Set up the appointment. The gal walked me through the process of getting on-line for her to assist in 'tuning up' my computer. It froze up. She said, wait a few hours and try this. Nothing. She did this several times and I actually had to communicate to her via another device because my computer was still frozen. She said wait overnight and 'see what happens'. Again, nothing. My computer was useless. I contacted HP directly and they were able to get me back up and running. I communicated to the ATR tech support of this. She said, well, I won't count this as using your purchase, if you have another computer that needs tuning, we can use the Coupon code toward that computer. Are you kidding me?? I wouldn't touch this company with a 10 foot pole.

Excellent job! He spent 4 hours cleaning the crap out of my computer, and it made quite a difference. Thank you!

CHIP CALLED ON TIME AND TOOK OVER MY COMPUTER AND SEEMED VERY PROFESSIONAL> HE CLEANED UP THE COMPUTER AND DID SOME OTHER THINGS AND WANTED TO MAKE SURE I WAS PLEASED WITH HIS WORK.

That was adequate. They take control of your computer. It needed a tune up it was running pretty slow. They did an adequate job. I may not use them again because I prefer other people, not for anything negative on their part. It is because I prefer to be on site and that way, you can sit next to the other person and ask questions as opposed to when somebody has got remote control. I just rather sit next to a person that comes to my house and ask them my dumb questions and get may be get a little smarter in the process. A lot of companies prefer the remote process because they don't have to travel. It makes perfect sense from their perspective and not from the customers perspective.

Spencer Alexander spent just over an hour doing a remote internet computer clean up checking for potential malware, viruses and operating issues from his location in Atlanta Georgia. He found no issues above, but did state in a speed test of my internet that it was below the average. He advised me to contact my internet provider, which is AT&T. I did so and my download speed was fine, but the upload speed was below acceptable range. AT&T stated that it was problem with my Modem, so they are sending me a new Modem to correct the upload speed under performance. Thanks to Spencer Alexander at Alexander Technical Resources for denoting this problem. He also rid us of the repeated problem we were having. It was an error message we kept getting in restarting from sleep mode called: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED(ia.StorA.sys) The above error message no longer pops up. Sincerely, Andrew Strigos

Spencer did a great job. He cleaned up my computer remotely and he was very good at explaining what was going to be done. He gave me some recommendations on security programs and installed AVG which is a free program. I previously had one that I paid for and it was slowing down my computer. It took about 4 hours. My laptop is working much better now.

Technician was professional and pleasant. Procedure took an hour or so. Outcome was disappointing. Computer continued to process slowly.

The gentleman walked me through the initial start then I was free to do whatever. I was told it would likely be 2-4 hours and he would call my cell when done. I was amazed as it took him over 5 hours (old computer and in great need of help). There was no extra charge, he was helpful, polite and wrapped it all up for me. He also gave me some valuable information about next steps in computer needs. Wonderful experience. My computer is working so much faster and better.

I purchased a promotional certificate from Angie's List. Alexander Tech sent me an email immediately, inviting me to call them and schedule an appointment. My call was answered immediately and the appointment set within a matter of days. I was told who would be handling my service, and how I would be contacted. At my appointment time I received an email and phone call instructing me how to proceed with remote access for Alexander Tech. From that point on, about 4 hours, I did nothing. I could observe the tech, Thomas, taking my computer through a series of scans and tests. At the end of session, Thomas called me and explained that he was finished with my computer. He stated that some malware was present, but nothing malicious. He also cleaned up some odds and ends with various files. They also made certain that all of my operating systems and virus protection were up to date and operating efficiently & effectively. I was very impressed and pleased that I was able to have my computer serviced remotely, and by such a highly rated company for a very reasonable price. I do understand that the price I paid was a promotion. However, in the future should I have an issue, I will most assuredly contact them! My computer is running faster, with less "glitches". I am very pleased with not having to take my computer to a "big box store" for service...time and loss of access. I would highly recommend this service to anyone having computer/technical issues.

It went very well for the pc. I would have given them a higher rating in terms of quality but the gal, who was very nice, really had no experience with macs. It was frustrating. I think only folks with some expertist should be working on the macs. My mac still won't respond well. I have thought of contacting them, but don't want to be spending another $100 !!

Service was very prompt and professional. Unfortunately, the technician could not resolve my issue. I ended up taking my computer to a supplier locally who was able to resolve the issue I was having with my computer.

I dealt with Spencer and he was great. He answered the questions I had, really improved how the computer worked, and actually put in some additional time without charging me extra. I took advantage of the Angie List promotion which had him working on my computer for nearly 5 hours even though the promotion was only suppose to cover 4 hours. I would both recommend this company and use them again if I have any future problems with a computer.

He insisted on knowing my address which is my home, and when we disagreed on whether he needed it or not after I gave him my email address and was going to setup a conference call line to talk, he wrote this (the exchange happened over Angie's List messaging): "...Your paranoia apparently has no extent. 1800 positive reviews and you have to believe that we are somehow evil and abusive towards you. Maybe you should seek some professional help." I cut and pasted that from his last message to me. Why it turned personal I have no idea.

Performed a remote access tune up of the pc using a variety of software tools and some manual adjustments. Our bookmarks were supposedly not to be affected but they got messed up anyway. Fortunately I had them backed up with Firefox sync so we were ok.

I had just purchased a brand new Dell laptop because my existing laptop was fairly old and running very slow. Once I got the new one up and running I found it was no faster than my old computer. I began to suspect that when I transferred all my files from my old computer to my new one, I had inadvertently moved over some virus or corrupt files(s) that was causing my problem. Alexander Technical Resources took control of my computer, remotely, and for about three or four hours ran a bazillion diagnostic programs searching for problems. In the end he didn't really find anything of significance. A few unnecessary files which he deleted but no viruses or other issues that would cause my computer to be slow. The technician did say, however, he noticed I was running McAfee anti virus software. It came already installed on my computer so I just kept it. He further stated McAfee has a lot of stuff constantly running in the background on your computer as part of their security apparatus. A number of people had reported they found this caused their computers to run slower and suggested I might try removing McAfee and installing another anti virus program and see if that helps. I Googled McAfee removal tool, ran the program to remove McAfee and installed another anti virus program. The result: my computer seems to run a little faster without McAfee than it did with it. Just as an aside, I also started using Mozilla as my internet browser instead of internet explorer 11 and that greatly increased my internet browsing speeds. FYI.

They did a fantastic job. The computer is working great now!!!!

this was performed by appointment, over the internet, where special software was used to look into, and scan my computer, to safely clean, and remove years of computer flies, and other accumulated trash. he talked with me over the phone and explained everything he was doing, and I could see it on my screen, while he was working. it has invigorated my machine again ! he gives good advice, and is good at what he does.

Great. Thomas was very patient with me, listened to all my concerns and helped me understand what I needed to do. He ran diagnostics on my computer and it now runs great!

They did what they said they would do. But they didn't tell what I had a problem with. So, I won't use them again. There were no additional charges. They went ahead and tuned up my computer, but they didn't fix the problem that I was having.

Communication was excellent. Spent about 6 hours to complete the computer clean up on my laptop. The gentleman was very responsive. Highly recommend them!

I am sorry but the details would take a lot of my time. HOWEVER - I need to say that this Provider is a tremendous value for the money. NOTHING trumps having a computer working - in contrast with not working. These people are Professionals and will remedy whatever situational problems you are having with your computer. In my case, they did a very welcomed follow-up and simply put - They Take Care of Their Customers!

I was told I would get a call around 2:00 pm. to start the clean up. After not getting a call by 3:00 pm, I called them. The person who answered, said he would do the service, and he did. Understanding that you don't have to sit at your computer as the service is being performed, ( 2-4 hours) I expexted a call when the service was finished. Did not get one. I'm satisfied with the actual service performed on my laptop, not so much with customer service.

Great experience. They remotely take control of your computer and do all the work. Have used them in the past and will use them again if needed. Highly recommend, especially for the technology challenged.

I was experiencing problems with my wireless network adapter for quite a while when I finally decided to contact someone about it. I found Alexander Technical Resources on Angie's List and contacted them explaining my problem. Their technician Thomas went into my computer remotely and did a tuneup and clean up. The whole thing took over four hours, part of the problem being that Tom would lose the connection due to my unstable network adapter. But we managed to work through it and since the work has been completed the network adapter problem seems to be fixed. Tom also removed some malware that I was unaware of and generally cleaned everything up. The system runs much faster now. I would use Alexander Technical Services again.

The technician told me only after the fact that it would be difficult to access and scan Windows 10. I had to move the laptop from my desk and connect it directly to my Verizon router. That was OK, but I didn't check on the battery storage until after I got a phone call saying that the scan had been interrupted. The battery had died. We reran the scan from the beginning. I had asked that the technician particularly address a problem that I was having with Java Script. When we "debriefed" the technician told me that I was getting a favor because he would not charge me for the extra hours connected with the re-scan for Windows 10. The Java Script problem has returned and I now get a strange "disk warning" when I boot up. I called and asked for a follow-up, which I'd been promised. I have not received a follow-up as of four days later. Perhaps customers only get one "favor" per job. The computer runs marginally faster now. I don't feel like I wasted $99 but I'm not entirely clear what I got for it, either.
