Enjoyed working with this company. Josh came out for the measure. He was very personable and was able to give me some great ideas for things that I was having a hard time figuring out. He has great design suggestions. He was very prompt with the quote and the prices were competitive with the other 3 quotes I received. I went to the showroom to actually choose the carpets, and Dave spent a lot of time with me & let me take home more samples. There was always someone in the office that was able to answer my questions or get answers for me. The install crew was organized and thorough. They knew what they were doing and were very patient with my desire to have the rug placed perfectly (it was a very big rug). Everyone had their role & the install went very quickly. I was pleased all around. I will be using them again as soon as my bedroom renovation is completed and I am ready for the other rug.

Marcos and his team did an outstanding job and were very fast too. The carpet upstairs looks brand new and all of the furniture was placed back perfectly. Thank you to everyone at Excel. They will be the first place I call for my flooring needs.

It went very well. They just take the carpet and stretch it so it does not have wrinkles in it. I would give them an A, they deserve it. The prices was a little higher than I hoped but it was okay. It was good quality. They are very responsive. I would use them again.

Bought an upgraded carpet for less than the other 2 companies quoted me for a much cheaper grade carpet. Installation was professional and they cleaned up well during and after installation. I would use them again. We are enjoying the new carpet!

This was a challenging install as modifications needed to be made to our older home in order to install this flooring. I cannot praise this company and its install team highly enough. They made sure the final product was one we could truly be proud of. We will definitely use them again. Highly recommend this company.

It was a smooth process start to finish, even with our crunched timeline. The finished product looked excellent and there was minimal retouching required on the woodwork where they placed the power stretcher. My wife and I also noticed zero scuff marks on the walls. It was apparent the folks doing the work were careful in handling the removal of the old carpet and installation of the new carpet.

We stopped by Excel where Michelle listened to our needs and gave us help in selecting good quality products and gave input on design choices. After selecting a laminate floor and a carpet rated for stair usage, she promptly scheduled a measurement and provided a reasonable quote. She offered us an installation date within a week, although we requested more time to clean out the office for the install. A 4 man crew headed by Orlando showed up as scheduled to install the laminate floor. I was impressed with their competence and how efficiently they worked together. They used their expertise to work through a couple of minor problems. They were also able to lay the carpeting which was originally scheduled for the following day. Their work appears excellent and their clean-up was good. They were all professional and polite. I would not hesitate to use Excel in the future.

The removal of the old carpet and installation of the new carpet was very simple. The installers were friendly and completed the job promptly. We had four rooms, four closets (including 2 walk in) and one long hall way re-carpeted. They left no marks on the walls. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the carpet. My only disappointment is where they choose to have one of the seams in the hallway. This could be avoided by speaking with the installers upfront.

Looked around Angie's List for flooring company and after meeting three at house, decided on Excel Carpets in part due to their excellent showroom and friendly assistance from Michelle. Was given itemized estimates up front for multi-part install services. Was told it would take 2 days and it ended up taking 3, but the owner Josh was very communicative about the reason for more time and my job required 3 different crews. While removing sink and toilet from half bath, discovered I needed new valves in the bathroom. I mentioned we were about to replace the toilet and Josh offered to go ahead and pick up and install a new toilet for me as well, so saved me an extra trip. I had a few items at the end and Josh made sure that all of my final clean-up items were taken care of. Felt the crews went above and beyond, were professional to deal with and cleaned up wonderfully. Would highly recommend.

To begin, I started looking for flooring companies on Angie?s list and made a few calls. One of which was to Excel Carpet & Floors. Starting with my phone call, Josh was exceptional from beginning to end. Josh was knowledgeable and was in no rush to get off the phone. He took the time to talk about the fundamentals of carpet as a whole to ensure I was able to make an informed decision, which I valued. The information Josh provided allowed me to have intelligent conversations with other carpet companies in advance of my choosing Excel to install my carpet. Josh came to my home with samples of carpet and carpet pads so we could compare them to the samples we had from Home Depot and Lowes. Josh provided an all in price (carpet, carpet pad, moving of the furniture, removing the previous carpet and pad, installation and disposal of old carpet) which I found refreshing. There was no interest in nickel-and-diming me, and from what I can tell, there are no hidden charges anywhere. He was transparent and up front with his pricing. He gave me a fair price (roughly $6,000) for nearly 1900 sq ft installed. After deciding to go with Excel, Josh scheduled the install for the next day The next morning (I know that is fast, and I?m not sure if that is the norm), there was a 3 man crew at my front door with the rolls of carpet and pad. The crew leader asked me to come out to the van to ensure it was the correct carpet and pad before they started anything. After I confirmed it was in fact the correct carpet, he asked me to walk him through the house and show him all the carpet I wanted replaced. After I showed him the rooms, he and the two other men on his crew went to work. Within 30 minutes, there was no carpet or pad left in my home, and the men began prepping the sub-floor for the new pad. They worked extremely hard from the time they got here until the time they left. Within 12 hours they had completed the installation (less than 30 hours from quote to completion of my 1,900 sq ft install is exceptional to say the least). There was one spot I questioned (doorway from a room into the closet where it seemed slightly loose), and they had it fixed within 5 minutes. I cannot say enough about the installation crew and their great work ethic. Before they left they swept the wood floors and bathrooms to gather stray fibers that blew around during their install, and vacuumed all the caret they installed so I was left with a clean house. The carpet is everything we wanted and more. I have no complaints about quality, professionalism or execution of Excel Carpet & Flooring, Josh and their installation crew. I will use them again and I would refer anyone to them in a heartbeat. After inspecting their work, the carpet seams are glued very well, the edges are tight, the stairs look great, and there are no ripples from what I can see. Only time will tell if this carpet and installation will hold up well, and at this time, I have no reason to think it will not. If you do not call Excel, you are doing you and your home a disservice.

When we closed on our new home (new to us) we were informed after closing by the previous owner that the carpet was actually ruined by her daughter spilling a gallon of orange paint in one of the bedrooms 7 years previously. We had not planned on replacing the carpet orginally. I called Excel Carpet at noon on Monday, they sent Heather out to house at 11:00 on Tuesday and had carpet installed on Wedesday. Heather was fantastic. She understood my sense of urgency and the need to get it done before the wood floor guys started work and the furniture was delivered. She called the install crews and found one that was willing to work late and get it done the next day. The installation was done well, the carpet looks great and I can't compliment the team at Excel Carpet enough. I will use them again and I would recommend them to anyone.

Excel Carpet was one of 3 quotes we got for carpeting our home. We chose Excel because of product, cost, and our interaction with the store. Our initial sales man was okay. He arrived on time, and was able to show most of his product. He also took measurements on the spot. Unfortunately he was missing some of his samples. After the initial visit we contacted the store directly and they answered several of our outstanding questions. The installation was scheduled and the team arrived on time and went right to work. The installation took about a day, and they were several yards short of being able to complete the job. There was additional confusion about getting the rest of the carpet installed, but they were back after a couple of days and completed the job. Overall the quality of the product is very good, the people have been good to work with and the cost was good. However after a month I am noticing some seams beginning to appear and will probably call them back to check it out.

I called Heather at 5:30 in the afternoon. She took my call and gave me all of the information that I needed. I came in and picked out the carpet and it was installed within 5 days. They did a great job installing it too. I am very happy with the service, Heather was awesome to work with. The quality of the carpet and installation is excellent and the price was very reasonable. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Excel Carpet and Chip were very friendly and professional right from the start! Chip listened to our needs and concerns and promised to deliver in the timeline we requested. The date promised was exactly the date the carpet was installed. Needless to say, we were happy! The installers went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate us. They also were very professional and did fast work - maintaining a high quality. We are completely satisfied with the whole process and are now enjoying our new carpet.

Amazing! The whole process was effortless, the quality of the carpet exceeded anything else we saw, and the price was competitive. I would recommend without hesitation!

We hired Excel to replace old carpeting in a home we recently moved in to and the whole experience was fabulous from our first meeting with Chip who went over the different flooring options with us to the teams that put the flooring in. The first team consisted of Rich, Andy and their crew who did a fantastic job laying the laminate flooring. They were very friendly and considerate and careful with our furniture, which there was a lot of. They never complained though and worked very hard making sure everything was perfect and to our liking. There were two men who came the following week to do our carpeting on the stairs and in the closets. I can't remember their names or I would list them here, but they also did exceptional work and were very respectful and hard working. Both crews were on time and professional. Chip followed up with us to see how we liked our flooring, which meant a lot to us that he cared about how the job turned out. The floors are beautiful and we are more than pleased with the results. We would definitely work with this company in the future and will be recommending them to others.

On short notice ( and in the evening,) Josh Lynch from Excel Flooring came to my home to evaluate a frivolous claim made by a home warranty fridge repairman who claimed that the problem with my fridge was uneven flooring behind the appliance. Josh was friendly, respectful and professional, and handled the difficult job of removing our large Subzero refrigerator from its built in space (something that should have been done by the fridge guy in the first place,) and crawling around our tiny crawlspace in order to find the water supply for the unit. When we finally got the fridge moved, it turned out that the flooring was fine underneath. Josh provided an evaluation for us to submit to the home warranty company and did not charge us for his lengthy visit, which I did not expect and much appreciated. I would feel very comfortable working with this company in the future for flooring needs and felt they were honest and up front with us.

The person who showed up for the appt. was unprepared and unprofessional. He said he left his samples (the ones he really wanted to show us) in another vehicle. We asked for a business card and he said they were also in another vehicle. Upon receiving the quote via email my husband replied with a question, which the reply skirted the question altogether. On 11/22/14, I then sent a reply asking the same question, but being very specific and I asked for his phone number because my husband wanted to speak with him and to this date 12/5/14, we have not received a reply.

Great. Price was reasonable compared to other competitors and the two individuals who showed up to so the work were kind and professional. They completed the job quickly and things look great.

Excel did an excellent job replacing our 14 year old original builder quality carpet and pad with an 8lb pad and high quality carpet. The best part, the price was excellent considering the quality of carpet and quality of installation. The salesman came out and was on time, and took the time to show us some samples, measure upstairs and gave us a fair quote. Within a week we had new carpet upstairs and couldn't be happier. Thanks!

Excel Carpet has been a DREAM to work with! I have been utilizing their services for more than 5 years and they are always professional, timely and reliable. Crew was very professional and completed the job in a timely manner. They installed gold-toned thresholds, so we called to have them replaced for silver, and they promptly sent out someone to correct the situation within 48 hours. Very pleased with Josh and the company he represents.
