CALLED TO SERVICE DRYER. SERVICEMAN ONLY TOUCHED DRYER. DOOR,WHILE I HAD IT RUNNING. LOOKED AT EXHAUST PIPE FROM 8' BELOW IN DRIVEWAY., HE DIDN'T LOOK AT THE INTERIOR OF THE DRYER.. STATED EXHAUST DUCT WAS CLOGGED. SAID HE HAD TO LEAVE,, COULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO FIX IT. LEFT NO BILL FOR SERVICE. SERVICE DEPT. AT BRANDSMART VERY RUDE. WOULDN'T TAKE REPEATED CALLS. THE SERVICEMAN FINALLY RETURNED 6 HOURS LATER WITH THE SERVICE BILL. IT TOOK HIM OVER 30 MINUTES TO PREPARE IT. I CALLED SEARS HAD DUCT CHECKED, IT WAS FINE, ISSUE WAS SIMPLE, BROKEN BELT, VERY COMMON FOR THIS DRYER. I PAID FOR THE BRANDSMART 5 MINUTE CALL, $70.00. FOR SEARS TO DENY DUCT PROBLEM, OVER $100.00 AND AGAIN FOR ANOTHER SEARS SERVICEMAN TO REPLACE THE BELT. AND SOLVE THE PROBLEM. BRANDSMART CLAIMS IF SERVICEMAN CAME, A BILL WAS ISSUED FOR THE CALL, NO MATTER THE QUALITY OF SERVICE OR TIME SPENT. THEY DON'T STAND BEHIND THE QUALITY OF SERVICE THEY PROVIDE. WOMAN IN SERVICE DEPT WAS VERY RUDE AND BLOCKED CALLS. DATE IS GUESS s time has lapsed since this event.

Horrible. This store and their delivery vendor are unbelievably incompetent.
Description of Work: Bought a washer and dryer. The day they were supposed to deliver, they called to say they were out of stock. After accepting a small discount to take the floor model, the delivery nightmare ensued.. This store has cheap prices for a reason. Go to Sears and pay the extra hundred bucks.

Description of Work: brandsmart repaired my microwave. It was still under warranty so there was no cost to me. They were prompt and identified the problem quickly. It required a replacement part. It was ordered and they returned three days later and successfully completed the repair.

It went great! Please see above. They also gave me the pieces that go on the washing machine to stabilize it during transportation and explained to me what they where and how to use them.
Description of Work: They delivered the washing and dryer when they said they would. They were very careful unloading them off the truck and transporting them to the fifth floor of the apartment building. They could only install the washing machine that day because the property did not have a vent for the dryer, but they explained everything to me and told me to just call and they would come back out, which they did.

Our salesman at the Stockbridge store, Glenford, was fantastic. I can't say enough great things about Glenford. The delivery man called ahead the day of delivery, came on time, looked tidy and professional, parked on the street to protect our driveway and did a great job except for one glaring mistake. He tore up the saddle valve supplying water to the ice maker. An hour after he left my husband called me at work in a panic - there was a puddle coming out from under the fridge. I talked him through it, and despite his disability he managed to pull out the fridge and determine where the leak was. I called Brandsmart immediately and was told they would come back in the next 48 hours. I balked because there was a leak. The woman on the other end told me to shut off the water to the whole house until they could come back and more or less hung up on me. I rushed home from work costing myself 3 hours pay, managed to tighten up the saddle valve so it would stop leaking and turned it off. The next day a different delivery man came, confirmed the saddle valve was broken and water damage had occurred. He told me Brandsmart's installers cannot do anything with the plumbing so I will have to either fix it myself or hire a plumber. I filed a damage claim with Brandsmart on Sept 1 and let them know I would be out of town until Sept 6. I was told an investigator from the delivery contractor would contact us by Sept 8. Today is Sept 11 and not one peep. Brandsmart's prices and sales team are fabulous, but the savings is pointless if I have to pay a plumber. Next time I call my local appliance shop that we bought from 20 years ago, pay a little more and get an installer that is fully trained. UPDATE - 11/7/10 I disputed the charges to my credit card and got the purchase price back from my card company. It has been 2 months since the purchase. Brandsmart, nor their independent installers have contacted me and have not pursued the dispute with my credit card company. At this point I have a free refrigerator - though the plumber cost about $150 to repair the valve.

I think they contract people to come out and install it and that went great. The guy was really good and gave me a lot of good information. They are like a retail store and sell all kinds of electronics. They sent a guy out who brought the dishwasher in and unboxed it. He took out the old one and put the new one in and made sure it worked well. He also gave me all kinds of tips and tricks of how best to operate it and what to do and what not to do. He was very informative and wonderful. He was also very personable, professional, and friendly and I just hope they know they have a really good installer working for them. I think prices are in line with everybody else.

I can't remember the price. It came with a warranty that includes any kind of breakage, and it also includes a yearly check up and maintenance. They have really good service. I do remember that the price was good, though.
