I initially added my "Me Too" to the reviews written by others: I purchased the "Big Deal" back in October and, since the coupon was good until April, decided to try to schedule some light trimming work in February when the tree(s) are still dormant. It took all of that month just to get someone to come out and give an estimate. With the work set up on a date during the first week of March, we were sorely disappointed when no one showed up to perform the work -- or so much as called to let us know. An email to the main contact, John Kritko, was responded to with reasons about the weather holding things up and a commitment for a new date. That date came and went with nothing received from them, and there would be no further word from them -- after several additional inquiries -- until 3/23. I finally heard back from them on that date with an email that was both somewhat defensive and apologetic. To be fair, this company offered a deal that was just too good to pass up, and they ended up getting overwhelmed. I am now persuaded that they were trying their best to honor the deals within the restrictions the much-larger-than-expected response imposed on them. I was disappointed that we could not get this work done within the seven weeks from 2/1 to 3/23, and so I'll be going for refund. I believe that, under the conditions imposed on them, I am not able to give their work a fair review.

Trees look beautiful. John and his crew did a great job! One of my neighbors came over while they where cutting them and had them work on a tree for him and he was extremely happy. Thumbs up!

It didn't go at all. This company never scheduled an appointment with me to complete the tree removal we had earlier met and discussed.

I lost the 99.00 for the 2nd deal that I purchased from them, and they never came back out to do the job for me. He was supposed to trim 3 cherry tree's for me.

I began corresponding with John K the day I bought the coupon. We agreed on a time for him to come out and do an estimate to make sure that the coupon i bought covered the scope of the job. I should have known it wasn't going to go well when he no-showed for the appointment. When I called to see where he was he told me " he forgot." After several more missed or cancelled appointments he finally came to do the estimate and assured me the work would be covered by the coupon. He told me the work would be done on the following Saturday. No one showed up. What has followed has been almost two months of me having to reach out to John, him telling me what day they were coming, and then no one showing up. The most frustrating part is that he never even calls me to tell me that the appointment isn't going to work out. They just don't show, then I reach out to him, and then I'm given some excuse as to why they didn't make it. I bought the coupon on January 9th. As of today, March 4th, the work has still never been completed. I have honestly never had a more frustrating or unprofessional service experience and I would go out of my way to ensure that no one I know uses this company.

John came by the house in the morning to provide the quote. We reviewed what needed to be done and he had his crew there in the afternoon. I was not there to watch them work but they were in and out in a few hours. They removed 5 trees behind the house, topped a small tree in front and pruned a few other trees. When I came home we discovered that the guys forgot to take out one tree that we had discussed. They came back the next day and removed that tree and completed the job.

He never came to our property and never gave us an estimate. He called to say he'd be in the area and would stop by. I called back the next day and he said he'd call back in 10 minutes to update us on the estimate. He never called back, so 2 days later I called again. When I called back he started yelling at me and he was extremely threatening and rude. He said he did not want to work with someone like me. I decided to get a refund.

I purchased my Angie's List coupon and called Atlanta Tree Services immediately. Tim said he would be out that day and sounded very anxious to provide services. I advised that I would not be home that day but said he could come over that day and leave an estimate in my mailbox to which he agreed. He did not show up. He returned my call a couple weeks later. He said how very busy he was and that he would come as soon as possible. He still did not come. I finally called yet a third time and he did come by. I feel that once Tim learned I was a ?discount customer? I was no longer a high priority I previously felt I was. That is only my assumption based on the initial immediate call back followed by no response. I received estimates from two other tress services, both about $100 less than Atlanta Tree Services. I feel $300 to prune two Crepe Myrtles is fair (which is what the other companies quoted) Atlanta Tree Professions wanted a total of $400 (that include cost of coupon) so really I did not need to purchase the coupon. I gave Atlanta Tree Services an opportunity to do the job for $300 and never heard back from them. Out of principle, I will hire one of the other companies and eat the cost of the coupon!

I purchased two Angie's List deal vouchers for $198 on 1/15 which translated to a value of $600. I had a total of five trees to be pruned. One magnolia to raise the canopy and four other large trees where branches were extending over the top of my roof. The next day I was sent an email by the company requesting information on the work to be done and a convenient time to call. Within a few days I received a call to set up a time for John (I think that was his name) to come out and give me an estimate. He came over late in the morning on 1/22. We agreed on a price of $750 which was the two vouchers and an additional $150 for disposal. He said his crew would be out that afternoon. The crew of approximately five men arrived around 3:15 PM and immediately went to work. It took them around an hour and a half to do all the work. Considering how high they had to climb in the trees to do the cutting of the branches I was very surprised they were able to finish so quickly. What amazed me was the cleanup afterwards. Not only did they remove all the debris created but they used a blower to clean up all the leaves that had accumulated around my house. I thought I was taking a chance when I bought these vouchers because of some of the reviews I had read but in my case I thought I got a very good deal for the amount of money I spent. The fact that the job was done so quickly was an added bonus.

They had their estimator here when he said he would be. And then the crew showed up on time too. Treee was removed in a professional manner.

Phil and crew arrived exactly on time and went to work. With a crew of 5 the work lasted about 3.5 hours and when completed I was amazed at the difference and how good my yard looked. They cleaned up beautifully, including blowing off the driveway. I was so impressed I gave a $100 tip for the workers to share! These guys are great and I will definitely use them again.

I had 2 Angie's List coupons-so that was $600 off of my bill. I wanted to clear my back yard of tall dead trees and over grown shrubbery. I was told that I would have to pick a spot for the 2 vouchers because they would not cover all the work I needed done. I ask for an estimate of how much it would be to clear everything back to my property line. He walked around, went back to the marking for my property line (which I had no idea where it was). This is what end up being a problem for me after they were finished. I was looking at all of the trees and shrubs in the back of my house, including a large one that had fallen last year. As it turned out, that tree wasn't even on my property. When I was quoted $2100- 600= $1500, I thought it was a good deal. But after they cleared my yard back to my property line, I realized that there was a lot less on my property to be cleared than what I thought. One thing I will say, the men they hired were very fast workers. They cut up the fallen tree that was on my side of the fence that I didn't even know existed. After I realized that my property only went back about half of what I thought it was, I began to wonder if I should have gotten another quote. While I was very pleased with the work done, I just felt like the price was too high for the amount of land that I had to be cleared off. After paying the man in charge, I went back into the house. When I came out about an hour later after they left, I noticed that the guy had left one of their signs in my yard. I called immediately to ask why it was there. I told him that usually when a company puts their sign in a customer's yard, they give that customer some kind of discount on the job. He said that he had put it there while they were working and forgot to get it when they left. That was the 1st part of December. I still have the sign in my yard. I thought that was a very sneaky move on their part. the low mark on professionalism and responsiveness were based strictly on the company's sign never being removed as I was told they would, especially since they never got my permission to put it there.

The technician told us that he would come by our house to look at our trees and give us an estimate. We never received the estimate. I called to make another appointment. I confirmed the appointment the morning of the scheduled visit and he confirmed that he would be there late afternoon about 5:00. He never showed up. I called twice after that never received a return call. We received a refund.

This company never performed services and I will be looking for a refund. Last communication with them in late November. NEVER came out to even look. I sent numerous emails and have not heard back since 11/26. HORRIBLE! 10/31 sent John Kritko all of the info he requested. Address, etc... 11/19 sent second request as I had not heard back 11/22 we actually communicated but he said he'd have a crew in my area. I told him Tues and Thurs work for me since I work from home on those days. He told me "Tomorrow is pretty tight for me to fit in another job. But ill give you a heads up if that changes".....and that's that. That's the last I've heard from them.

Acceptable quality of service provided, horrible customer service.

The team (5-6) showed up on time with a supervisor to begin the work. The guys worked hard all day. I was really impresses with their efficiency - no one stood around watching. They took out the big dead oak and cleared the back yard. They said I wouldn't recognize it when they were done, and they were right. It is a whole new space. They pointed out ways for me to better maintain the yard and issues they found with remaining trees. The finished on time and clean up the space before they left. The supervisor did a walk through with me to make sure I was happy before the team left.

No problems with the job itself. But because it was a smaller job I was not given an appointment for the service. I was squeezed into bigger jobs and had to wait more than a month for the crew to come out and cut the limbs.

see above. First experience with Angie's list The service was never performed and they advised me to get my money back from Angies list. It appears that these type deals are vert low priority for the service company and if they can't up-sell you to a bigger job they don't want any part of you.

Still waiting to have the trees trimmed

Reviewed with John the two trees I wanted removed; and John recommended other tasks Atlanta Tree Professional could provide for the property; and we agreed on the price quote he submitted. First, I'll add, I'm a tightwad and was satisfied with the price and quality of work (enough that I've recommended their services to two of my friends). To appreciate the quality of their work, you must realize both these (20" diameter) trees were engulfed in vines and one of the trees was within 10' of my house with limbs projecting 12' over my roof. Either of these trees could have caused damage to my property, but this contractor provided the professional service that saved all properties. Contractor arrived promptly at 9:00 am, walked the grounds with his crew, and this band of woodcutters went to their tasks; and before day's end - trees cut and pruned, leaves gathered and all debris was removed from property.

I would never use them

The work went very well.. They actually brought a large crew for not a very large job. I guess they generally get much larger tree jobs. They worked fast and included me on the decision making. In fact, they asked me to take a look at the pruning job a couple times to determine how much the bush should be pruned back. The biggest issue was getting the job scheduled. I called several times over a few weeks and finally had to consider getting a refund for the big deal. Finally, they called and showed up on a Saturday to get the job done.
