Description of Work: I used Aladdin to get blown-in insulation added to my attic to bring my insulation up to code. The owner of the company, Charles, came to my home to give a quote for the project and that went well. I did feel he could've been more detailed with his inspection of my home, as other companies did a more thorough job at this task and showed more concern than he did. The two men how who worked on my home and completed the project arrived on time, were very professional and informative, and seemed to do a great job. The reason for the lowered grade is due to challenges I had with the billing part of the process. I applied for an interest free payment plan through Aladdin's web site and got approved. However, it was not clear on the web site whether what I had signed up for was indeed an interest free plan, or not. The two men who worked on my home could not answer this question, so I requested they hold the billing until I could get a concrete answer. When I called the woman at the office, she also could not answer my question. In the end, I had to wait for the owner to return from vacation and call me to set up the interest free payment plan. However, it should not have been this difficult! Other employees beyond the owner should know how to handle these billing concerns; otherwise, the company should not offer them! Things have been remedied and I'm now making payments on my insulation project, so everything did get figured out in the end. As a consumer, I suggest you read the fine print when applying for the interest free payment programs, just as I did. Had I not read the fine print and questioned everyone to verify what sort of payment plan I was getting, who knows what I would have ended up with! Be assertive!

Description of Work: I purchased a package for a set amount of insulation to be installed. When they came out they educated me on the status of my insulation and the benefits of obtaining more than originally purchased. I decided to proceed with the installation of additional insulation (above what was originally purchased) along with additional items such as an insulation tent for the attic stairs. | |The installers were courteous and friendly. They even provided a stack of insulation inserts for outlets. | |My only problem with working with them was that I was unable to receive an itemized receipt for the service despite multiple calls. | |I would recommend them in the future despite the communication issues.

Description of Work: Blown in attic insulation. They did a very good job, but be sure that you really want R-60 because 24" is a lot more than i visualized which makes getting in the attic space for any kind of future maintenance very challenging.

Description of Work: They were prompt and courteous as well as let me know the entire plan prior to the work starting. |They cleaned up after they were done. I will know if the insulation works when the next cold day comes along as well as when the summer heat sets in.

Description of Work: They sprayed insulation in one portion of my attic. The deal only covered a very small portion of my attic so they quoted a much higher price to insulate the attic adequately. Since I was not interested in paying $1200, they arranged to insulate over just one room. They were accommodating and said they would honor their larger estimate in the future. I think speaks to the fact when considering purchasing a deal, one must also consider whether the deal itself is realistic and meaningful.

Description of Work: We were exceptionally pleased with the personnel and with their work. Rob came out and did an estimate of our insulation needs. He was very thorough and courteous. The crew also did an excellent job. Should we have needs in the future that can be performed by this company, we will definitely use them.

Description of Work: They told me that I did not need any additional insulation following an inspection. I appreciate their honesty.

Description of Work: They blew in approximately 14 inches of fiberglass insulation. They also installed heat shields around all recessed lights and installed an attic tent above our pull-down stairs.

Description of Work: Our house never seems to be very cool in the summer or warm in the winter so we sought out an insulation contractor to remedy the situation. I called Aladdin based on the great reviews I read in Angie's List. The Sales Rep, Charlie Whigham, arrived on time and proceeded to walk me through the process. They would apply a supplemental layer of blown in product throughout the entire attic bringing the R Value up to 49. He also agreed to consolidate the odds and ends we were storing in the attic into one central location limiting the future foot traffic in the space. An unexpected bonus was the installation of a barrier above the pull-down attic stairs which limited drafts while keeping the product from falling into the house when opening/closing the door.

Description of Work: Aladdin added insulation to our attic. Aladdin came out and thoroughly explained in detail what needed to be done to make our home energy efficient. Aladdin explained the benefits of ventilation, water heater blankets and The Dept of Energy's recommendations. As well as all Tax Credits and Utility company rebates. The price was very affordable.
