DJ was polite and was able to stop by very quickly to provide an estimate. The price seemed high - $1,000 for about 2 hours of work. I felt too pressured to decide immediately, so I declined. A couple of weeks later, I got a quote from another company for the same work - only $450.

Everyone did a great job on the day of service. They came punctually at 8:00 and were finished in approximately three hours. They cleaned up all of the tree branches and dust that was created. The yard has never looked better and our house is now protected from the old branches.

The company called very quickly after buying a service package from Angie's List (the following day). The service schedule was within a few days, better than expected. When they arrived, we walked around and made a quick assessment of the trees, and their state. They seemed very knowledgeable and professional. They also were flexible in the terms and pricing for the work that needed to be done after the assessment. The only issue, is that they seemed to focus more on the future work rather than on the current assessment. Had it been the other way around, I would probably have hired them for the additional work.

.Once contact was made, the scheduling and appointment for services went smooth and fast. The job itself took less time than I anticipated and the crew worked together well and cleaned up nicely. My neighbors were clueless about what happened to the tree since they felled it and cleaned up in less than an hour. The next day, another crew came and took care of the remaining root by grinding it down below the dirt and covered with existing pine bark.

Good things first: 1. They are friendly according to wife. 2. We didn't have to be home when work was performed. Got home and the tree was gone. Few days later the stumps were removed. 2. They did pretty good work and the site was pretty clean. 3. It's a good deal for us because we got the $99 for $300 Angie's List Big Deal offer. 4. Do keep in mind that these guys might be overwhelmed because of the Big Deal Offer. Thoughts first: Despite how long it took from the first day we contacted them to when the work is finally performed, it's a relatively painless process. We were not in a hurry to have the tree removed. The only thing that bugs me a little is I wish they can let us know they know we are on their schedule and they will get to us. And I have a thing about expecting something to be done when told it will be done. I want to be honest and describe the experience as it happened, but I also want to say these guys did the job just fine. Again, not to find excuses for them, just want to be fair. What happened: I got to use this company because Angie's List was offering a Big Deal coupon: $99 for $300 worth of service. And I tend to think if Angie's List is offering it, the company can't be bad. And as soon as I purchased the deal (2 of them), I got an email from John to let me know to schedule service whenever I am ready. I thought, cool, that's responsive. Asked my wife to schedule an appointment for an estimate and that was 11/1/2012. They came out and did the estimate. Additional $50 for stump removal (performed by another company) which was not asked to pay yet. It's all fine. Wife said they are friendly. Then we just understood it as they will come out when they have jobs up this way and we don't have to be home. So days went by and 2 weeks later we contacted asked again if they were coming out sometime. It's not that we were in a hurry but would at least like to be updated. Then we contacted again and then was emailed on 11/17 that they'll be coming out on 11/19. 11/19 came and it was a no show and no contact after that. It was Thanksgiving week so I did not to inquire until after the holidays. So I sent another email on 11/27 asking when's the next attempt of them to come out. Again, just need updates. I did not hear back until wife called them on 12/4. On 12/5 got another email saying that they'll be coming out to perform the work. And they did this time. A couple of days later someone came out and removed the stumps.

The owner put me in touch with Tim Newberry and he happened to be in my area the day I called. They came to my house that day and completed the work. They did an excellent job cutting down the trees and cleaning up my yard, leaving no debris behind. The following day, they came back to haul off the trees. I would highly recommend using Tim and his crew.

They were punctual, fast, and professional. I watched them as they were cutting the trees down and they were extremely safe and ensured my yard was not impacted in any way. We will definitely be hiring them again for any future tree removal needs.

They didn't call me back after the assessment visit, but when I finally called them back, they were here that day, before I even got home. They brought a big chipper, too - so there was no big pile of limbs for the county to pick up. Very good work, nice lead guy and folks on the phone. I would call them again in the future.

We delayed the service until the painting was complete. They were very careful to not pull down a TV/Internet/Phone cable that passed through the tree. They were on-time, quick and complete and left the area in clean condition.

I had purchased 2 coupons valued at $300 each. While I expected to pay more for the additional services, I learned, in retrospect, that the company, Atlanta Tree Professional, overcharged me for the additional items (based on another professional who's retired from the tree care business). Most of the work was done reasonably well, but the trimming and canopy opening of the maple had to be corrected, mid-course, when I noted the trimmer was not following the plan his supervisor had explained to me. I am left with a general concern that some of Angie's providers may pad estimates of additional work to make up revenues they are required to forgo by the Big Deal.

The company came out to see what work had to be completed, gave us an estimate. The estimator was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with and described the process in great detail. They were able to complete the work earlier than they originally expected. A week later the crew arrived and went right to work, removing the trees. With the big tree leaning towards the house, they took every precaution to ensure there would be no damage from falling branches. The crew was great and the work was completed as explained. They did not ask for any payment until the day after the job was completed. They are a very professional company and we would highly recommend them

Extremely disappointed! The company rep who came out to my house was more interested in selling additional tree cutting services than honoring the Big Deal that I purchased. When I declined his additional services and requested that they just honor the Big Deal and trim two trees, I got nothing but empty promises. I had several promised service dates but my trees have never been trimmed.

Not very well since they never even started the service or came over to give an estimate. I called them right after purchasing the deal back on October 17th. We scheduled a time for them to come by to give an estimate and I waited at my house all morning waiting for them. When they didn't show up I called them and they said they came by but I wasn't home, which was not true. I was home the whole time. I thought they might of went to the wrong address but regardless if they thought i wasn't home, wouldn't they of called me before leaving my house. Anyways, so we rescheduled for the next day. They said they would call me before they were on there way but after not hearing from them all day, I called and they said they were still working with other clients and needed to reschedule again. So I asked if they could come by on the following Tuesday October 30th and that he would call me the day before to confirm and they never called again. Mind you, this was only for an estimate, not even to do the work. Then a Week Later I get a call from them trying to see if I was around the day they called but I couldn’t be there because I was work. I asked if they could do Saturday, Nov. 3rd or if they couldn’t do that day, I asked about the Monday. The guy said he wasn’t sure if he could come by Saturday but he would call me to let me know whether he could do that day or on that Monday. I’m still waiting for that call and I’m through trying to track them down. As a client, they should be trying to get my business, not the other way around.

The service was rendered as requested in the time frame requested. His work was timely and professional and it was a good experience.

Perfect. I called them this morning and they returned my call in about 15 mins. They were in our area and came out within 1/2 hour. We agreed on a price and the work began this afternoon and took about 4 hours. Everything is done, cleaned up and hauled away. Very prompt and professional. Would highly recommend.

A neighbor had told my husband and me about Atlanta Tree Professionals and how pleased he had been with their work and reasonable prices. I was delighted to see that they were the same company offering a Big Deal on Angie's List. We bought the Big Deal (2 coupons) and within 24 hours received an email from John Kritko thanking us and asking us what we would like done. I'll also note that I found it very impressive that he cc'd some of his crew on the email keeping them in the loop. Open communication is good. So we set a time to meet with John. He was punctual and listed what we wanted done and what the difference would be from the coupon. We agreed on a price and John said that he would call in less than a week and let us know that his crew were in the area and would give us a time that they would be there. Sure enough, in less than a week, he called and gave a time. His crew arrived, he came soon after, and we went over everything again with the foreman. Before they began, the foreman politely asked if I needed to take the car out of the garage because they would need to be working there to remove the two large trees. The crew of five went right to work. One on trimming the Bradford pear, two cutting the trees and two on the ground putting the logs in the chipper. Again, they were professional and efficient. I'll also add that when they first arrived, that I had asked John about a small tree, whether to prune it or cut it down ( I had done some DIY damage to it). He suggested that I cut it down and start over. I agreed and had previously talked to my husband about getting out a chain saw to take it down at some point. After completing the job, the foreman came to my door and said that they were finished. I told him how pleased I was and tipped the crew. He also offered not only to take the tree down, but since it would be good firewood, to cut it up for me as well. He even asked me what size to cut the logs. Yes, I am very pleased.

It was hard to initially get in contact with them and they were a little bit more expensive than I thought. DJ was great to work with and really nice. They did a really good job and left no mess behind. They worked quickly and completed the work before I thought. They did an excellent job.

They did very good. Our neighbors can't believe we had all the trees removed at that price. One of our neighbors even hired them for work as well. They did exactly what they said and everything they needed to do. They were very professional, their price was very good, and they cleaned up after themselves.

We asked them to come out and give us an estimate when we were thinking about purchasing a Big Deal. They ended up making us an offer to do more work and cut down more trees. We intended to initially only have a couple of trees trimmed. Instead, we had 20 down. They came and did the work within a day and a half. There were two crews. The crew never walked; instead they ran wherever they went. It was amazing to watch. They completed the work and even offered us the wood chips. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. They were just incredible.

I had asked for a landscape company to trim the shrubs in my yard for the winter. The man came out today, and said that his company does not work on shrubs, just trees.

I had a very difficult leaning pine tree to remove before it fell on my neighbor's swimming pool. John & his crew removed the tree quickly and left the area spotless. Very profession. I would recommend them to anyone needing tree service.

Purchased Deal of the Day. Set up appointment via phone. Inspection was done of our property to discuss with us trees that should be trimmed as we have a lot of squirrels and they were jumping onto roof. Few days later crew arrived and we were amazed at the organization. Workers were up the trees and trimming in unison. All debris was removed to our satisfaction. We would definitely recommend and plan to use Atlanta Tree Professionals in the future. They live up to their name "Professional".

Overall I was pleased with the service. I purchased (2) coupons from Angie's List that saved me $400. DJ was very prompt in responding to my phone call. He had a crew in the area so we were able to schedule the service that same day. DJ scoped out the work that needed to be done and provided a price that was reasonable. I had had some trees removed previously by a different company, so I had an idea of pricing of these size trees. The crew worked very quickly. The pine tree was very large, and overall was brought down very carefully. A couple of the large trunk pieces were dropped into an area with grass rather than into the natural area, creating some deep gouges in the lawn. Not a real problem for me since the yard is not in good shape. The oak was also very large with many large branches, and it was in a fairly tight spot between our house and the neighbors. Again it was brought down very quicky and carefully. The tree fort was beginning to fall apart and needed to come down to remove the trees. They could not shred the wood due to the nails, bolts and other metal, and they also could not haul it away. However they cut it into manageable pieces. Cleanup was overall good. They shredded all of the trees on site, which was quite loud. I was a little concerned at the lack of eye or hearing protection by some of the workers, DJ should make sure his workers are sufficiently protected. All areas around the trees were cleaned up well. There was some damage to a small azalea near where the shredder was, but it appears to have survived. DJ is a local small business owner, and I enjoyed working with him. A few small concerns, but overall very satisfactory. I would recommend Atlanta Tree Professionals to anyone requiring this service.

Phil came by on a Saturday and inspected the trees and provided me a price as well as what was going to de done. I told him that this was not a rush job and that I was open to whatever their availability was. He called me the following Monday and said a crew was in the area and that they could come by and do the work. Tim and his crew arrived at the time that Phil provided and they were done in less than an hour. They picked up all the branches and leaves, put them through the chipper and cleaned up the area where the work was done. The trees never looked better! Nice job all around. I would definitely use them again. They really do know about trees.
