David and his associate were called to fix what I thought was an irrigation system leak. It turned out to be a break in the main water line running to our house. The leak was repaired and the irrigation system valve box checked for any damage. The service was excellent and very professionally done

Look no further. When's the last time you met an honest and friendly contractor? Dave and his crew were extremely responsive and checked the system over and offered the quick and easy fix the system needed rather than proposing to replace a bunch of equipment that worked just fine. I'm having him come back to rezone the backyard after we do some landscaping.

I contacted David Robertson after our front yard was dug up to replace a septic field. The irrigation system was destroyed at that time. As soon as the septic work was complete he was out here with a crew to estimate the work that needed to be done and started immediately. We have used Ecosystems before and will continue to use them. Prompt, professional, and very good at what they do.

We call them out when we need them. We have been using them on and off for 2-3 years. They are super nice. They are responsvie, although they are very busy sometimes. They are very knowledge too.

This is the guy to call. He really knows what he's doing.

Everything went exactly as planned and hoped. After agreeing to terms and contract signing, a time was scheduled and the work was completed in two days. They came out on Tuesday and did most of the work, then came on Wednesday and finished. In total we had 5 different zones installed, and if I didn't know they'd had to dig up my yard to install the equipment, I wouldn't have even noticed that it had happened. After the completion of work on the second day, David walked me through the system, where the shutoff valves are, and how everything comes together. A top notch experience from beginning to end and I'm thrilled with how quickly and efficiently the work was done.

Called David to schedule services for repair -- as it was a busy time for him, we were 2.5 weeks out from the first visit. During the first visit, David and crew assessed the current situation, remembered being out here before, and asked a lot of questions so as to be very clear on what work I was requesting and how to handle issues should they arise. They then started troubleshooting the situation...found 2 of the 3 zones control boxes and needed to fix each with new replacement parts. They then spent several hours trying to find the third zone control in the front yard to no success. They called it a day once the other two zones were fixed and scheduled time to come out another day. Several days to a week later, David and team spend a good 2-3 hours again trying to find the third zone control to no success. David called me out and explained to me what my options were. As they couldn't find any of the existing zone equipment, they had to dig trenches and lay new piping across the entire front yard. This was done in an hour or two, but left my yard completely torn up in the middle of the summer. Now that we're headed into fall, I'm finally able to get my lawn aerated and seeded so that hopefully by next spring it may get back to how my yard looked earlier this spring. Pricing for the work completed was reasonable, but the timing and circumstances of my particular situation were bizarre. David was extremely knowledgeable and nice enough, and the quality of work seems solid.

David emailed me back, told me he was very busy but to send him an email with my needs and address. I sent the details with no response. Assuming I had the wrong email, I resent and asked for confirmation the email was received. I received a one word "yes" answer, without any timetable on when I would hear back. I made it clear the ball was in his court. Its been three weeks with no response. I'm amazed at the lack of professionalism.

I previously used David on a repair and he was great. I had another issue that came up in June that I needed repaired. I tried contacting David three of four different times over a two week period, including through Angie's list, his website and phone and never got a response. Since I really liked him the first time, I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt with it being the summer and maybe being on vacation, but to not get a response after contacting that many times over a two week period with it now being almost a month later is just not professional. In regards to provider's response: I must say I am taken aback by David?s response to my review and speaks to a lack of professionalism. As I previously mentioned he did a good job the first time which I reciprocated by leaving a positive review. I guess leaving a positive review, being polite and paying immediately puts you under a "won't perform work for again" list according to his comments. I would also mention the respectful thing for him to do would have been to politely respond that he did not want to take on my job instead of simply ignoring my request.

Our sprinkler system is working perfectly now. THANK YOU!!!

I moved into a new house and several zones in my irrigation system were not working. I called Saturday morning and they showed up at 1pm and got right to work. They were able to determine the cause of the problem (They needed to rewire the whole system) fix it and put everything back together. You would never know they had been there. The system works great and the price was very reasonable.

David has managed our sprinkler service for the past 4 years. What an amazing guy! He has winter-proofed our system (no frozen or broken pipes at my house!) and restarted our sprinkler system and made all the adjustments each spring. But what I REALLY like about David is his responsiveness. I am ALWAYS able to reach him in a reasonable amount of time when there is a problem. Like when the lawn service guys run over the sprinkler head with the mowers and you wake up to neighbors telling you that you have a geyser in your yard. I can text David, send him pictures, call him, etc. He is really modern and HE does the work himself. He has taken the time to show me all the ins and outs of my system and never talks down to me. He is one of the best examples of why I love Angie's List. I love his great service.

From the first time I called David back in December, I knew he was top notch. I've been a facility manager for 18 yrs and deal with vendors all day. I use Angies list b/c it would be a conflict of interest to use those same vendors for my personal home repairs. So when I say that David and his crew are excelllent, I know what I'm talking about. He's responsive and very very honest and his prices are very fair. He's passionate about what he does, he's there working along side with his crews and he's nice to them too, and they clean up after themselves. David has been very upfront about his schedule and availabilty. He told me in December the best time to have my irrigation installed would be during the slower months, but I procrastinated and when I called him in late April, he said he wouldn't be avaialble until May (to provide a quote). In that same email he apologized and said he could recommend some other providers. I knew David was worth waiting for, so I said I'd wait. He came by in early May and fixed my 8 sprinkler heads, and then provided a quote to install the backyard irrigation. He was upfront about not being able to do the install until the first week of June. We signed the quote 2nd week of May and just like he said, he did the install on Monday 6/2/14. He arranged to come by 3 days later to hook up the controll box. Everything works great. There's one more minor upgrade that needs to be made and I can assure you, I'll be calling David and his EcoSystems team again.

Mr. Robertson and his helper showed up as promised and promptly went to work digging out the old heads and putting in the new ones. Both men worked quickly and efficiently. They were in and out in a half hour or less. A real pleasure to do business with him. P.S. This is the third time we have had him out for repairs.

On April 18th, I contacted this provider from Angiest list. I explained I was doing some re-landscaping and that I had an existing system, but that it was old and not working. I was looking for the cost of either repairing what I had or new system. He was up front with me stating he was busy but promised he would be out in 2 weeks. He came out to my home on May 23rd (after multiple emails asking for a status) - 3-5 weeks later than what he promised (and only since he was going to be in the area). His bid was very expensive compared to others I received. Also there was no mention of repairing the old system. I emailed asking what I thought to be some polite questions to find out why he proposed what he did. Here is is my note to him: "Thanks for taking the time to come to my home for a look over and preparing this estimate. I realize your busy with this time of the year. I won't pretend to say i'm happy with a 3K price tag. I will say that price is not within my budget. If I may ask some questions: Why 4 zones? There seems to be two for the front and two for the back. My old system only had 2 (front and back) and worked fine. Granted the old system didn't have the side to deal with (it was cement). Why does each zone have a combination of pop up and spray heads? Can anything be used from the current system - ie the tie in from city water and that box? Any of the pipes in the yard? Is there any way my existing system can be updated at a lower cost? Did this include any, if any, Angies list discounts?" And here is his response: "Two different companies have confirmed your existing system is junk. Utilizing anything the previous contractor installed would only lead to future problems. I do not warranty the work of others. The saying goes" you can polish a turd, but it will always be a turd. You can put sprinkles on it, then it will glitter, but it will always still be a turd. Sprays and rotors are not suppose to be on the same zone(your current system), that is why I have four zones to separate this issue. The nozzles are different on a pop up rotator and a pop up sprayhead. I am sure you can find a contractor who might take the budget approach. I warranty my workmanship and I will not mess with your existing system. Good luck." I personally think that was quite unprofessional. If he never had the intention of entertaining a repair, he should of stated up front as to reset my expectations.

It went very well. He was prompt and patient.

The provider made an appt to meet me at my home I made arrangements to completely change my schedule to be there not only did he not show up but was rude and arrogant in his response back when I sent him an email why he did not show up.

We were very pleased and satisfied by the service provided. Response to our initial inquiry was very fast and David showed up promptly for our appointment. He and his assistant very quickly identified the issues & had our irrigation system up and running very quickly. David was incredibly friendly and professional and we really appreciated that he is a very down to earth, straight shooting guy. His pricing for parts and for service was very reasonable. We would absolutely recommend him and will be using him for any future irrigation needs.

David replied promptly in what is an extremely busy season. He is obviously very knowledgeable. He reviewed all 4 zones, analyzed the problems quickly. They were very efficient, made the repairs and left the premises very clean. Because of his knowledge & efficiency the cost was very reasonable. I am very satisfied.

Great experience. Everything he said he would do he did. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for irrigation.

I had a sudden break in an underground sprinkler line and the handle of the shutoff valve broke off so I could not stop the high volume leak. David was able to respond within 30 minutes to assess the situation and control the leak. He said he would send a crew within a couple of hours to find the break and replace the broken valve. The crew did show up and efficiently dug to find the break, including digging completely around a bush to preserve its roots before removing it to find the break underneath it. While fixing the break in one line (by replacing a section), it was discovered that another line lying next to it was not fully glued at a coupling and would be subject to a leak, so the crew replaced that section as well. The crew also dug out completely the main sprinkler control valve and its attached backflow preventer valve. The main valve was replaced but they were able to salvage the backflow valve. When complete, they put all the dirt back, replanted the bush that was removed earlier into its original place, and cleaned up landscaping and the adjoining sidewalk. All was done efficiently and neatly.

I first called David this past Thursday. He promptly returned my call and I let him know that I had a leak and was not able to get my main valve for the irrigation system shut off. He explained to me what I could do to get it shut off until he could get out there to take a look. Not knowing that I had gotten it shutoff he came out that Saturday to see if he could do it, as he didn't want me to sit with a leak over the weekend. I really appreciated that. The work he did on Monday was thorough and professional. As busy as he is with the Spring season in effect, he never acted rushed and didn't mind answering my questions. I definitely plan to use David's company in the future for my irrigation needs.

David was a real pleasure to work with from several aspects. He was very responsive, prompt, and personally involved in all stages of the work on our home. He personally oversaw all stages of work and also went the extra mile to replace a couple of broken heads that weren't even in the scope of our proposal. All of his work was done with high quality on the first iteration, he was always on time, and just easy to work with overall. I would recommend Ecosystems without any hesitation and would definitely call on them again for any future irrigation needs.

David did a fantastic job. I had a leak in the yard and was preparing to replace the water line. Before I did, I called David to check the irrigation system. His diligent work identified a leak at the point where the irrigation pipe and water line to the house connect. By him identifying this, he saved me over a $1000. He fixed it quickly, used great parts and took pictures to show me what was the problem and how he fixed it. I would recommend David and his company to anyone who wants to know that they are getting great service at a fair price. In fact, I called David today because I thought a valve was leaking. He determined that it wasn't a leak but did fix several broken sprinkler heads. He was great again and again saved me time and money.

What an absolute pleasure it was to meet Dave. He called early to confirm when he'd be arriving and showed up RIGHT ON TIME. Dave is incredibly courteous, extremely knowledgeable all the while speaking to me so I could understand. We walked around the yard and he showed me all of problems and explained how some of the "problems" I thought I had were just normal. After quickly fixing the issues, he tested the system which revealed another problem. One more quick fix later, a reprogramming lesson, and he was done. All that and he was done in less than an hour! We talked the whole time and he couldn't have been nicer or more personable. There is no doubt that I use him again (see: FOREVER) and i will recommend him to all my friends!
