Pretty much, this company is all out terrible. I have waited on Saturdays for these guys to come out for a real long time. The guys who come out are professional, but they have to keep coming out. This is a repeated problem also it is a company that has a complete monopoly in our area.
Description of Work: I had Comcast install my cable service. The job took about an hour to complete. This was the initial installation.

I am using them because I like having my satellite through them, but I had one horrible experience with them. When they were in the process of switching us over to more channels my service went out. I have three pages of phone records where I had to call them to try and get this issue resolved. I went without service for 6 days and I was very upset. Each time I called, they kept making promises, but no one came out, and the customer service was real nice but they had no way to reach the dispatcher or leave e mails. Then they kept transferring me to departments that were not helping me; technical support could not help. After the sixth day, they came and found the problem and were able to get it fixed and I didn't have to pay for the six days that I went without service. It is working fine now and I am happy about that.
Description of Work: I have satellite cable through Comcast and they came out to switch us over to give us a few more free channels. They also had to come and fix my cable lines.

Comcast came out on October 6, 2006 to discover the phone problem. The technician noted that there is not enough signal coming from the street and into the house. He noted that the outside maintenance crew would fix the problem within 48 hours. After he left, we had no phone service. After complaining to Comcast, they discovered that the technician had accidentally left our line disconnected and they fixed it (late on October 7th). However, the original phone problem was still occurring. After hearing nothing, I called Comcast back on October 13th and they had no notice of an outstanding work order. They noted someone would be out within 48 hours. As of October 23rd, we have had no contact from Comcast and the problem is still occurring.
Description of Work: Our digital phone line has had problems off and on over the past few years with severe static being in the line 30-50% of the time. It has been "fixed" several times and then caused problems with the cable TV service. We requested that Comcast fix the issue completely.

I was a little a wary about using the dreaded cable company for my Internet purposes, but I could not have been more surprised. The customer service has been OUTSTANDING. Every time I have called I have spoken to an actual human within 60 seconds and the one time I had to have a technician come out to my house he was incredibly nice and competent.

THEY ARE TOO EXPENSIVE. ITS INSANE. IN COMPARISON YOU HAVE THE CABLE TV AND CABLE MODEM, AND THEY DONT OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR A BUNDLE OF SERVICES. THE DISH NETWORK IS CHEAPER IN COMPARISON TO CABLE. I CANT GET DIRECT TV AND HAVE COMCAST CABLE. IF I WANTED SOMETHING DIFFERENT, I WOULD HAVE TO GET DSL, BUT THAT MEANS I WOULD HAVE TO GET BELL SOUTH, AND I DONT WANT THAT.

COMCAST WAS SUPPOSED TO HOOK UP CABLE CONNECTION FOR TWO TV'S IN MY HOUSE. THE TECHNICIAN CAME AND INSTALLED ONLY ONE TV. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO GO TO THE CRAWL SPACE TO INSTALL THE WIRING FOR THE SECOND ONE. HE DID NOT WANT TO DO THAT. HE WAS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. HE LEFT WITHOUT INSTALLING THE SECOND TV. NOW I DO NOT HAVE ANY TRANSMISSION ON MY MAIN TV. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO GET MY CABLE HOOKED UP. THEY KEEP PUTTING ME ON HOLD AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL CALL BACK AND THEY NEVER DO. I AM STILL WAITING TO HEAR FROM THEM. ON THE WHOLE IT HAS BEEN EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE.
