Atlanta Chimney Worx

We purchased a deal on 11/15/14. On 11/16/14 the provider messaged us confirming purchase and asked about availability. That is the last we have heard from them even after sending several additional messages and calling and leaving voice mails and texts. We would like a refund because we feel like communication the company has provided reflects on what the service provided will be.

The owner, Arvydas, came out and did our chimney inspection/cleaning himself. Fortunately, he happened to be in my area and came out same-day. Not only was he prompt, but he also did an incredible job and left our house cleaner than when he arrived. There was no evidence he had ever been there, except that our fireplace looked better. He provided before and after pictures of our chimney and suggested an ongoing maintenance schedule. I would most certainly refer Atlanta Chimneyworx to anyone in need of their services.

This was my first ever chimney cleaning and I didn't know what to expect. Atlanta Chimney Worx walked me through the process and answered all my questions in a professional manner. They even took a flashlight and showed me what to look for up in my own chimney and corrected a small problem with the mounting of my flue handle making it hard to reach. I'd happily use ACW for future cleanings.

I received a message from the provider and I am out of their service area so I will be getting a refund. Their map said they covered my area, but apparently that wasnt so.

Found Chimney Worx on Angie's list with a good rating and a good price. Needed an inspection quickly to satisfy buyer prior to closing on the sale of our house. They worked us in the next day when I explained the situation. They did a good job cleaning the chimney and explained to our contractor the minor repairs that were needed. I would definitely use them again.

We've been doing it ourselves the hard way for years -- buckets in the fireplace, sheets hung to keep ash out of the house, the poor husband up on the roof with 20-ft long brushes. . . we should have done this a long time ago. They were in and out in no time, and the firebox was the cleanest I've seen it since we moved in 30 years ago.

Great job. He gave great information about using our fireplace and additional things that we could do to save money. We look forward to using the chimney cleaning service annually.

They wanted $30 dollars more to travel to me because I am outside of their area.

Atlanta Chimney Worx was amazing. Came over did the estimate and completed the work on schedule and on budget. Most important owner was thrifty in spending MY money. he did not recommend the most expensive product only the best. He discussed the process and new just what I wanted because he listened. Yesterday my new log set and chimney cap was installed. I could not be happier and I would recommend to my Friends and most important my family. Before they left they ran through the job with me and showed me everything that was done. Asking along the way about questions I may have. Thank you for the amazing job....I can check the box A+ without hesitation. Thank you.

Provider contacted me by e-mail with odd inquiry, "Is the residence address in your profile correct?" I never heard from them again. I suspect he sent the message only to comply with Angie's requirement that he contact me no later than 10/22. I am requesting a refund through Angie's List.

Great service and a great deal, who could ask for more? Cleaned and inspected my fireplace without a trace of mess anywhere! Would highly recommend them for service.

They came when scheduled and completed the inspection. Very careful to not get soot anywhere. Will use them again for cleaning the chimney when needed

It was excellent. They were extremely thorough, courteous, and professional. I was pleased with their cleanliness.

The company called me to set up a time to come out and clean the chimney. They were on time, quick and clean. They offer two options depending on what type of chimney you have for cleaning. I inadvertently purchased the wrong one for my type of chimney leaving a $20 discrepancy not in my favor. When they finished cleaning our chimney, he asked me how I wanted to handle the price difference then said hold on, let me see if I have a twenty in my wallet. Pulled out $20 from his own wallet and handed it to me! Now THATS service! Friendly and informative, I would recommend this company for your chimney issues.

The technician arrived, introduced himself, verified the services requested, set up and got to work. After he finished working, he cleaned up and then proceeded to explain what he did and showed me how to manipulate the damper and gas key. I was initially advised by the home inspector to get the damper replaced. AFter the cleaning I will be contacting them shortly to order a gas log set! Great company.

I was blown away with the outstanding service provided by Chimney Worx. They came in as I wanted to get a second opinion as to the safety of the chimney flue before burning wood in the fireplace. They also performed a very thorough chimney sweep. They recommended that wood should not be burned in the fireplace unless a flue lined was installed. They indicated that there was evidence of a flue fire and the integrity of the chimney may have been compromised. The thing that impressed me the most about Chimney Worx is that they were very professional in what they did but went the extra mile to make sure the chimney flue was free of soot and creosote. I had another company come in before Chimney Worx and do a inspection and chimney cleaning. I was blown away on how much soot and creosote was left behind by the other company. Chimney Worx did a fantastic job and completely removed the soot and creosote from the chimney. They removed nearly a 5 gallon bucket of debris from their chimney sweeping cleaning process. I would highly recommend them.

I called on Monday for a appointment to check the gas fireplace at our house, it hasn't been used for years and we just bought the house in the spring. Arvydas asked if he could stop by the same day to take a look! Never had that happen with a contractor before. Great, so he came over checked everything in detail inside and outside and made recommendation on what needs to be done. I didn't feel pressured or anything and was happy with the service and the knowledge that he presented. We ordered new logs and a part of the chimney had to be replaced. He came back Thursday to install and explain everything (he even called Tuesday to check if I was available on Wednesday already, but that didn't work for me). All in all we couldn't be more happier with the result. Glad we found this company! Great service and quality

It went great. He didn't try to talk me into buying anything I didn't need. (always a plus). He came and went straight to work. When he left, he left me confident in utilizing my fireplace. I intend to hire him next year for an annual inspection.

They were excellent! They were quick and efficient. The service techs were excellent.

Called Nov 8, 2013 to replace one old fireplace door and add a new door to second fireplace. He finally returned call 12/31/13. We had better prices from other installers on larger logs, but Arvydas talked us into logs inserts smaller than we wanted (30") with promises he could get the glass doors right away. The logs costs $950 plus extra $120 clean and rearrange existing second set of logs. The glass doors were $980. We were concerned about our grandchildren getting into fireplaces. The log electronic starter ($350) only worked once, we've tried replacing batteries but it won't work. We had to have another contractor repair the key hole so the older logs could be turned on. Over 10 calls and emails and months of waiting he kept making excuses why he couldn't instll the glass doors. Horrible customer service. He lied about the fireplace doors in order to sell us what he had available, not what we wanted. He got furious with me for bothering him when he refused to return emails or calls months after the jobs started but never finished. Other contractors didn't want to order glass doors without selling the logs too. We had squirrel in the house through the broken old glass doors he never installed. He refuses to answer all contacts and we are left with no doors and no working logs.

Arvydas was great. Highly professional. Extremely knowledge about hid craft. We will be engaging him to convert the wood burning fireplace to gas.

We had been having an issue with an old chimney top. They helped to determine the issue and gave us a fast turn around on repairing it. Very polite and helpful.

It went pretty well. I loved the gas logs. It is very easy to use. I got it as soon as I made the big deal purchase. They gave me a call. They said when they were going to come out. They finished installing it and they were very quick & professional. They answered any questions that I have. They were good. I have actually recommended them to other people and I don't do that very often. It was a pretty good deal.
