The job was a little tricky and the installer had to spend extra time carving extra deadbolt holes into the piece but it all worked out fine. A little more than I hoped to spend but it's not something I could have done myself.

The locksmith was friendly, thorough, professional and described his work in detail.

Excellent service. The locksmith arrived shortly after the scheduled arrival time. The company telephoned to inform me that that there was a weather and traffic delay. He was friendly and professional. He showed me what he was doing and explained each procedure. He did not try to oversell his services. I highly recommend this company, and would use them again in a heartbeat.

I received a phone call in the a.m. telling me when the locksmith would arrive. He was on time, very pleasant and helpful. He worked efficiently and cleaned up when he was finished. I would certainly use this company again.

I contacted them regarding a sticky lock. They suggested that I try WD-40 or some sort of lubricating product to see if that corrected the problem prior to them coming out for a service call. The WD-40 worked and I cancelled my appointment. They were very friendly and helpful.

All I can say is that they were absolutely wonderful! Punctual, informative, clean, polite, friendly. No wonder they have been in business so long.

I would highly recommend Down's, especially for locks for older doors. At first they told me they were booked solid, but then they managed to squeeze me in. (In the meantime, I contacted another locksmith, who couldn't fix the lock because it was an older door and recommended I call Down's.) The Down's locksmith was punctual and polite. He finished up the work in 15 minutes. I thought the price was a little hefty ($125), but it was worth it to get into my basement.

The service technician who did the work was competent & very nice. My only recommendation would be that, when he asks how many keys you want, he tell you that they cost $2.50 each; I assumed they were included in the price. The 10% Angie's List discount was much appreciated.

IT WAS FINE. I GAVE THEM ALL A'S ON ALL THE VARIOUS CATEGORIES. THEY WERE A GOOD COMPANY. THE PEOPLE THAT SHOWED UP WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. HE CHANGED THE LOCK, HANDED OVER THE NEW KEYS AND WAS GONE IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES.

Made one mistake but it turned out to be my fault. I was satisfied.

Overall, quite a good experience. Although they were off duty when I called, I got a call back that was prompt and informative. They arranged a time to come, called 30 minutes prior to arrival, arrived in a timely fashion, explained my options, and completed the work quickly and effectively. The repair person, Steve, was friendly, polite, and efficient. I would recommend this company to anyone who needed their services.

I HAD AN URGENT SITUATION BUT THEY NEVER RETURNED MY PHONE CALL SO I HIRED ANOTHER LOCKSMITH WHO DID A FINE JOB.

WORK WAS PERFORMED EFFICIENTLY AND CORRECTLY. LOCKSMITH HAD HIS OWN LITTLE WORKSHOP IN HIS VAN. VERY IMPRESSIVE.

GOOD WHILE THEY WERE HERE BUT NO FOLLOW UP.

MIKE WAS ON TIME, POLITE, FRIENDLY, AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE COMPANY HAS A STANDARD FEE FOR MAKING A CALL, BUT I GOT A 10% DISCOUNT AS AN ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE RESPONSIVENESS OF THE COMPANY, AND WITH MIKE'S WORK.

IT WAS GREAT. TIMELY & PROFESSIONAL. THIS WAS NOT A VERY BIG JOB, BUT THEY DID IT WELL. ALSO, SINCE THE ORIGINAL JOB ONLY TOOK ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND THEY HAVE A MINIMUM CHARGE, HE AGREED TO CHECK OVER SOME OF MY OTHER LOCKS AND KNOBS.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS ON TIME, AND BEHAVED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE REPAIRED MY LOCK, AND REKEYED IT IN ABOUT 30 MINUTES. HE EVEN REPAIRED SHODDY WORK DONE BY THE BUILDERS OF MY TOWNHOME, TO MAKE THE DOOR FIT THE FRAME BETTER. AFTER HE WAS FINISHED WITH THE REPAIR WORK, HE VACUUMED THE DEBRIS THAT RESULTED FROM THE WORK.

DOWNS SAFE AND LOCK HELPED SAVE ME MONEY. RATHER THAN JUST COMING IN AND REPLACING ALL THE LOCKS, WHICH WOULD HAVE COST ME AT LEAST TWICE AS MUCH, THEY WERE ABLE TO RE-KEY THE EXISTING LOCKS SO THAT I COULD USE ONE KEY FOR ALL THE LOCKS. I REALLY APPRECIATED THEIR HONESTY AND LOOKING OUT FOR ME AS A CUSTOMER.

DID ONLY WHAT WAS NEEDED. NO "SELLING".

PROMPTNESS MADE AN UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATION A BIT BETTER; THEY DEFINITELY KNOW THEIR BUSINESS.

HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB FOR A PERSON I PREDICTED TO BE YOUNG AND IN TRAINING.
