Installers -- Caesar for carpet and Rich for hardwood were outstanding. Josh fantastic in sales, writing up bid. Would highly recommend Excel Carpets.

I had three companies bid on installing carpet in my master bedroom and ceramic tile in my master bathroom. Excel Carpet submitted the lowest bid and the company's ratings on Angie's List were excellent, so I decided to go with Excel. The salesman, Josh Lynch, was my contact with Excel. Josh seamed like a very nice person with an excellent attitude, until I told Excel as soon that as Josh finalized the carpet and color selection, I wanted Excel to preform the work. Josh initially took a sample of my old carpet that we were trying to match and when I asked how long it would take to get the carpet, he told me one are two days, because they were located in the heart of the carpet manufactures. It took Josh three trips to my house over a period of about three weeks before both Josh and I were satisfied with the carpet selection. I called Excel and expressed my concern about how long it was taking to finalize the carpet selection and I was told that Josh was a perfectionist and he just wanted to make sure the new carpet matched the old carpet. I actually thought that it was taking so long because maybe Josh had made a mistake with his estimate and they discovered they could not preform the work that cheap. Well the carpet selection was eventually finalized and installed, but I was told by Excel that they were having a problem finding a ceramic tile contractor to install the tile in my master bath and the carpet and tile could not be installed at the same time. There was another weeks delay while Excel was looked for a contractor to install the bath ceramic tile. When the ceramic tile installers arrived and started the bath tile installation, I noticed the tiles were not the pattern I had told Josh I wanted. I called Excel and asked them to have Josh call me back about the ceramic tile pattern. I was told that Josh was with a new customer and he would not be able to call me. So making a sale to a new customer was more important to Josh than taking care of an existing customer. Josh never called me back. It was a week, later on a Sunday, before the bath ceramic tile installer could return. It took Josh and Excel over one month to complete the installation after I notified them that I wanted to accept their proposal.

Service was great. Job was completed in a timely fasion and cost was great.

It went very well. I was very pleased. I think the service of selling the carpet was really good, the installation, they showed up on time. They did it quick. Everything looked really good. They vacuumed. Although, one complaint I would have is that they probably could have brought in a better a vacuum and vacuumed and vacuumed a little bit more in detail around the edges with the strands and the insulation but everything else was perfect.

Josh and his team were phenomenal. From the in-home visit to preview samples and get the quote through the installation. The installation team was very professional and did a great job.

After my initial review, the owner of the company, Josh Lunch, contacted me and apologized for the service that I received. We had a very good discussion and I decided to continue with Excel Carpet. I'm glad that I made that decision. It has been a pleasure working withJosh and his staff. Josh took time to go over carpet samples with me. He offered to come back to my house to show them to me, but I requested to go to the showroom instead. I could see larger carpet samples at the showroom. After the initial selections of carpet, vinyl and hardwood flooring, I was further assisted by a wonderful person named Cameron. She, too, is very knowledgeable, professional and a joy to work with. Today is installation day. The installers came on time and have been very professional. I can't wait to see the finished product. But, thus far, the carpet looks great and the feel to my bare feet....is just wonderful! Like walking on a cloud. It's a big job, but they expect to finish today. As I walk around, I see no dirt, trash, debris.....they've put back furniture in the finished rooms...and are consistently working. Short break for lunch....then back to work. I'm very, very happy. :-)

Josh and his team at Excel Carpet are simply outstanding. We had Excel redo our basement's carpet over three years ago and were extremely impressed with the quality, professionalism, and price. So, when we needed to replace carpet in the rest of the house, Excel was the only choice for us. We visited the showroom and Cameron was very helpful showing us various samples of carpet along the lines of what we were looking for. Josh came to the house, measured the rooms, and prepared the estimate. What I find to be refreshing is the notion of not trying to upsell or push products, that's simply not the way that Excel does business. They listen to you and cater to what you're looking for, rather than pushing what is more expensive, which is all too common of business strategy for others. The installation was quick as the crew was professional and even arrived early! I would without question recommend Excel to anyone needing new flooring.

Excel is very customer-oriented in their approach, but they need to work on their communications and scheduling details. That being said, I would use them again in a heartbeat. Their prices are very reasonable and they carry all the major brands of flooring products. We compared their prices to other flooring dealers in our area and Excel was clearly the winner. They are knowledgeable (esp Josh) and did not try to up-sell. We needed to have both the hardwoods and carpet installed by a specific date and they went out of their way to be on time with the hardwood installation but missed the target date for the carpet installation. The explanation they gave me, after I called to complain and after they investigated what went wrong, was that their delivery service failed to pick up the carpet as scheduled. I understand that things go wrong from time to time, but the aggravating part was that they didn't even realize that there was an issue until I called to find out what happened. If they had been on top of things, they could have corrected the problem in time to meet our timeline. They ended up scrambling (much appreciated) to schedule a new installation date for the basement a few days after the original date. They also made good on our request to compensate us for time lost as a result of having to stay home for a second installation. Their installers did an excellent job. They were experienced, efficient, clean and courteous. The hardwoods and carpet both look great. We will be needing more carpet and plan to return to Excel.

Scheduling the initial appointment went fine. On the day of the appointment I learned they may have to reschedule. Fortunately, they were able to keep the appointment. The final work was excellent.

They were great, would definitely use these guys again! Had an additional challenge as the project was for an Atlanta rental property that is 200 miles away from my home, in South Carolina - so it was critical that they met me on time for the estimate and the work itself, as I was traveling to be there. They were not only on time for their estimate, and maybe more importantly the least expensive, but the quality of their work in the end was terrific. Great work!

We bought our house last summer and had nice hardwood in the foyer but really bad miss matched laminate in the rooms surrounding it. We have always hated it. Dave, from Excell came to our house and measured everything and listened to what our needs were and helped us pick out the perfect carpet. He called the warehouse to see if it was in stock and scheduled our instillation for the next Tues. It was going to cost us $800 for them to remove the old laminate, transition pieces and 1/4 round so we did that ourselves and they agreed to haul it away for us. That worked out great because it gave us the opportunity to sand and paint the baseboards before the carpet went in. The instillation went smoothly. They were punctual and professional. The house looks amazing. It gives it a very polished look and is so nice to walk on. I will absolutely use them again when we want to recarpet the upstairs.

I needed about 450 square feet of carpet stretched after it had gained a few wrinkles and bubbles due to my dog running up around the house at full speed. Their minimum job just happened to be 450 sq feet so that worked out perfectly. They were able to schedule me on about 3 days notice and came out on time even after repeatedly telling me that is was likely they would be running late since I was the last job of the day for their crew. Marco and his co-worker worked fast and had the whole job done in about an hour from the time they showed up. Marco even adjusted the bull-nose up against a tile transition to my liking. The crew didn't have the ability to take credit card payment and the office was closed by the time they were finished. Marco just told me to call in the next day and pay over the phone. Being the forgetful person that I am, I didn't call in until two days later to pay but I was never called or hassled for payment during that time. They charged exactly what they said they would over the phone when I initially talked to them and overall I am very happy with the whole process. Thanks Excel!

Highly recommend. We had a simple carpet runner job but they were willing to accommodate whatever our needs were and recommend a quality carpet that wouldn't break the bank. Both the sales and install teams were professional and courteous.

Originally I had gone to the big box stores to view the inventory and receive quotes. They nickel and dimed me on every single item from charging a fee to come out and measure to hundreds of dollars extra to install carpeting on the stairs. I was very disappointed and began to search Angie's list. From the time I met with Dave Brooks in my home through the installation I knew I had chosen the right company. Dave is knowledgable, professional and took the time to explain the difference in the carpet samples. We also had an interesting conversation about Persian and Oriental rugs. I had delayed my decision and when I went to their store to make a deposit the carpet had been sold out. The good news was the owner upgraded the carpet at no extra charge. Great customer service! The installers arrived ahead of schedule and began working immediately. I had moved everything but heavy furntiure and it only took them a short time before the began pulling up the old carpet. The instalers were amazing and I was so impressed with how hard they worked! Most of all they were pleasant and respectful of my possession. No bad attitudes here. I give Excel carpet an A++ and suggest you give them a call!

Josh was very friendly and helpful when he came to my house to measure. We ended up only having one small square piece left so, he ordered the right amount . He ended up matching a 10% off coupon that a competitor offered which I was very happy about. The guys who did the work did an excellent job. All furniture was back in it's place and there were no seams or issues w/ how the carpeting was installed. We have actually just moved and are working w/ Excell again to put new carpet in our new house!

They arrived and went to it. They moved all remaining furniture out of the way and removed the old carpet and pad very quickly. They installed the pad and carpet as the salesman and I had discussed. After having it all down, the felt the padding was not right in one area and pulled it back up to recut padding. I was inpressed they wanted to do it right vs. wrap up and go on. During the cutting of the new carpet outside, the installers were a bit distracted by tree work taking place at a neighbors home. It caused me some stress, as I had family coming in that night. Fortunately, they were delayed in traffic and I was able to get most of the common living space back in order, so no harm, no foul. I would recommend Excel. From selection to sales to install, they were much more professional that the crew who originally installed my carpet 13 years ago. My seams are not visible and the carpet looks great. Neighbors have excessively commented favorably about the quality and color choice.

The sales representative was responsive and knowledgeable. He was on time for measuring and gave us good suggestions on how to finish the edges of the carpet we selected on the steps (binding instead of turning under). He was quick with providing the quote, as well. Their price was actually higher than the other place we had in to give an estimate, but this sales rep was more knowledgeable, so we went with Excel. It took about a week once we confirmed we wanted to use them for the work, but that was partially due to my schedule - probably could've happened quicker if not for my availability. The installers were on time. They were polite and did their job. This is the first time I've had carpet installed and I've heard there can sometimes be a little damage to the walls or baseboard, but we haven't noticed much, so I think they were careful. It looks good. The one thing I am disappointed in is the job they did on fixing the squeaks. We had a lot of squeaks and were going to pull up the old carpet in those areas and screw down the sub-floor ourselves, but the rep said the installers would take care of it - that 30 minutes of that service came with the installation. So, we marked the areas and left it for them. And they did take care of a lot of it. But, there are still some areas that squeak and I'm disappointed in that.

They did a very nice job. Only one rug ended up having a problem (it was incorrectly cut), but Excel replaced the rug within just a few days of our call. We would happily use them again!

Found them on the internet, went to their office on Roswell Rd, met with Dave. He gave us a lot of economical options then came to our home for measurement and price quote. Dave was friendly and knowledgeable, not at all pushy. Excel's price was quite reasonable and their service was on the ball. Installation went well, mostly done in one day except for one problem that arose on our part after we got their initial quote. Installer came back a couple days later at our convenience and finished the job at no additional charge to us. The rooms look great and we are very pleased with the final product. I found Dave to be honest, trustworthy and very customer oriented. He earned our business.

They were great, punctual. They were not the cheapest, but they did meet the cheapest quote, so they were able to price less. They were very nice, very professional, on time and they cleaned up well.
