The work was done very efficiently without creating dusts or leaving residues. He also went over the safe use of fire place based on the condition/structure of the fire place. I was happy with the service.

An innacurate quote was mistakenly provided. I was quoted a price that was below the market rate. Atlanta Fireplace Specialists informed me of the mistake but agreed to honor the quoted price. It took several weeks for the work to be completed. Some delays were in response to rainy days but I always had to call Atlanta Fireplace Specialists to find out that the work was not completed due to bad weather and reschedule. This was frustrating being that this property was a rental and we were not there on a day to day basis. Overall I am happy with this customer's because they performed the work for a great price and followed through on their committment.

They came to look on our gas fire place that was not working and tried to figure out what was wrong. Somehow it started working again. We were overwhelmed. And next week later it stop working again. few weeks later they came back and fix it with no extra charge. Except for the casual part. So that was wonderful! he was great and very responsive.

It went well and quickly. Because the crew lives so far away from my downtown Decatur house, they never started early, but they called is there was going to be a long delay. AFS was not the cheapest vendor with whom I met (they were around the middle on pricing), but I think they delivered good value for the money.

They came on time and did their job well.

Our fireplace was leaking water. They came out and gave us good advice on what to do about it, as well as a very reasonable estimate. In the meantime, they gave it a quick patch to temporarily stop the leak for no charge. We have yet to contract the official repair but when we do, it will be with them.

Atlanta Fireplace (Jonathan) swept my dryer vent on 2/15/13. About six weeks later I noticed a leak in the ceiling in my garage. I called a plumber who came to look and said it was not a plumbing issue, but rather a leak from the dryer vent. I called Atlanta Fireplace and Paul came out and acknowledged that the leak was from the dryer vent. I scheduled an appointment on 4/19 and Jonathan called that morning and told that the repair person (Paul) was let go but that he would try to get to me later that same day. Jonathan never showed up or called back to reschedule. I left a messages but still no response from Jonathan. Then Paul called me on 5/6 to say he was back at the company. He came out immediately on 5/9 and repaired the problem (which included installing a new outside vent which Jonathan failed to notice on his initial visit). Paul was extremely helpful, knowledgable and professional. I would give Paul an A+ but am only giving Atlanta Fireplace a B because of the hassle of dealing with Jonathan. If it wasn't for my confidence in Paul, I wouldn't even raise the score to B. Jonathan is extremely unprofessional. On his initial visit he scratched my kitchen wall with his equipment and did not mention it to me. I was in the other room with my mother and we heard his equipment fall but only saw the damage after he left. I had the wall repaired and repainted and didn't mention it. However, after seeing how he has since reacted -- I felt it was important to note as it goes to his character. I would highly recommend Paul. I would also make sure to request that Jonathan not be involved in scheduling or performing any work.

They did d a great job and took the time to explain what they did and showed us pictures of the cap before they replaced it and after they replaced it. Lance is very passionate about his trade and it shows in how he performs his job and how he represents his company. We would highly recommend Atlanta Fireplace.

It was very hard to get an appointment with them. I had to wait 2 months for the appointment. They did call me and asking me if it was okay to wait 2 months instead of just not calling me back. I liked their service.

Easy scheduling, prompt arrival, Cleaned out the dryer vent hose and recommended reducing the length of the hose for more efficient venting. I took his recommendation. He made quick work of it. I would not hesitate to use them again - especially when I'm ready to install my fireplace.

Very pleased with service provided. Chimney was extremely dirty and is now clean enough to sleep in! Lance's team took a ton of pictures as well afterwards explaining the masonry system, and provided feedback on many ideas I have for further work. The company was not the cheapest or the most expensive, and I felt I got great value for the price I paid. As a result of the chimney sweep services, I plan to have the company install my chimney cap and install new gas logs system. I would highly recommend.

The job was perfect but the scheduling was not particularly good. He responded to me. It was a very good experience. It took a while to get the estimate for me and to schedule appointment. I called them three or four times and reminded them. The quality of work wasn’t very good. They were very thorough. They did an accurate job. The people were very nice and respectful. They were listening, very professional and very knowledgeable.

From start to finish, they were pleasant and professional. The only real problem is that they got too popular and couldn't manage their increased work load very well. I had to make too many follow-up calls for status updates, and they rescheduled at least once. But their prices were very good, they were happy to offer the Angie's List discount, and I would definitely recommend them to others...in fact, I already have. There was a small problem after the installation. They were very good about coming back and fixing it. Everything has been fine since.

What an excellent experience! After several bids, I was immediately put at ease with this company. Pricing was very competitive and the knowledge base and integrity sold me. I was not disappointed. Our fireplace was in very bad shape and the job became bigger than expected. They stuck with it, were always on time, did a beautiful job, and were so enjoyable to work with. I would definitely use this company again!

The fireplace was actually clean. We had used them several years ago to do some corking in our firebox. They actually did the work in our rental house, so I wasn't there. I just heard that they showed up, did the job and everything was fine.

They arrived on time and immediately went to work. They not only fixed the problem (which involved a wire in the wrong place) but cleaned it up and made necessary adjustments. They were perfect gentlemen and clearly knew what they were doing.

They came punctual on the date and time that we agreed. The promptly got to work and check the fireplaces. The most relevant part, was that they did not quote work that was not needed. If the fireplace was in good condition, they did not quote to perform unnecessary work, which I liked a lot. They performed the work swiftly, and even taught me how to turn on and off a pilot for a gas fireplace. Based on my experience, I would definitely use them again, based on their speed of work, and professionalism.

They originally came out at my request to clean our dyer vent, following a dryer repair by another company. Our dryer vent was actually dangerously short of code (a flexible, ribbed kind of mylar tube that was very long) and nearly completely clogged with flammable lint. They cleaned the vent as best they could, since it was not the traditional fixed, inflexible pipe, and went the extra mile to shore up the connection to the dryer. I schedule a second visit to replace the old vent, and found that once again their service was top notch and very reasonably priced. The amount listed that I spent includes both visits. Dryer works like a charm again, and no worries about a potentially dangerous vent.

We had an old gas log fire place that we never figured out how to use and finally called someone out to investigate. They had it on in about one minute! They also arranged the logs correctly and hung out to make sure it was working. Then they hung out and talked with us for awhile about how gas logs work and made sure we were comfortable with it and knew how to operate it. Felt silly at first but so glad we called them for the peace of mind and knowledge they shared. Great guys. Very professional, helpful, and friendly...funny too - we had some laughs and a nice visit. And to top it all off they charged a very very reasonable fee. About 10 minutes after, they called back to tell me something else they thought of...lot of people probably wouldn't have done that. Definitely will call them for any fire place needs I'll ever have and highly recommend them. Also highly recommend a call if you don't feel comfortable with your fire place situation and don't know much about them...it's worth it!

We live in a 1940s home and our previous fireplace had suffered over the years. The mantle showed extensive water damage and it showed structural damage and last but not least, the orange tiles covering the face of the fireplace were simply ugly. Atlanta Fireplace Specialists came in and totally revamped our fireplace. From the first meeting to the completion date they impressed us with their extensive knowledge, passion and excellent workmanship. They redid the entire face of our fireplace, the hearth, mantle and added a chimney cap. We couldn't be happier with the results - our new and improved fireplace turned out even better than we could have imagined. During the entire project, they made sure our hardwood floors were protected - and at the end of the job they did a great job cleaning up the work space. They went above and beyond on multiple occasions during this project - we would recommend their services to anyone.

They were very professional and customer oriented. When they found that the doors had been to the wrong size, they made every effort to expedite the remanufacture and did everything possible to keep us happy. My wife & I are very happy with the overall result and enthusiastically recommend Atlanta Fireplace Specialists. We will certainly use them again.
