This went very well. The worst part of it was that the fan that I over-analyzed and provided had a little bit of an initial rattle that seems to have gone away. The walkway seemed well engineered and designed for insulation to be blown under it. The worker also thoughtfully added a rounded 2x4 as a handle for ascending to the attic. They may have made a mistake in bidding too low for the work and materials required but did not attempt to ask for more money. Payment was collected 100% at the end of the work.

Work was done when they said in less time than they estimated. Finished product was exactly what I wanted. Cleanup was immaculate. Will definitely use them again.,

All work completed in a timely manner and they even clean up.

We hired Carpenter & Co to repair wood columns on our front porch. There was significant wood rot to 2 of the 6 columns, which had to be completely replaced. Steve suggested PVC for those columns, as it resists future rot. Once the work began, they discovered that one of the columns did not have the proper structural support. The additional charge was minimal and well worth stabilizing the porch. They also matched the paint (a competitor had told us we needed to supply our own). The job took 2 days and each day the crew arrived on time. I am quite persnickety about my plants in the front yard and they were very careful not to damage the landscaping. The porch was neatly cleaned at the end of each day's work. We are definitely pleased with the work and are considering this company for another project.

A problem with chimney flashing caused water damage in three rooms. There were stains on the ceiling drywall in two rooms with more severe damage in the third. The concern was whether mold had formed as a result of the water. The crew the company sent arrived on time and prepared for the tasks involved. They first made an assessment of the presence of mold and determined there was none. They next took samples and left to match the paint color. They were very successful in making that match. The painting of the ceiling in the living room went very well with great coverage, The room with the worst drywall damage turned out to be the easiest to repair because the damage was only to the taped seams and not the wall. Their replacement of the seam material was fantastic. The surface in the three places does not look like there was ever a problem. It looks better than what the builder did. We also had them install a chandelier in the living room once the paint dried. This was done without any problem. I was impressed with the way they listened to what we wanted done and offered suggestions where it would either improve the quality of the work or save on cost. I liked the way they respected the property by either removing their shoes or covering them. They did a good job keeping the workspace neat and cleaned up after the tasks were completed. There is no question that we will use this company again. Their knowledge and skill plus the great professionalism make them a standout for us.

Overall, the experience was great. They gave me a fair price. Everything went well. It was a very simple job, I just didn’t have the tools to do it myself.

We have used Carpenter & Co a number of times and have always been impressed by their service standards. The office ladies are always very friendly and helpful and offer timely responses to our inquiries. The work was excellent. They cleaned up after themselves every day over a three month period and were always punctual in attending to the remodel work. Any issues were quickly resloved and we can honestly say that no issue remained evident for more than a few minutes before they fixed it. Most of the time issues were simply a misunderstanding and they jumped into resolving it quickly. The final product is ABSOLUTELY what we asked for - and has been something we have enjoyed ever since. They were able to meet deadlines and worked extra hours - when required - to get the job done on time. Their freindly and professional approach made the remodelling work run very smoothly. We are very happy with their work and can recommend them to others without hesitation.

Gave me a small break on price by offering my help in footing ladder, which turned out not to be necessary.

Only recieved an estimate from this vendor --I did not obtain work from this vendor. But it came in about 50% higher than the closest estimate that I went with and about 25% higher than a third estimate. Company representative came out to residence on time and was professional. He promised to provide estimate by end of next day. I had to call the following week to find out where the estimate was --which is why I can only give an average rating. i did not end up using their services, although I was left with the impression that their services were very thorough and competent. In the end, I was content with the provider I used and for minor repairs and depending on the nature of the requested work, I will use them again.

They seemed fine. I haven't gone with them because we have done the work at all yet.

The guy did a really good job. Some of that I had tried on my own, but it was too difficult. They did a great job. I was really pleased with them.

They were prompt, cheerful & courteous and the work done was exceptional. Ron had done work at our house before and always does a great job. He knows the right questions to ask and the advice to give in getting things done right. His work is very detailed and professional. His range of skills is incredible. Since we were changing to a much larger bathtub and two shower heads (vs. one), there was extensive plumbing required. Ron had the insight to draw the second shower head from the bathtub supply so that both shower heads would have good flow when used together. The drywall/durarock work was great. I don't think we will ever have an issue with the shower or bathtub leaking. The tile work - the most visible part of the project - was great. The job took 16 work days in total. Every time I stopped in to check in, they were hard at work. They are completely trustworthy and I felt comfortable giving them access to the house when I was not around. The bathroom was left clean at the end and after each days work.

We would recommend them. They are good. They have put crown molding up in our house and miscellaneous other things. We haven't had any problems with them and they are easy to deal with. If we've had a problem they come right back and fix it, but mostly they have done it right the first time. They do charge a little bit more.

An estimater came out, gave me a written estimate, and we agreed the work would begin in 4 days. Work took longer than initially estimated. Carpenter & Co. were very flexible on fitting into my schedule.All work was completed over a Friday afternoon and a Monday afternoon. They did find additional hangers were needed for the basement joists. Work and workers was done professionally and thoroughly. Price was not cheap, but it was done correctly which is the most important item.

It went very well. They did a wide array of jobs. You tell them what you need and they do it. Their prices were reasonable. They are creative and they work in a timely manner. I would certainly recommend them to anyone else.

This place is good. They can kind of do it all if you ask me. That is what is nice about them. They are very good about punctuality, which I find appealing. They seem to be extremely helpful and concerned about any problems you have or any questions or anything like that. I think they are a good company in general and the work they do is very nicely and neatly done too. They could lower their prices a little bit and maybe be a tad more meticulous at times, but otherwise they are good to deal with.

Estimate visit was completed at scheduled time, lasted about 5 minutes, as the work to be done was minor and easy to explain. Two men came and worked all day long, were conscientious and professional. Cost was a little higher than we liked, but we were very satisfied with the work done.

I scheduled them to come to my house a couple of weeks prior to their arrival. They should have arrived at 1pm. At 2pm, I called the office to inquire into the delay and was informed that the workers were experiencing complications with their morning appointment (you would think that they would call me when it's clear they'll be delayed). I was then asked if 4:30pm would be okay. By 6:30pm, no one arrived, and no one called. The next day, I left a message for Julie, the owner, that I was canceling the order. For a firm rated here highly for service, you might think she would return my call to apologize and try to win back my business. Too bad for her, because had this "tester" job gone well, I would have given her firm over $4000 in door work that I need completed.

The workmen showed up late (supposed to be 2 but only one showed up initially). Workman was pleasant and appeared knowledgable. After removing my old door and staining my new door it was discovered that the framework around the door had problems so the contractor said he had to get help and would return the next day. The next day they returned. After some time I was told that the door would not hang correctly because the existing door frame was not initially installed level (so the new door would be slanted downward). They put my old door back. They did re-hang my storm door properly and I am satisfied with that. I am left with a new door that cost me $653.00 that I cant return because it has been stained nor can I use it (by the way, the stain did not match my existing frame/door). They were going to charge me $210.00 for parts and labor but we settled on $150.00 (cost of labor). I now need a door/fame assembly which will cost thousands.

THE PERSON WHO CAME AND GAVE THE ESTIMATE WAS THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY. HE WAS A VERY NICE PERSON. HE LISTENED TO ME. HE PRESENTED HIS INVOICE DESCRIBING WHAT HE WOULD DO AND HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE. HE WAS ABLE TO MEET ALL OF HIS DEADLINES.

They came out to do the work the service was good and the price was good. I called them about 6 weeks ago to do more work and he came out about a week ago but did not finish. I called and she said she would return my call. I have not heard from them since.

THEY WERE REALLY PLEASANT TO HAVE AT THE HOUSE, AN EXCELLENT TEAM. DID EVERYTHING THEY SAID, PLUS EXTRAS.

THE ESTIMATOR WHO DID NOT RETURN MY CALLS PROMPTLY FINALLY DID AND THEY CAME OUT AND DID THE WORK AND I WAS VERY PLEASED. (THAT ESTIMATOR NO LONGER WORKS THERE, I'M TOLD.)
