Johnathan was quick to respond to my email regarding setting the appointment and was able to book the appointment in a very reasonable time frame. He arrived on time and was thorough in explaining the process. He took care to make no mess in the house while cleaning the chimney and was happy to answer all of my questions regarding ongoing maintenance. I found Johnathan to be professional and knowledgeable. They went over and beyond in providing exemplary service..

When I contacted Jonathon to schedule the service, I explained that my wife and I are both starting new jobs, so if possible I would like to have the service performed on Saturday, so we would not need to take time off from work. Jonathon came out this morning, to accomodate our schedule. He was prompt, knowledgable and very professional. He noticed that my dryer vent hose was dry rotting, so he replaced that, thoroughly cleaning the vent, and making sure that the flap on the external vent cover functioned properly. He then inspected my chimney. I explained that I had gas logs but had never had a tank hooked up, so the fireplace has never been used. As a result, the chimney was fine. He closely examined my gas logs and recommended that I have the burners moved further back in the fireplace before using it. He explained that, positioned so far toward the front of the fireplace, they would produce more soot on the front of the logs, and they could also leave soot on the fornt of the fireplace surround, as well as releasing carbon monoxide into the room. He spent a couple of hours on the entire service call, and I was very impressed with how knowledgable and thorough he was. I would highly recommend him, and I will call him for any service that I might need in the future.

Overall they did exactly what they said they would do. Jonathon spotted a minor repair in the fireplace and fixed it immediately. It was over 100 degrees on the inspection day, but Lance headed to the roof and attic. Jonathon went over their detailed inspection list and left a copy for me. They have an annual reminder service which is a good idea as this is one of those things that should be done every year and that most people forget. I highly recommend having this company do an annual inspection for 2 reasons: the obvious fire avoidance issue and they gave me the facts on where I needed some changes now and what could wait for a year or two.

I put in a request to have the chimney cleaned in my living room. The response was timely and the workmanship professional. Both gentlemen were knowledgeable and helpful in explaining other work that needed to be done to stop water leaking into the fireplace. . I will use this company to perform the other necessary work.

It came out great. They were on time. They knew what they were doing. They explained everything before they did the work. They were very neat. The way they cleaned up it was very nice and professional. I would use them in the future.

I bought 4 coupons. I live in a condo conplex. I bought one for myself and two for my downstairs neighbors. The men told one of my downstairs neighbors that she would have to replace her vent or have it cleaned every two years. I forget what is wrong with it. The fourth lady is having her dryer vent cleaned on August 8th. She could not do it on July 13th because of medical reasons. They are very nice men and seem very knowedgeable in this area of work.

They did a good job. They were here for probably a couple of hours. They gave me a bid on some extra work that needs to be done on the chimney. I am going to check the bid with some others. If I feel that it’s a reasonable bid, I will probably hire Atlanta Fireplace Specialists to do the work. They charged me only $99 yesterday, which was the big deal through Angie’s List. Then the bid that they gave me for replacing the rain pan on the chimney was $395 and $200 if I wanted the trough to go over it. That would be subject to the Angie’s List discount for 15%.

We purchased a "Big Deal" Chimney Sweep & Inspection for only $99! They came the next morning and did a superb job. While they were here they installed a damper that I had sitting around for an additional $60. They were very professional and keep all of the mess out of our house! We got a full breakdown from the inspection and we will definitely use them again!

They were very thorough and professional. They were also very concerned with not making a mess. They were efficient and took their shoes off when coming into the house.
