Ecosystems Services responded quickly to my call about our irrigation system leak and performed a quick but complete repair. When asked about the charges for the repair David Robertson responded that there would be no charge. He indicated that the leak had occurred in an area that he had previously fixed. Since he has been taking care of our irrigation system since we moved here in 2013, it could be true that he might have done similar repair in the past, but I did not recall it. I also don't remember any warranty promised or expressed by David for any of his work. The loyalty to this customer and integrity shown here speaks for itself. I would not use any other lawn irrigation business as long as I can call on Ecosystems Services, Inc.

David came to our house as promised and gave us what we considered a fair estimate. We agreed on the price and a date for the installation and he showed up on time for that as well. They completed the job in one day and we were happy with the job. We haven’t really had a chance to use the system as it was installed just before the sod went dormant, except for testing it to make sure everything was working ok. He did a great job and took plenty of time to show us exactly how the system works. We would definitely recommend this company!

The contractor responded quickly for a walkthrough review and estimate. They clearly had the experience and knowledge of the issues, products and specific design needed to resolve my concerns. A fair price and contract were agreed and work started within days. They arrived when they said they would, completed the job as forecast and tested the system out to my satisfaction. I would gladly recommend them to anyone needing this service.

When I called, David the owner, answered and immediately scheduled a visit. He texted me twice that he was on his way. Luckily I have two water meters, so I had been able to shut off the water supply to my irrigation, so that I was not wasting water in the meantime. I, myself, had installed piping, 21 heads, and drips to my backyard---so I had considerable knowledge but this problem was beyond my limited expertise. David has a "PhD" in irrigation mechanics and installs commercial and residential systems. Upon arrival, he immediately located my hidden underground valve box that contained the problem he had diagnosed. He replaced the faulty valve and tested each zone to see if they functioned. I told him I would like all my valves replaced since they were 17 yrs old, and he had told me the average life expectancy of a valve is 8 yrs. He did not have enough valves with him to replace all of them at that time. He did tell me that I might have a problem with the remaining valves since I had replaced only one this time. Sure enough, after he left I ran the system and now zone 3 refused to shut off via the controller. I texted him the problem. The next morning he sent his crew out to replace two more hidden underground valves. The system is now working flawlessly. The prices charged were VERY reasonable and the whole experience was such a pleasure compared to that of several contractors I had employed over the past 17 yrs.

First of all, when I called, the owner answered and spoke directly to me. He scheduled a visit, and texted when he was on the way. This man has a "PhD" in irrigation and immediately located a buried underground valve box that housed the problem. He replaced the valve and tested to see if all zones would function. He explained that my 17 yr. old valves were failing since the average life of them is 8 yrs. He said I might now experience a problem with the other valves, but he didn't have enough valves with him at the time, to replace all of them. Sure enough, when I later ran the water system, now zone 3 refused to shut off unless I turned the water supply at the meter. I texted him about the problem, and he sent his crew out the next morning to replace two more of my underground buried valves. He had already located and marked their location on his previous visit because I had told him I wanted all the old valves to be replaced. The crew replaced two more buried valves and now everything is working just fine. What a pleasure to have a fast, efficient, technical expert to diagnose the problem. I have myself installed piping and 21 heads and several drip extensions to my back yard; however, this issue was beyond my limited expertise. David's knowledge and ability is nearly magical, he immediately assessed MY complicated irrigation system, located all buried problem valve boxes, and had all problems fixed for me!!! His company charges such incredibly reasonable rates for the expertise involved. I had previously dealt with two other contractors over 17 years that proved marginal, at best! This whole experience was such a pleasure!!!!!

David called in advance and showed up when he said he would. He knew exactly what needed to be done, had the parts he need and completed the task promptly, I was pleased with his work and the price he charged.

David was outstanding to work with! I have lived all over the US and have had a lot of experience in calling contractors out for service. Of the three companies I called to address a problem we were having with our irrigation system, David was the only business to contact me. Heads up businesses, even if you are drowning in work, paying a part time employee to return calls to let a potential customer you are crazy busy goes a long way. If you ignore a call for business that tells me a lot about your service long before you get to the job. David was highly responsive, honest with the situation regarding his availability and STILL made it out to look at our system. The fixes he proposed were priced accurately and he did not attempt to upsell me into something that was not necessary. He did exactly as he said he would. His professionalism was appreciated and he saved our new sod by getting our system up and running. We recommend this company for any of your irrigation problems. And when we are ready to make changes to our current system we will be calling David back.

Excellent! I walked David through each problem zone and he offered a logical explanation of the problem and fix for each item. He wasn't "sales-y" and offered some explanation on the current state of the heads (each vendor, each sprayer type, etc). Not only did his crew fix the issues quickly (and with minimal sod damage), but David's bill was easy to understand (hours on-site, and line items for each sprayer/rotor/nozzle that was replaced). I can't tell you how nice it was to a) get ahold of someone as responsive as David, and also b) to find someone that could actually squeeze me in when most companies are booking appointments weeks to months out! David is easily the best and most reasonable irrigation company in the area.

David showed up within 30 minutes of our call for service. Went right to work, identified the problem, resolved the problem within 25 minutes. Very professional, very pleasant! Exactly what anyone would want in a service provider. We will definitely use him again and will recommend to friends.

We had what we thought was a leak in irrigation system in the backyard contributing to an enormous water bill. Found Ecosystems on Angie's list and decided to call based on their A rating. We were not disappointed. David answered my call right away and set-up an appointment for the next day. They arrived early and within the hour were able to identify that the leak was not in the back yard or with the irrigation system, it was with the main water line coming into the front of the house. Less than an hour later and the leak was repaired. All areas in the yard that were dug were restored so you'd never even know work was done. I should also mention that before the leak was actually found, and although the problem was not with the irrigation system, David was very consultative in walking me through the problem and how it could be potentially fixed if I needed to call a plumber. Luckily we didn't have to go that route. We will definitely be calling Ecosystems again to ensure the irrigation system is ready for the spring.

Prompt. Talked us through what needed to be done. Did not oversell. We asked him to do some things we could have done ourselves, but we had to ask...he didn't assume we wanted more done than we described. Very responsive. Friendly, professional work by owner and crew he sent for one task.

RESPONSE TO PROVIDER RESPONSE: Thank you for your generous "at no cost" adjustment to my irrigation controller which you did without asking and which probably took to you 15 seconds to turn a pin from 15 minutes to 10 minutes. If you bothered to look, I did not even have the controller set to automatic because I was not running the system for weeks due to rainfall. As for the size of the leak, I will let the water bill jump to $519 from an average summertime bill of $250 speak for itself. Lastly, regarding your "intuition" that I was just price shopping, I told you then and there that I wanted to proceed with you and to send the estimate. Further evidence of this was that I made the mistake of actually waiting for you and calling you again to follow up before ever contacting a different firm for a quote. By the way, I did no price shopping after contacting the second company either and they did a great job. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I contacted Ecosystems on Angie's List and noted that I have a severe leaking problem that was flooding a portion of my lawn. I chose Ecosystems because they were located near me in Alpharetta and highly rated on this site. David Robertson promptly responded and scheduled an appointment to evaluate my system the next morning. He showed up at my home on time and told me it would be best to replace all three valves due to their age, recommended a specific control panel with a remote rain sensor, and showed me how his team would properly adjust the sprinkler heads by installing some kind of elbow shaped tube that makes adjustment easier. I was impressed. David said he needed a week to provide the quote because he was about to leave for a fishing trip. I knew I had an ongoing leak, but I chose to wait the week because I made the decision that Ecosystems would do a good job with the repairs and upgrades. After a week, I still did not have an estimate from David so I sent an email to him reminding him to please respond with an estimate so we could proceed. David never responded. This was extremely frustrating because I placed my trust in him over the fact that I was incurring the costs associated with the water leak. I understand companies can get very busy or have bigger contracts that take priority, but don't tell a potential customer that you will do something and then not follow through... or at least have the courtesy to communicate with the customer that you are declining the business. I ended up calling a different service provider located a little further but also highly ranked on Angie's List. They showed up within a few days and were able to make all the repairs and upgrades on the same day. I wasn't going to review Ecosystems at all until I received my water bill. I can't recommend this service provider to anyone who needs timely service.

David took the time to walk me through the system. Gave good advice on how to troubleshoot the system in the future and things that I could do to improve the system's efficiency. Would definitely use Ecosystems again.

This company from start to finish was beyond awesome. David happened to be in my area and arrived and diagnosed all the problems asap. His whole approach was making us feel like nothing was a problem and that everything would be taken care of - and it was and more!! He sent his two guys about an hour later to fix the problems that he had flagged. It's peak season for this type of work and I was lucky to have found such a polite, hardworking company. The two guys he sent were equally great and it was a pleasure to have them on my property. They did an amazing job and didn't leave until everything was tested and working 100% better than they arrived. They left no mess, in fact moving sprinkler heads and fixing leaks you would never have known where the problems were. I will definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them!! David Robertson, owner of the company was finishing up a job nearby my house and said he could come over right after that job. He was at my house within thirty minutes. He looked at my sprinkler system, diagnosed the problem and quoted me the cost of repair. I then asked if he could also repair my outdoor lighting. He said yes, diagnosed that problem and quoted me the price. Within an hour and a half all the repairs were completed! This was one of the best service/repair experiences I've ever had. David is very professional and a really pleasant guy. I will definitely recommend him to my friends.

Dave was not only on time, but early. This is not a large company so he may be hard to get in peak season. Dave and two oters did all the work. He let me know what was wrong without pressuring me to buy more. He even recommended leaving some things until later. From what I can tell so far, I am extremely happy with the results. I did not rate the cost simply because I did no comparison. (He charges $125/hr + parts). I checked reviews here and on kudzu and decided I just wanted the work done. I am happy, would/will use him again, and would recommend to others.
