It was great. They're reasonably priced. The salesman was polite and wonderful. The crew came right on time and installed it in a timely manner. They did a great job. They answered all my questions. They told me the truth.

I am amazed at the dedication and determination of the employees to get the job done! and to make sure we were satisfied with end result. There was a hiccup in the schedule on the first day they were supposed to be there but they made good on their promises and they completed on schedule. Everyone was so nice and professional. I love my new floors & carpeting! ....they got rid of almost all of our old floor squeaks!! It's so quiet now when we walk around!

I had Excel Carpet install new carpet in the upstairs rooms and the staircase in my house. They were excellent, did really good work. We was out of the country when they installed the carpet. The sales person was fabulous with all that he did for us.

I've used Excel to replace carpet in 3 rental properties. Each time the quote, sales and installation process has been smooth. Can't speak to the long term quality of the bargain priced carpet used in the properties because they've all been done in the last year, but so far so good and they all look good. The installation teams have been on time and professional. They pick up the old carpet and padding, put down the new and go on their way. Only negative I've noticed is the strips used to hold the carpet in place sticking up through the carpet. I'm sure that won't be a pleasant feeling for the person who steps on it. Just writing that here will prompt me to call Excel and find out if that's meant to be or not. All in all - Dave and his team at Excel are the first I call for carpet services. If your looking for quotes, do let Excel be one of your providers.

They were good. It was a decent deal in comparison to the other estimates that we got. They did a really good job on the install. We did just have one minor issue with their website. They were definitely on time.

My tenant is very pleased. Best part was that they said they would be there at 9 AM and arrived on time. This is so hard to find in other businesses nowadays. I chose excel because of their excellent ratings and I totally agree. Everyone was nice, professional, and honest.

Dave Brooks came out to see us, really nice guy, very knowledgeable, not pushy or a "salesperson". We chose the carpet with Dave's help and the vinyl and set a time for the install. Installers were late and not very friendly. One of them never said one word which was odd. Mix up at the office meant that the installers did not know about the vinyl and had to come back the next day to install it. Again installers was very late and seemed very agitated about the whole thing. But they did a wonderful job, knocked the job out quickly, so I guess it is better for them to do good work than have sparkling personalities! Everything looks so good, we could not be happier.

After bad experiences with the two big-box stores, I checked Angie's list and found Excel. Faye was wonderful to work with and in less than 1 hour I had chosen carpet for a large room and ceramic tile for a bathroom. The carpet cost a little more than at Home Depot or Lowe's but the quality upgrade was worth it. Faye ordered the materials and scheduled the work and it was completed in exactly one week from the day I walked in. The entire team at Excel is very pleasant to work with. Only problem was that I asked for the tile installer to show up at 9:00am and he was earlier, which put a strain on my elderly mom. Otherwise things went very efficiently. Lesson learned -- shop with locally owned merchants.

I was very pleased with Excel Carpet from the moment Josh arrived at my home to provide me with an estimate until the job was completed (and earlier than I expected). Josh and the installers were courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future!

We finally had the BBB step in to arbitrate. We were not asking for a settlement in the full amount but after they saw the condition of the carpet and heard what the excel rep had to say; we were awarded a full refund. The carpet is cheap and poorly installed. Every threshold frayed and exposed nails. Excel kept refusing to address the problem. Luckily we were persistent and the BBB arbitrators could clearly see there was a serious issue. I do not recommend using excel carpet. They do not take responsibility for shoddy work or defective products. It is easier for them to blame (or at least try to blame) their customers. If you get lucky and everything goes great you will be happy. I believe companies have a golden opportunity to show how good they are in a crisis. Excel carpet failed miserably.

We contacted 3 different capet sales/installtion companies, including Excel over a period of a week and a half. We scheduled in-home appointment with each company. Dave Brooks, with Excel came to our home in the evening and at our convenience and showed us numerous carpet samples. Inasmuch as we had a firm idea of what we wanted in style and color the process went smoothly. The next day Dave provided us with proposals on 2 different price points and answered our questions on each. We made our selection and Dave scheduled installation at a time and date that was ideal for us. Candidly the other 2 companies left a lot to be desired. One of companies salesman was ill-prepared and appeared to have little knowledge of his product or prices. The other companies salesman was in such a hurry that we immediately dismissed them from consideration.

The process went very well for us. They arrived on time for our meeting, took measurements and brought enough carpet for us to sample to make a choice. Prices were reasonable, and they again arrived on time to install the carpet. Installation went well, carpet looks and feels great and they cleaned up nicely after installation was completed. I will be using this Excel again for anything I need in the future and would recommend them to family and friends.

I went in person to the store showroom and got a rough estimate for the work, based on what I was looking for for carpet and the amount of square footage I would need. The lady manager I dealt with was very professional and personable. We arranged for a time and date for her to come to the house to measure, and that was done in a timely manner. I then waited for an install time to be scheduled. My only problem was that I had to call the lady manager back a couple of times to get the project moving, as I had a deadline as to when I wanted the installation completed. After a couple of calls, the installation was scheduled. The two workers moved the large furniture out, then moved it back in after completion. They also removed the old floor moldings and then installed new floor moldings, as part of the service. The workers were very polite, professional, and quick. I was very pleased with the installation. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and the experience. I would definitely recommend this company for a quick and economical carpet replacement option.

Very knowledgeable and professional. I bet their service is top notch. However the price steered me away because I was on a budget. But you can't go wrong with these guys if you have the money.

I am very happy with the quality of the carpet installed. Josh brought the type of samples I asked to see to my home. I chose 2 that I liked and he left them with me so I could have a few days with the colors and texture. They installed on the date I requested (which was a week later). The installers where very professional. They arrived at 9:30 and left by 3:30. They left my home in great shape. The price was competitive. I got an additional 5% discount for paying cash. Also they gave me a padding upgrade for being an Angie List Refferral. The carpet is beautiful and I am extremely happy. One thing more: You need to be very clear on the type of carpet you want to see. All the sales reps that came to my house only brought a few samples at a time. If you want to see alot of choices, tell them when you make the appointment. The only negative thing I have to say is that Josh did not follow up the next day after the initial meeting we had with more samples as he promised. I was pressed for time and had to make a decision. I highly reccommend Josh & Excel Carpet. I love how my home looks and feels!!!

I appreciate Excel coming out to my house for a smaller project. Customer service was friendly and responsive. They installed exactly what I was looking for and did not try to sell me more than I needed. I will definitely use them again for bigger projects.

They showed up on time and did a great job for a good price. Everyone was very professional. I would highly recommend.

My salesperson, Dave, arrived on time and always returned my calls promptly. I decided to go into the showroom and Dave met me there on a Saturday. I obtained a total of 4 bids and Excel had the best price for similar product. Also, i asked for a lifetime installation warranty and received it in writing. The installation crew was led by Cesar and they were excellent. They accidentially cut a piece of carpet on the stairs but showed me the error and said they would come back to correct it (which they did promptly). Only comment for improvement is that installation crew could have cleaned up a little better. I also decided that i wanted a rug to go under two recliners to protect the floor . When i was in the showroom, Dave suggested that they could make a rug from leftover carpet. We went into the back and found a piece that was perfect . They made the rug (9' X 6') and only charged me the cost of the material! I could not be happier with the service, installation and carpet.

Josh came to our house twice to help us pick out the carpet and hardwood. He was very helpful. The price was competitive with the other bids we received. The installation for both was done quickly and professionally. The hardwood matched the existing hardwood in our hallway. We were impressed with the work done and will definitely consider Excel Carpet when we replace the tile in our shower.

It went extremely well. We were very pleased with the result and delighted to find someone to take on a relatively small job. The final charge ended up being what they said the minimum charge would be. They worked quickly but thoroughly from 5:30pm - 7:15pm and even vaccumed the carpet afterwards. The price was very reasonable for the time they spent.

Very prompt responsiveness when I was emailing for bids. Prices were competitive with 3 other quotes I had collected. Had good advice as to the type of carpet to put in this house earmarked to rent out. We were set to install on a certain date. They communicated well, in that they called the day before to say that they would be there a little later than originally planned (noon instead of morning), but that they were still committed to finish that day because it affected some other preparations we had scheduled to have the house shown as a new rental property. They followed through with this commitment and completed the task well and on time. We are very happy with the job. Good investment and good contractor choice.

We had a hall of carpet where it needed to be restreched. They did that and it looked great. We also had a pull in the carpet in another room and they repaired it so well I couldn't find it when they were done. It's almost been 3 months since they did the work and it all looks wonderful.

We love them. They did a great job. They were able to accommodate us very quickly. Their quote was less than what it cost, which is so unusual. We would rate them highly. If we need to add or replace carpet I think we would probably use them.

Several other companies had problems leaving samples for my wife and I to make a decision while Excel were more than happy to leave them, drop them off and pick them up. They also didn't talk down about their competitors. They had a competitive price. The installers were very nice and cordial.
