Aryvdas did an excellent job repairing our chimney's outer brickwork and installing a wood stove. He was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We look forward to having him come out for chimney cleaning.

The guys did a great job, no surprises. They ran the line from the source to the location I wanted on the deck. They checked and made sure grill lit and heated to specification, explained the process and answered all questions.

I wanted to have my fireplace in my 100 yr old home safe for burning wood. The work Arvydas proposed was installing a stainless steel liner in the flue with top damper in the main fireplace, repair firebox, pointing chimney and crown, and installing a chimney cap, with a price of $3900. The day before work was scheduled to begin Arvydas notified me that he made another inspection and found that the masonry work needed on the chimney was more extensive than originally proposed and that the firebox brick were not fire brick; Therefore the price would be more like $5000. I was glad that he was able to ascertain the additional expense before beginning work. I had not budgeted for the higher amount and so decided it was best to not proceed, and to re-think my goal of having a functional main fireplace for wood burning-which may be aesthetically. pleasing but is not actually eco- friendly I have no doubt that Arvydas's work would have been top-notch, given his knowledge and experience.

He was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. Estimated costs to remove woodstove and educated us on pur very old home.

Arvydas is a fantastic craftsman. He knows everything about fireplaces and masonry. He's professional, responsive, does an excellent job, and takes pride in his work. He takes the time to explain everything to you. He's not looking to upsell you. His prices are extremely fair. I've had him out to my house when no one was home, I trust him and have used him on several occasions dating back a few years. Highly recommend!

Arvydas Didas measured the chimney and installed the cap about a week later. Got everything done well before closing and the cap is beautiful. I was able to pay with a credit card over the phone and received the receipt and a copy of the invoice the same day. Great service!

Initial inspection reveled that it's not going to be easy or cheap to get it done, hence the house it old and chimney was not being used, not it had a chimney cap = water damage :( We opted out to get the gas line ran to the fireplace and fire stones installed ! We also got a custom built chimney cap installed to protect our investment. Everything was done in little bit more than half of the day, which I think was great. Chimney cap was built prior and installed on the same day. I am very happy with the services and outcome of the project. I will definitely recommend them to anyone needing help with fireplace.

This project went extremely well. The gas line on my fireplace was never installed correctly when it was rebuilt years ago and I wasn't able to connect it to my new pan burner. Arvydas was incredible. I needed a real problem solver to engineer a solution for me, and he did just that. He was able to run a new gas line from my fireplace down to my basement, connect it, and add a new shutoff valve that was reachable (the old one was out of reach). Once he got the gas line installed, he came up with a plan to connect the line to my pan burner so all of the controls would be hidden. He even painted some of the components black to match my firebox, and touched up areas of the firebox that got scratched during installation of the new gas line. I highly recommend Arvydas. He's contientious, creative, solution-oriented and an expert in his field.

I am a homeowner not a general contractor. I renovated the roof of my leaking house and that's when I found out that I needed to fix the fireplace. Originally I planned to fix the chimney that is shorter under the new configuration. I brought in several contractors and asked them each to give me a proposal in September. I received several quotes and Mr. Didas provided one. It turned out all the quotes proposed to use the similar fireplace (same price). I asked around their service differences that Mr. Didas had given me a detailed explanation. After that I proceed with him. Clearly, like any other contractor, Mr. Didas wanted to start the work ASAP. I worried about the rainy weather during that time, so I delayed several times. Mr. Didas went along with it. Eventually, when I found out a good time, it was on Saturday. Given it was a short notice, and he was on another job, he couldn't make it. My time was tight too. So he decided to come on Sunday instead. He came in on time and did all the demolition and installation as promised. I am a homeowner and engineer by training, so I asked a lot of questions (maybe naive) when he's working. I found out his answers are always straightforward, sometimes blunt, but no hidden detail. Most importantly, he's a careful guy and detailed oriented. After work, he picked up all the debris. Since he's a one-person company, it's understandable to not discuss with him on the phone for too long. So I always message him of the question. He answered when he had time. Other than that, he delivered what he promised.

My gas logs would light but would go out immediately. I looked at Angie's List and found Atlanta Chimney Worx and made an appointment. Mr. Didas was able to come the same afternoon. He brought a can of spray and a blanket to keep my carpet clean. It only took a few moments for him to have the gas logs going perfectly. He explained what he had done and told me how to take care of this situation if I should have the same problem again.. Mr.. Didas is very knowledge, polite and there was no need for me to clean up afterward. If we need service on our gas logs in the future, I would definitely call Atlanta Chimney Worx again.

Angie's list did not give refund. The gentleman called one morning and said that the would be in the area that morning and could come do the house that day, without an additional charge. It was not convenient for me and I was unable to have the service performed on such short notice. He said he would call back when he was back in my area. I have not heard from him since that call. I am very disappointed in his professionalism and in the fact that he is listed on Angie's list. Total waste of money!

I called on a Monday to schedule an appointment to repair a leak in my chimney. He said he could come on Friday and would call me to let me know when he was on his way. He never called, never showed up. I left a voicemail and tried calling his number again. He has not returned my calls. I wasted a week waiting for him, meanwhile it rained again and now I have more water in my chimney.

Nice, professional service. He was helpful in responding to all questions and to doing all the work on the same visit.

We wanted some gas logs but were perplexed by the seeming complexity of ordering them when we'd talked to other companies in the past. Arvydas made it easy, though. He told us how to measure the fireplace insert and where to look for the insert information. He then gave us a website with all of our options and once we had decided, quoted us a price and arranged a time for installation. The entire cost was $750 installed and included a pilot control. We had asked for a chimney cleaning if necessary, but he said that our chimney was clean and did not need it, which was nice.

I paid for this and was eager to get the gas fireplace. I emailed with him and told him I did not have a gas line to the fireplace and he said he could do that too for an additional charge. I told him I would happily pay for him putting in the gas line. If he did not want to do it I would have a different company put in the gas line but he said he did this all the time. He said he was very busy because he got more responses than expected. We emailed a few time to try to set a date. Then he never got back to me and did not respond to my emails. I still expected him to do the work because he agreed to do the work. I finally called Angie's list and asked for a refund and they told me that it was too late to get a refund. Note that the date is approximate since the work was not performed, I had to put in a date to submit the review.
