Atlanta Chimney Worx

Chimney is larger than allowed with Angie's List offer; I had to pay extra. Work was professionally done; overall an excellent job other than the unexpected price.

First, I usually am not so moved by a service provider to write a review. However, this guy Arvydas Didas really is a good guy, a true professional. He contacted me right away, a time was selected for service (chimney sweeping & inspection), he came on time and did the job right. He was friendly. He left my fireplace spotless and I was totally pleased with his work. I intend to use his service in the future for a really big job too.

I contacted the owner at 5pm Monday. He said he could be out the next day to install my new logs. He showed up when he was supposed to do repaired the pipes and burner and installed the logs. great job, nice product, wonderful value.

Overall I am extremely satisfied with the work done by Arvydas. He was prompt, very competent, attentive to details, and explained workings of the fire logs and what he did to install them. He carefully covered the flooring near where he would be working and removed all materials leaving the area very thoroughly clean. Initially, I called because I had several masonry projects on which I needed advice and was getting myself a little crazy not knowing if the projects were doable. He quickly responded to my request for help, listened carefully and then answered questions and gave thoughtful advice. One of the projects was to install gas logs. Now that that's done, hopefully, I'll soon be able to move on to other projects and call him for those as well. Thanks to Arvydas I feel I'm getting back on track with my long list of home renovations!

After getting estimates from a couple other companies, we called Arvydas. The other estimates were sky high and involved a lot more than was actually needed. Arvydas came right out when we called and gave a much more reasonable estimate. He was able to do the work right then and we no longer have to worry about our chimney. Thanks Arvydas for doing such as incredible job for us!!

Overall, he was very professional, reasonably priced and flexible with his time. We contacted him on a Thursday. He came out on Friday to assess the problem, caulk the cracks and measure the chimney. He finished making the chimney cap over the weekend and installed it on a Monday after we got home from work.

He arrived right on time. He was very professional (and had a good sense of humor). He got right to the job. No mess at all. We were very pleased. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing a chimney cleaning and inspection.

When Chimney Worx came out he fully inspected both chimneys and explained the physics and what was likely causing the smoke backdraft. We will have him replace the chimney caps next spring! A great guy to work with!

Mr Didas contacted me very promptly and an appointment was made. He arrived timely and was very professional in his approach. He took the time to explain what he was going to do. I was very satisfied with his work and will contact him when it is time to replace the chimney cap. He took the measurement while he was examining it and so upon my phone call he will order it without having to come back out to the house to measure. I would recommend him.

Arvydas contacted me shortly after placing my order for the chimney sweeping service. He was very flexible on scheduling a time to come to my home to do the work. He accommodated my after 5:00 PM service request and I was appreciative of that. He did run a little late but did call to explain so that was okay. He made sure to be neat as he vacuumed the chimney. It didn't take long at all. When he finished he told me what he would recommend regarding maintenance and repair. My house was built in 1930 so the mortar is basically turning to sand. (Oh, he does charge extra for a brick and mortar chimney). He even took pictures and showed me what my chimney looked like on the inside. Overall, it was a good experience and I will definitely use Arvydas again should the need arise.

Called Atlanta Chimney Worx on a Sunday afternoon, and they came out within an hour or so. They quickly assessed and fixed the problem and even though it wasn't on the original work order fixed a small issue I was having with another appliance. Definitely recommend using them again.

The service was awesome. They contacted me and were prompt and very efficient. He cleaned the chimneys and then provided me with not only some very competitive pricing on my needed repairs but also prioritized the repairs that were needed making the distinction between needed repairs and cosmetic upgrades. He also provided me with estimates on some cosmetic upgrades to the fire places. There was no sales pressure at all and he was very honest.I plan to use this company in the future and would recommend them without hesitation.

He was only supposed to come out to give an estimate and ended up doing some work to help us out in the short term. I am very pleased by the level of professionalism but also with the customer service. It is rare to find someone who seems more concerned with fixing the problem than making a quick buck. I knew that the rain pan was rusted and at the last hard rain I could tell it was beginning to leak. I checked with Angie's list for chimney repair and picked three. Atlanta Chimney Worx was my choice due to promptness of reply and frankly because I had a good feeling. Arvydas came out, measured and returned the next day to install. His charge was $10 less than the original estimate. Prompt, polite and a nice guy. How could it get any better than that?

Found them on Angies List, called and they ordered the parts, then called me immediately. They were able to come the same day. It took less than an hour to fix the problem. My grill is like brand new again. Excellent service.

Arvydas helped me out, in a big way. I originally hired him to replace a gas fire starter and chimney sweep. As it turned out, my water heater died the same day he was here to work on my chimneys. I noticed, on Angie's List, that he had done some water heater work for others. I was desperate. He was here. I wasn't sure what to expect. He rocked it! He met me the next day, after work, to do the install. He stayed until after 9pm to complete. He was neat (it was a messy job), efficient, and handled installing the new water heater as if it was what he did everyday. I felt the work he did was superb and the price was beyond fair. The chimneys were given the same level of service. And, he cleaned my dryer vent too. It was so clogged, it looked like birds were nesting in it. New fire starter was installed and looks great. Thanks Arvydas! Why can't all professionals be just like you?

Overall it went well. I had a Big Deal for chimney cleaning. Needed repairs were also done outside on the chimney as well.

Excellent experience. Punctual, professional and thorough and clean job. Discovered hole in our siding where squirrels and water may be entering Just gave good advice and did not try pushy sales techniques.

purchased the fireplace inspection off of Angie's List. We were preparing to rent out our house and wanted to make sure that the fireplace was safe. Avrydas came out and did a complete inspection of the fireplace, gas line, and chimney. Our gas line had rusted through feeding our gas log burner. He thoroughly explained the options(repair or new gas line). He provided me with a quote for both a couple of days later. He was very patient in scheduling the work. We had placed tenants in the house and had to coordinate the work with them. After he exposed the gas line in the bottom of the fire box, we saw that the damage was quite extensive. A new gas line would be needed. I was still hoping to repair what we had but it would have required dismantling half of the hearth with no guarantee that we wouldn't continue to find pipes that were rusted through. He patiently exposed some more of the gas line "just to see" if repair was still possible which it wasn't. He quickly changed from repair to installing a new gas line.And thanks to him including both in his quote, we already knew what to expect for cost. Due to the configuration of the existing gas line from its source into our house, he was able to run much less new pipe which I liked better but made the job significantly more difficult for him. He was friendly, worked quickly and was happy to answer any questions that I had. He was very conscientious in his work. He laid down drop clothes around the fire place and under the area where he had to cut access to the ceiling. He kept his entire work area neat and tidy. He was very friendly and had no problem with our tenants pets, who at times attempted to help him. For both appointments(inspection and repair), he initially setup a window for when he would arrive. On the day of the appointments, he kept me informed about his specific arrival time. He had to cut a 3.5" square in the ceiling when running the new pipe. Before he left, my tenants and I agreed that between us we would fix it. Depite that, Arvydas called me a couple of days later when he was in the area to see if I wanted him to repair it. Our fireplace looks terrific. Our tenants even commented on how wonderful it looked and that they were looking forward to using it. I would not hesitate to use Arvydas again!

I signed up for the Big Deal with Atlanta Chimney Worx and I received a quick response from Arvydas who promptly scheduled a date and time to come by and clean my chimney. When I told Arvydas about the smell coming from the fireplace, he instantly knew what it was and what to do. He cleaned the chimney and fixed the damper so it closes tightly now. The smell is gone and everything works great! It was a very fast and easy transaction and I would highly recommend Atlanta Chimney Worx.
