Description of Work: A virus attacked my computer on Sunday, and I spent all day on the phone with techs in Poland and India, one for my company (I work from home and the computer is my lifeline), one from the computer manufacturer. Neither could help me (and HP charged me $100 to renew my warranty - a complete waste of money). In desperation, on Monday I turned to Angie's List and found Spencer Alexander the highest rated troubleshooter listed. I called Spencer's number and connected with him in less than two hours. With infinite patience, he ran remote tests on my computer, and put in about three hours wrestling with the virus, a species nobody had encountered before. He figured out how to get it off my system, and did so. My computer runs better than ever. His hourly rate is very reasonable, especially considering he saved my livelihood. Plus he applied the Angie's List discount. He is now my go-to guy for all computer problems, and I recommend his service without reservation.

Description of Work: He worked on my computer a little more than 90 minutes. I had a virus and trojan scare. Spencer scanned and tuned-up my computer and did a follow-up today (June 24) to help me (technically challenged) install my anti-virus software and do some goofy things that were making me crazy and he zoomed around and fixed it all. He's fast, been doing it since a kid; he's personable and he's fair. I'm going to have him do a 6 month checkup. All the angie reports I read about him led me in the right direction. Thanks Spencer! Description of Work: I first called ATT in Dec. ATT came out to hook up 2 puters onto one router. Totally messed up my computer in all kinds of settings etc. Charged me 299.00 and it wasn't even hooked up right.Could not use both puters at all. It was supposed to be a professional hookup with the router. NOT ..Fighting since Dec. Still not showing any signs of fixing what they started. Sooo. I Contacted Spencer(Praise God) today, he took over my computer and got it up and running and working like it should. The router must be done by ATT, but after listening to the conversations between Spencer and the men from ATT (They are really pathetic)I doubt if they even know how, I will be cancelling and going with another company. As for Spencer the greatest!!!!!Whiz kid and did he let them know just what was needed, they were speechless when speaking to a person who knows more than they.He cleaned my computer of a lot of garbage. Also it was badly infected. all gone . It is not shutting off everytime I change sites. He has made a lifelong customer.HOPE its a long time since I am 82

Fantastic service and follow up!
Description of Work: My computer was virtually useless and Spencer came in and cleaned up a mess! I feel like I have a new laptop again and totally appreciated the dial-in service. He linked into my harddrive and fixed this 1 yr old laptop within a couple of hours. It wasn't cheap but I definitely got what I paid for... and then some! HIGHLY recommend this guys services...

Description of Work: Spencer fixed a bad virus on my derll laptop. I found him on Angie's List and called the toll free number about 9:00 pm. I was shocked when he answered the phone and then showed great patience and skill in fixing the problem. He fixed the virus and then cleaned the rest of my files. Very impressive and I would sure recommend him.

In response to the member's report I would like to say that I clearly remember the client and the second appointment. Our appointment schedule shows almost 2 months between appointments. I spent 2 days working with the member through e-mail trying to help him solve his router problems at no cost to him. In the end, he was unable to correct his problem on his own and we had to come out to assist him. In my experience, If a client has problems with a router that has been working fine for 2 months, then I truly believe that our company was not at fault for the problems the member was experiencing. We came to his home office and solved his problems. Those problems did NOT involve any port related issues. I believe that his equipment is working perfectly today, which is now several months later. The member stated that he was quite pleased with our work when we left I do not know what more we could have done to make him happy. The member also sent us an e-mail the following day trying to get our company as a client for his company which handles small business taxes and Estate planning. We were actually interested in using the member's services but had been in the process of reviewing his company on the BBB and other business review websites and have failed to find any information, positive or negative. I guess if we had to rate the member as a customer, we would have to give him a "C" grade as well.
