At first the internet speeds were fast. As time went on speed went down but prices went up. Problem in our area only several internet provides that service our area.
Description of Work: Prices were going up so I found another solution. AT&T 18 MPS for $35 per month for one year.

The service itself is OK. The good: Nice download speeds. The bad: Way over priced, Comcast does not care if they lose your business, hardware failed and replaced twice by older non-working equipment. Service goes down at least twice a month. Did not show up for appointment. With Comcast it's all about procuring new customers not keeping the existing ones.

We pay way too much. The price could always be lower. They seem to be pretty fair when it comes to service. I will probably continue to use them.

They are too high, and they really don’t care if they lose my business. They are the only player around right now without going to satellite. It is just ongoing with price increases and taking away services. They are the only ones available for cable and I would have to go with them. I really wish there was another option without going to satellite. We do lose cable service from time to time. We have lost reception a lot of times when there are very bad storms due to some of their equipment being disturbed by lightning and things like that.

I have been using them since 1995. They are not responsive when I call and I get the feeling they do not care about my concerns. When they send me a bill there are so many charges they never tell me about. It is as if they know they are the only service in this town and they do not really care about the customers.

The last time they came out was free of charge and in fact they gave me a bit of a rebate. I was satisfied with the services that I received. I think I will use them again as I am afraid the other ones are just as bad.

Comcast is the devil. I hate them. Unfortunately they are one of the only providers for cable and internet in my area. I've had to schedule three different appointments to try and get cable service in my living room and kitchen. The technician on the first appointment was very knowledgeable and spent about 2 hours hooking up my cable and internet. I told him that I needed a cable outlet installed in the opposite corner of the living room and one in the kitchen as well. He told me that I would have to reschedule to have someone come out to do a "wall fish," however he made sure that I was able to watch TV and use the internet before he left. Prior to leaving he told me that he wasn't able to ground my cable and that he shouldn't have done any of the work. He told me to go buy a grounding rod and instructed me how to ground the cable myself. After he left I called and scheduled a "wall fish" for a few days later. When that technician came out she told me that she was told there was something wrong with my internet. She didn't know anything about a wall fish. So, I rescheduled again. This time a "contractor" for Comcast came out and told me that the only way to get a cable outlet on the other side of my living room would be to staple an external cable on the exterior of my house from one side to the other. He said that he was unable to go in from the attic because there weren't any cable up there and "it would be tight" in the crawl space - not that it couldn't be done in the crawl space. Basically he implied that he didn't want to have to spend any time in the crawl space. I told him that I didn't want to have a cable running across the front of my house and he said there wasn't another way. He also told me there was no way to get cable in my kitchen. Bottom line is that Comcast technicians are lazy and only want to do the minimum required. If it looks like the job will require some effort or actual hard work, they tell you it can't be done. It looks like the only solution is to find an outside company who is willing to do the work or do it myself.
Description of Work: Hooked up cable and internet at new address. "Attempted" to install two cable outlets.

They had to order everything when they came. They did install cable but did not leave any cable boxes or cable up. They also damaged my wall. They came the next day and were able to provide everything that I needed. They responded quickly. They came within three days. They worked for about an hour each day. I pay them $106 every month. They were on time. I am thinking of trying another cable company. I will not use them again.
Description of Work: I have my cable connection with Comcast. I had contacted them last week when they came out to put a hole in the wall to install cables in two of my rooms in my home.

overall- the company could use some logic in problem solving. i should have been given credit for all the time i couldn't watch tv. since they come initially at "move-in" to set it up- they knew my cable box was too old to work properly, and it took months before they gave me the new updated - same way now with my modem.
Description of Work: four years i lived in norcross and had comcast cable tv and internet- no problems. last september i moved to an apt accross the street from where i had lived. i had to call about my cable tv about 3 or more times per week and sometimes 5 times in a day from sept - january. the service person came to my apt several times. finally i was given a new cable tv box mid-january and have had no problems since. why didn't they give me an updated box to begin with? now...that my cable tv is good, my internet stops working properly. it times out 95% of the time in the last week. now they tell me i need a new modem. when they came over several times before and finally changed out my old cable box..why didn't they change my old modem to the new one?

Description of Work: I have relocated from Massachusetts. The 1-8800-685-6683 "Moving?" button on the RH side of my login screen assures me that they will make it "painless". I have spent more than 12 hours of carefully recorded time to still have my old emails transferred to my new address in Atlanta. after nearly 8 hours and at least 10 calls where I was cut off, switched between Comcast in Atlanta, billing, Comcast Massachusetts, billing, relocation group, technical support, Comcast ???, I learn that my account has my ex-wife as the owner. Not once did anyone I spoke to during this time suggest I couldn't have my emails transferred. Even after she called them they still will not transfer my old email. 4 days later. This has gone on for 2 weeks.

We are happy with both the cable and the phone. We had to pay for installation. They?ve been very responsive when we?ve called them over the phone with problems. Sometimes we?ve had to talk to them twice. Over the phone they were much more professional than otherwise. We are really satisfied with their service.

They are competitively priced. We were not happy with the person who came and installed our modem. We told them the same thing too when they had called us. The service seems to be fine and working well, but the installation did not go smoothly. The person who came to do the installation was supposed to have given us our password, account log-in details and so forth. He had actually done all that but hadn?t given us the information. He hadn?t made it clear to us that he had done that. He just rushed through things and did things without telling us because he was running late. He was also not very cordial when he was supposed to be that. Our experience with them was not a good one.

I think basically the Internet service provided by Comcast is fairly descent. Their service people will lie to me like crazy. I don't like their customer service. I don't trust them at all, it's very poor service. I do like the Internet service, just not the customer service.

Service was horrible. I had to re-set my modem daily. Service calls were a joke--they either came late, or didn't come at all. The last straw was when my service was down for 2 weeks (after horrible phone call attempts when I was hung up on by three different technicians) and I had a scheduled appointment. They were supposed to come between 5-8pm. They called at 5:21pm to confirm the appointment, I acknowledged I would be home and available. I went to the bathroom, and then saw that they had called again (another rep) at 5:26pm. I called back, and was told they would not be coming since I didn't answer the phone! Apparently the first call I did answer didn't count. When they asked me to reschedule I just said don't bother, I am calling another provider.

Overall, I am very disappointed with the service. After my introductory rate is over, I will definitely transfer my service to my prior provider.
Description of Work: Connected internet service. The contractor who connected the service put the box in the garage, not the office; I was not home while he did this. I did not have a router at the time and for a couple days I had to sit in the garage working on the computer. I called several times for them to fix it and no one showed up until two months later. Also, they stuck the cable box right in the middle of the wall which is open to the street, its ugly. My husband ended up taking it down all together. I perform much of my work online; in the first month we had an outage every single week for up to two days straight. And when I kept calling them I was told that the outage was in the area, and there was nothing they could do. Only once they gave me credit for only one day after I asked several times. Compare this with my previous provider, who gave a whole months credit simply because service did not work once for a few hours in the one and a half years that I had service with them.

The approximate cost listed is per month. We have had so many service issues with them; with outages; etc. The person who we speak to on the phone doesn't know what the problem is. Unfortunately we can't switch to another provider because of our location.

I was unhappy with their recent response to my problem. They didn't seem to be able to fix the problem. They were nice when I called and seemed to be very professional, but they had so much trouble fixing the problem that I was concerned. When the service is working properly I think it is great and I have enjoyed it. They give a big window of time for when they'll arrive and although they do come within that time, it still involves a lot of waiting.
Description of Work: Comcast provides my cable TV and internet service. I recently contacted them about problems with the system being out for 5 days.

My phone goes out a lot and causes problems with my alarm system and they can't seem to do anything about it. I only stay with them because it is convenient. I wouldn't recommend them as there are other companies out there.

I have had good service with Comcast. We had some signal problems when it was first installed, but their service person was good. He even gave us a card with his cell if we needed to reach him. I have 6 TV Hook-ups and we own a 4 acre property so there is quite a long run from the street to the house, which is whey there were signal problems. My only complaint is that their phone people are not always as courteous as they could be. I did recently upgrade to premium services.

I am using them because I like having my satellite through them, but I had one horrible experience with them. When they were in the process of switching us over to more channels my service went out. I have three pages of phone records where I had to call them to try and get this issue resolved. I went without service for 6 days and I was very upset. Each time I called, they kept making promises, but no one came out, and the customer service was real nice but they had no way to reach the dispatcher or leave e mails. Then they kept transferring me to departments that were not helping me; technical support could not help. After the sixth day, they came and found the problem and were able to get it fixed and I didn't have to pay for the six days that I went without service. It is working fine now and I am happy about that.
Description of Work: I have satellite cable through Comcast and they came out to switch us over to give us a few more free channels. They also had to come and fix my cable lines.
