Remarkable. Technician was prompt and very knowledgeable about the gas fireplace. He ran tests to identify the problem and had me up and running in no time.

It went great. Lance was very responsive in answering questions and helping with log selection. Lance arrived early on the date of install, quickly installed the logs, and cleaned up afterward.

Our vent-free gas logs kept shutting down. My husband tried all of the troubleshooting advice on the internet, but it still wasn't reliable. Ami scheduled us quickly and Lance came out and fixed our original logs and we had a roaring fire just in time for #Snow2020. Lance & Jesse at Atlanta Fireplace Specialists remodeled our builder-grade fireplace. It completely changed the entire living room to where the fireplace is now the focal point of the room. No detail was left out. Both Lance and Jesse are true pros at what they do and have great vision for the end result. We are extremely happy in how it all turned out. They were reasonably priced and a pleasure to work with. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Don't hire a fireplace COMPANY, hire these guys at Atlanta Fireplace who do everything from start to finish and take great pride in the work they do. ***Update: 6 months after fireplace remodel I had a small aesthetic issue with the new fireplace. Atlanta Fireplace Specialists was very responsive and came out to take care of it right away. They did not even charge me! What a great company!

We had a pipe burst in the ceiling and water came down inside our gas log fireplace. Another fireplace company said the entire fireplace had to be replaced at a cost of around $6500, and my tile surround would be ruined. I called AFS because of their great reviews and was not disappointed. Jesse checked the fireplace and said as far as he could tell it just needed a new remote module. Jesse and Lance came out to install the new remote module and check the blower (which is not possible without a working remote, even though the first company said the blower was damaged). The blower was fine and my fireplace works like new for about $500 and my tile not wrecked. This business is A+.

AFS sealed the fireplace in two places where outside air was getting in. They also seated the fireplace glass so that it had a proper seal. The results are a warm room and a pilot light that stays lit. We're finally happy with the room after living in our house for two and a half years. Couldn't be happier with the service.

Not very professional company. They came to measure the shroud first time and find out they don't have long enough ladder. They came back a week later with still not long enough ladder, blaming roof is in really bad condition. Third measurement scheduled! After 2 weeks I sent email asking if they done 3rd measurement already. Not yet, weather permitting was the answer. 2 weeks later I sent another email asking if they done 3rd measurement already. Answer : Technician is currently injured, so he can't address this until he's back up and running. I decide to hire another company.

The technician did not include my Angie's List coupon. Service should have been $217. Charged $229. Didn't realize it until after the fact He could not fix my remote control to the fireplace. On works but off did not. Said he would send me an email with the remote systems that the company sells with the prices and never it was never sent. Ordered a new one of the same system that I had and it still does not work.

The technician inspected the chimney and told us the fireplace had probably only been used a few times and it didn't need to be cleaned. He was extremely knowledgeable and polite and did not charge us for the visit. Eventually we're going to convert the fireplace to gas and we won't bother calling anyone else -- they have our business.

AFS/ Lance Blackford responded via email, and for the next two weeks send sporadic responses to my request for services. On a Thursday morning I finally convinced him (no mean feat) to come to my house on Oct 7 to inspect my FP and give a complete estimate for the job. On Oct 7 during the appointment windowI hear nothing from him. I called him, no answer, no response. Left him voice mail. Four hours later I get a response "Uh Sorry, I put you down in calendar for wrong Friday (making no mention of me calling him) and then asks if I want him to come back a week later. So no, I think these guys are jokers and I would't let Lance in my house if he was the last fireman in Atlanta and my kitchen was burning to the ground.

They were very knowledgeable regarding fireplaces and chimneys. I learned that the cost to have the fireplaces redone to burn wood vs. gas was more than I was willing to pay. They could have oversold me, but they did not. I appreciate their professionalism and their expertise. If I ever did decide to put in new gas firebox, these are the guys I would call.

Great. I called Lance and he called right back. Lance was able to talk to the animal removal guy and together they were able to resolve the issue.
