STANFIELD AIR SYSTEMS

Called Wednesday morning and was scheduled for Friday morning. The technician called later Wednesday to say he was on his way! We were thrilled! It was 85 degrees in the house! Took him less than 15 minutes to diagnosis the problem. He didn't have the exact replacement but had a better one with a 5-year warranty instead of the regular with a 1-year warranty. It cost more but we didn't care. Very professional, friendly and clean-cut guy. We purchased a maintenance agreement while we were at it. That was another $168 and includes two visits for the year to check everything out, along with 15% discount and no extra charge for weekend trips. It don't get no better than this! On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being best, Stanfield is definitely a full 10 in my book!

No issues, replaced both units and did some black pipe work for some natural gas appliances as well. In and out in less than a day.

iHe was an hour late, I had to call him, when he showed up, he immediately looked at our 11 year old unit and started talking about a new unit. After checking it out, he told me it would be $7,000 to replace with Lennox unit and that he could have me talk to their sales person, but that person was booked up and it might take a few days. This was high pressure sales tactics of the worst kind. I challenged his price, told him I was not in a hurry and he started back pedaling. Indicated they can buy any brand I want, but often don't get the best prices so I should really think about Lennox. I was so put off I jumped on the internet and found a website that sends quotes from vendors in the area and had 3 significantly lower bids in an hour. I will never call them again.

They were quick and responsive, but initially did only a small part of what was actually agreed ahead of time. Once they were called, checked their inventory, and realized their error they came back the following week and completed the job in another 2 days. If it had all been done at the first visit I would have given an A, but to be fair they quickly accepted their error and corrected. I would use them again, and I would recommend them to others.

I didn't go with them, the price was too high.

They were very prompt. Not very personable but did the job exactly as it was explained on the phone. Cleaned up after themselves and were very polite. Price was excellent. (I had called around.) I would hire them again.

Item was inspected and repairs were made but another part was necessary. Provider secured part and the job was completed two days later. The house is now nice and cool. I was not there to meet the provider but my son said everything was fine and the house is nice and cool now.

The serviceman was prompt, courtesy and immediately found out what the problem was and explained what happened and what needed to be replaced. He told me up front have much it would cost and what I could do to keep this from happening again and service my unit for the winter so I wouldn't have to have him come back. I recommend them for any heating and air service.

I couldn't have been more pleased. The two men arrived as scheduled. They replaced my 20 year old Lennox AC units with this years Lennox model. They stated that it would be done that day. We have a two story house with the master bedroom upstairs and without AC in the summer it's not exactly livable. The upstairs unit was finished by noon and the downstairs was done by four in the afternoon. What was icing on the cake was the efficiency of the new units. The upstairs went from 2.5 ton to a 3 ton unit. In the evening it required about 2.5 hours to bring the upstairs down from 74 to 69 where we like to sleep. The new unit require less than 1.5 hours to do the same job. In addition, with the new Lennox thermostat the unit anticipates the turn down and the unit engages early and has the bedroom at 69 when we usually go to bed at 10PM.

I would highly recommend Stanfield Air to anyone in the Athens, Georgia area. My husband and I just moved here from a different state and are thankful our realtor recommended Stanfield Air for our duct cleaning work. Reading their reviews on Angie's List made Stanfield Air the obvious choice. Also, I appreciated how honest their pricing was. They charge a base fee plus a fee for each vent/register cleaned. This made it easy to calculate the total cost before scheduling their work, and there were no hidden fees. Plus it eased our minds knowing that Mitch was working for a set price instead of by the hour, so it didn't matter if he encountered difficulties with the duct work or if we asked for information to be repeated, as it was one set fee no matter how long the job took.

Conveniently a service technician was able to come the same day I called to report my furnace was not working. He inspected the furnace and located the items in need of repair. He repaired the furnace. I also signed up for a service agreement. The technician came out at a later date to do some additional maintenance on the system.

It was fine. Their demeanor was good. The price was reasonable.

I do wish they could have done all the work in 1 visit, especially since I told them about the vent not blowing during my initial call. They weren't prepared to really look at that on the first visit. They charged me to run the camera down the duct, which I think should have been included in the initital diagnostic fee. Otherwise, they did a good job. My A/C hasn't been on since because of the cooler temperatures we've had lately but the broken vent is was working when they left. I have not gotten a final bill yet.

I have used 3 different heating and AC companies in Athens, and SAS are the best of the 3 I have used. I started using Stansfield because I bought a house where the previous owner had a PM contract on the HVAC system with them. In general they have always been courteous (good bedside manner) and call when they are on the way. They also take the time to really explain problems. On this occasion they came out at 6:00PM on a Friday night to do some warranty work (to replace a bad blower). It was work they probably could have left to Monday but they made sure that is got done before the weekend.

Stanfield Air Systems did an excellent job and we would definitely use them again. Because of the age of the house ( 1870's) and the fact that all the work had to be done in the attic it was a very messy job. As one might expect, the ceiling ended up looking pretty nasty as a result of all the work. Stanfield hired painters to come in and re-paint the ceiling. This was way over and above what we expected and was much appreciated. We also very much appreciated the company's attention to detail. Initially, after the airconditioner was installed, we were a little disappointed because it seemed rather noisy. Rex Coker, Stanfield's services manager, came by himself and did some adjusting to reduce the noise.

The experience with Stanfield Air Systems was excellent. I cannot say enough good about them. They went above and beyond. The people were super to deal with. They explained very clearly what will be done and they did everything they said they would do. They gave us a choice of several systems, we picked the one that we want and they let us make the decision. All of their service poeple work directly for them, no contractors. The price was not the cheapest but also not the most expensive.

They did a very neat job and even insulated the base of the furnace and moved the condensate pump to a more convenient place. Also they cleaned up the basement floor where the condensate had leaked out on the floor and left a calcium deposit.

It was a great experience. When I bought my system the service calls were built into it and are already paid for. They are local and every contact I have had with this company have been prompt, respectful, very professional, nice and polite and well spoken. I feel very comfortable having them in my house. When I was deciding on my system the fellow who came out showed me five different systems and gave me information on each system and I was able to make an intelligent decision. He didn't tell me what to chose but I felt I had good information. They came out and installed the unit in about five hours. I also had to have my air ducts cleaned and they came out and cleaned everything in about two hours. They do good work.

We always use them because they're great. They've been the company that has always serviced our air conditioner and when we bought this house, the builder put in a compressor that was too small for it, so we had a lot of problems. We thought it was because we were using the air pump for providing heat and air, but it had nothing to do with that, it had to do with the size of the unit. So when Stanfield came out to check the unit they discovered that and, ever since we've gotten a unit that's appropriate for the size of the house we've had no problems with our heating and air. That was good to discover and they were the ones who found that out for us. Then, underneath the house is really inaccessible, and that's where the air filters needed to be changed. So every time we had to change an air filter we had to get under there, but they had one that only needs to be changed once a year so that's convenient. We don't have to worry about it. We're very pleased with it. We always call them and they come, so we don't have to wait a lot. I think their price is comparable to other people who do the same kind of work. Everything that we've had done here is successful.

Stanfield Air installed our new HVAC system several years ago, and have consistently provided prompt, courteous & professional service in our experience. They inspect, maintain and change filters for us annually and also make recommendations for related services as they see the need.

Very well. Placed call to them, and they were out to do the work within a day. Very professional and thorough in explaining the problems with our old unit. Offered suggestions and several alternatives. Got quotes from 3 other providers, and Stanfield is certainly in the running for our new equipment and service contract. We are using them on another site as well, and are pleased with our contract.

Air conditioning quit working (air was coming out, but it wasn't cool). Called on a Thursday (it was 85 degrees in my house) and they initially said they couldn't make it until Monday. I scheduled the appointment and later that morning they said they could fit me in that afternoon.The technician arrived when promised and quickly diagnosed a bad compressor. He had the part with him and made the repair immediately. From arrival to repair the whole thing took less than 20 minutes -- and less than $200. Win-win!
