This particular corner was sinking due to the close proximity to the creek bank. Everything seemed to go off without a hitch.

Chad, came out to tell me if I had foundation issues to be concerned with since I had small cracks in the corners and along the crown modeling in my home. And basically, it was only cosmetic issues that needed to be repaired by a painter since overtime due to normal wear and tear of a new home. I was so relieved because foundation work is very expensive. Had was nice,honest and explained everything!! I would recommend Chad and his company for all foundation inquiry and repairs!!

Two problems - a garage floor that was cracking and a front porch that was pulling away from the entry door - prompted us to contact Atlas Piers. Wayne Farris came to the house and spent quite some time looking at the situation and explaining to us any options to correct the situation. Based on the excellent reputation of the company and Mr. Farris's obvious knowledge, we contracted with Atlas Piers to perform the needed work. The two crews that were sent to the house were prompt and courteous. Unfortunately, the crew repairing the front porch or stoop encountered an unforeseen problem that resulted in there being two concrete and metal structures left protruding six to eight inches above the ground on either side of our stairs at the entrance to our home. There had been no mention that this was a possible result. What had been intended as work "to help the overall look of the stoop" has actually created a glaring eyesore that detracts considerably from the appearance. We have sent Mr Farris pictures and explained that we are unable to leave the front of our house in this condition. In reply, the Operations Manager, Mr. Rambo, called to say that there are two other ways to correct the problem and quoted us a price for the work. This would basically mean that we would be expected to pay twice to achieve the results for which we originally contracted. We appreciate the time Atlas Piers has taken with us but are disappointed that they would be willing to leave us in such an untenable situation. It is an embarrassment to us and reflects very poorly on their company. I would like to send a copy of the pictures to supplement this information and illustrate the severity of the problem. The recommendation the company made worked great, and I have not experienced any more issues.

Overall it went very well. They started on time and took great care not to damage the siding which wasn't easy. Their equipment, labor and materials are excellent. The people in the office are very friendly and helpful. The final price I paid was exactly as quoted. I got another bid for this same exact job at $750 less, but chose Atlas because of their responsiveness and punctuality before the decision to hire them. I got 3 bids. Two of them, including Atlas, said we needed 2 piers, and the third one prescribed 3 piers at a much heftier price. There were some things they could improve upon and this is the reason I gave a "B" instead of an "A" on professionalism. 1) Follow the specifications on the Quick-Crete. It says do not use below 40 degrees. It was 38 degrees when they mixed it. 2) When you are going to remove a small shrub and replant it afterwards, discuss with the homeowner who is just a knock on the door away. I would have preferred to dig it up properly and replant it myself. They didn't dig up a large enough root ball so it will probably die when it might have been saved. 3) When you dump out the remains of a wheelbarrow with concrete mix residue, ask the homeowner where to dump it. In this case they chose to dump it in a front yard bed, whereas, had I been asked, I would have chosen the inconspicuous pinestraw area on the side of the house. 4) Be sure the contract is signed by Atlas and sent back to the customer before the schedule job date. 5) Submit an accurate final bill the first time. That was promptly corrected.

Great job. Did all they said they would and more.

Work took longer than initially planned as they had to go much deeper than expected. We did have to ask them to come back to 'redo' how they put dirt back up against the house, to correct the grading. They came back and completed everything, albeit it took them a few weeks to get back to us, as their schedule was very busy. Overall, their work was excellent, they cleaned up well, and did not cause damage to our lawn or landscaping.

The owner came out and gave us an evaluation and recommendations. It was a real easy process. He was friendly.

They were great, had a great price and were on time when they came over. This company was everything you can say positive about a company; they were perfect.

lWe were pleased overall with the work and so far we have not had any water in our basement, even with the hard rains we had this summer and fall. All personnel were courteous and competent. They were great with scheduIing. It's not pretty, but it works. We had one issue with a part where they filled in gaps with our foundation, but were happy that they responded immediately to correct it. We had already paid in full and they could have walked away or put us off.

They were wonderful. I was not there when they did the work but I only heard good thigns about them. Their price was fair. They were here right away.

Atlas came out to quote my job, but recommended I contact another service provider. I did not use them.

They did a great job. They were thorough and trustworthy. I would recommend their services and I would use them again in the future.

Mr. Wayne Farris came to our home and did an inspection and referred us to another company to come out and do a soil test. We have done that, but in the mean time Mr. Farris never charged us a dime to come out to refer us to someone else. He was very professional and explained things to us that we could understand. Once we get our soil test report back telling us what we need to do and if it involves any foundation work we will call Mr. Farris back to do the work. He was upfront and I can't remember meeting such an honest man like he is in a very long time, Thank you.. for your honesty .. Suzanne Clow

Atlas brought in a structural engineer to assess the situation and recommend a solution. Crew came and installed piers, jacked the foundation, cleaned up in a single day. Their contractor ground out and re-pointed the affected mortar joints the following week. The job was done right and they cleaned up behind themselves. No complaints, very professional, transferrable warranty. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Once Chad and I introduced ourselves, we went to the problem area of my house, a rear corner that I thought had a sinking foundation. I described what I thought was happening - erosion - and Chad latched onto the real problem in just a few minutes of inspection. The foundation wasn't sinking, just a section of the brick veneer was. The bricks didn't seem to be sitting squarely on a footing and had sunk about an inch. This was a big relief since another company had made an expensive quote just 5 days prior to Chad's visit. He gave me a fella's name and phone number who he was sure could lift the bricks, tighten the open mortar joints, for a good deal less. I still need to get the appropriate job-quote, but at least I will be repairing the right problem. That was close. This goes to show everybody: Get multiple quotes!
