me just say that when everything was said and done, I told my spouse that this had been likely the best experience I've had with a plumber. Ever. I called and explained my problem to the rather pleasant woman who answered the phone. She explained that they were busy that day, but that it appeared that they could have someone out later in the afternoon. Perfect. Then she asked that if they were able to free someone up earlier in the day, would it be okay with me if someone could come out sooner. Shocking, I know. Yes, of course that would be okay. Then, the final kicker, the woman told me her name was Linda, and that she was the owner of the company. The initial call was amazing, but I've had good calls with ultimately bad service before. However, ten minutes later the phone rang. It was Linda, who told me that they had a plumber nearby who had finished their job ahead of schedule and could be there in 15 minutes or so. Superior logistics, that. The technician was great, professional, nice, thorough and clean. He spent time discussing the issue with me, seemed apologetic that he would have to add additional cost for replacing the cold-water side at my request. Granted it was a small job, but he was quick and efficient, then did an exam of our overall plumbing (including go down to the crawlspace and fighting spiderwebs!). From initial phone call to signing the invoice, one hour and thirty minutes. Fantastic!!!!
Description of Work: We woke up in the morning to find that the plastic hot-water angle stop below our bathroom sink was leaking. The leaking hot-water angle stop and connector were replaced with a brass stop. The cold-water side was replaced with brass, as well, in order to prevent the eventual deterioration of the plastic one in place.

I had to have the main water line shut off valve into my house replaced. I called about 9am and was given a 2 hour window between 2 and 4pm. Chris called within 20 minutes into the time frame and stated that he would be there soon. He arrived about 10 minutes later. He came in and looked at the valve and tried to tighten the nut around the valve to see if it would stop leaking and that take care of the problem, unfortunately it didnt. I requested that he go ahead and change out the valve. He gave me the price to change it out and started work on it. He completed the work quick and efficiently. I will definitely use this company again.

I had the leak problem and then over the summer the water bill is triple in my area. This was really something that had to be addressed and I needed a plumber. The ones that I had known had advertised, but I didn't really want to use. I didn’t have anybody to refer me. I needed a good plumber and somebody that would be reliable and capable so I got on Angie's List. I looked them up and looked for some reviews. Everybody had given them a pretty good rating. I called them and they were very professional. A lady answered the phone, took my information and she told me the name of the guy who was going to come right then. She told me what time he was going to be here and they pretty much did everything. He was on time. He was professional. Even through it seemed like my part was a little obscured, he had it. It took about an hour and a half. He just got right to work. He was very neat and courteous. It was a good experience. I haven't had any issues with the bathtub since. It works like a charm. I wanted him to do some more work, but I couldn't afford it to get it done right then. He also gave me an estimate on something else that I was checking on. It was a little more than a washer, it was a little part that went in there that had worn-out and it was just leaking worse and worse and I couldn't turn it off all the way. I would use them again in the future.

This service went well. Atlanta Plumbing Plus sent a man out right away for a leaking water-heater drain valve. It was a simple repair, but was worth the charge to have an expert examine the water heater and discuss potential replacement in the future. The tank itself was 1 month over warranty. I appreciated the company's willingness to work with me on a Friday afternoon. Everyone was friendly and professional. It is great not to have to worry while the water drips away and ruins things. I also appreciated the senior discount. Every little bit helps. Thanks APP.

I had previous bad experiences with various plumbers over the years. I found Atlanta Plumbing Plus based on positive reviews on Angie's list and decided to give them a try. As it turned out, I used them for service on 12/2/11 to install a water shut off valve in the attic, as I had leaky saddle valves going to my heater/humidifier. Chris the technician was punctual, extremely professional and explained what he was going to do and importantly answered all my questions. He also turned up the pressure to my house at no charge. Although it wasn't a big job, the price was very reasonable and I felt a great degree of comfort in the way he explained things and answered my questions. Two days later, I had a problem that occurred unrelated to this first visit. A shut off valve that I had installed about a year earlier from another plumber (who also set the water pressure to my house too low and would not come back out to readjust) blew off the pipe flooding my utility room. Luckily I was home. It was a Saturday and Atlanta Plumbing Plus got hold of Chris who came out to my house again. He again diagnosed what happened and explained what the previous plumber did was generally accepted, but not how he would have installed the shut off as well as he would had used actual copper pipes coming out of my water heater, etc. Chris fixed the issue and answered all my questions as I wanted to ensure i learned for future reference and also I did not want this happening again. I have another upcoming project to fix a faulty shower drain when I remodel and tile my shower next month and for sure will give Atlanta Plumbing Plus a call. Separately, I spoke to Linda the owner about 2 weeks ago to ask about some general maintenance questions so i don;t have reduce the risk of accidental sink lines bursting. I let her know I was planning on doing this myself and she had no issue and was happy to speak to me. This was similar to my experience with Chris for general maintenance of DIY jobs that i could do. In the past other plumbers I experienced would hold back information to try to get the job themselves or not explain in such a detailed manner. Bottom line- I highly recommend Atlanta Plumbing Plus, they have integrity, honesty, great service, high quality of work and reasonable prices.
