I've had their service for years. but in the last a few years, they started increase prices every year by about 5%. it's not a lot of money, but over the years, it has become quite a bit. I'm sure they don't charge new customers as much when they want to lure them in. as for the service, one day I was home, I saw the truck pull in and the guy did something for literally a couple of minutes in the backyard - I didn't see what he did, because by the time I walked to the room overlooking the yard, he'd done the work already. the paper work said he spread about 10lbs or so of fertilizer! I don't know if I could really believe that. just providing the facts as I know it.

They did a terrible job. For 5 straight years they never accomplished the task. I kept having hope for them but no luck. They were very nice and couteous though.

I paid ahead for the whole year $329.40. They said they would re-do it if I was not satisfied. I called and told them that I was dissatisfied and they said they would be out this week no later than Saturday to treat the lawn again. They never came. Then they told me they would be here Monday for certain. They did not show. I called them again and they said they would be out today, but they did not show today either.

It went from bad to worse. They did not get the lawn type correct, applied the wrong treatment and came back and put down hardly any lime in less that 2 minutes. They rushed and do not care. Poor coverage . I complained to customer service and they said they would take care of bill (wrong) they sent another bill for more and now they say we are LATE. I would not recommend them to anyone.They were rude and their idea of customer service is to pound sand. To make matters worse they quoted one price and charged another.

We are in a homeowners association and the company they were using wasn’t doing a good job. Over a year ago we opted to have TruGreen come out to maintain grass, trees, and shrubs. We were going to have to replace our grass, trees and shrubs because they were dying because we had an infestation of brown patch disease, silver dollar and Japanese beetles last year. They came in and they immediately turned the grass around and made it green and healthy. My shrubs are thicker, taller, and bigger. They look like they have been there for years and that’s just in one season. The plants and trees are doing great and compared to our neighbors our landscape appears to have been in places for years, when in reality it's only 2 years. They are much more mature, bigger and beautiful than any other home in our block. The grass is still a work in progress but hopefully this summer it will turn around and be thicker and healthier next year. I think their price is reasonable.

I feel sorry for this company's field technicians, they did their job, and were always courteous, informative, and knowledgeable.......BUT - The office scheduling department was totally disorganized. On several instances, they sent a technician to repeat a treatment that had just been done recently, and tried to bill me for the service, although the billing charges were ultimately dropped when I called to complain and they discovered their mistake. Being retired and often home on weekdays, I was sometimes able to catch the tech before he started the application, and explain they had sent him in error. Twice I called the office about this, and both times they assured me that they had straightened out my schedule. In the field of lawn care, timing is of the essence in having a healthy lawn, and at this point I was convinced that their scheduling procedures were severely lacking. Then the sales people in the office started calling trying to sell me extra services that I neither requested nor needed. At that time I dropped TruGreen and hired another lawn service as I had lost all confidence in this company. Now my lawn looks better than ever. My advice is to stay away from Trugreen, there are better lawn services available at an affordable price.

They have done a real good job. They call me and let me know when they are coming out and I can make sure that I am at home. Price wise they are comparable. I will continue to use them in the future.

They are a good company. They recently put down some high powered weed killer which killed my grass, but they’re coming back next week to fix the issue.

They have not lived up to their part of the agreement. Let's begin with the weed control/fertilization. It takes me over an hour to mow my yard, and maybe half as long to water it. Yet they pull up with their truck and are gone again in 5 minutes (I just timed them again today.) HOW is it possible they can fertilize the entire lawn in that amount of time? Answer: they are not. They didn't even go into the back yard - and this happens every single time they come out. But they charge me for it! Second - the aeration. It was supposed to be core aeration - the kind that leaves little "plugs" all over the lawn. Pretty noticeable when completed. I was out of town when this service was allegedly performed, but when I returned I saw Zero evidence anything was done. Not one plug, and no aeration holes. They all magically washed away! Absolutely no trace of my lawn being disturbed at all! HOW do they do it? Answer: they did not. They could not have - there would be evidence of it. I've aerated before and it tears up the lawn pretty good initially, only to recover better than before. I am convinced they didn't do the work. About the only thing I saw them do front and back was the lime application, which left the characteristic white powder on the lawn. Although even then they didn't address the back yard completely. I have complained to the BBB about them and we worked out a deal and I gave them a second chance - and they are still just as terrible. I never want to see them again. I have had better results with a drop spreader and Scotts, and that's what I will do in 2011.

My lawn looks worse now than it ever has before. I had about 3-4 treatments since Feb 2010 and previously used them in 2008. They are terrible and when I mentioned it to a rep who came out to my home and inspect my bushes and shrubs, he said someone would contact me. When they did, they offered aeration in July, though that is not an ideal time to aerate (Fall is) and would not have solved my problem.

We have used this company for two years and find them completely professional. They are easy to work with and they adhere to our plan entirely. They arrive on schedule and complete the treatment as planned.

The last time that they came out our lawn hadn't been mowed yet and they put down the fertilizer anyway. I felt like they could have waited but we feel comfortable with their service and we have never had to call them back for anything that they did incorrectly.

They did a horrible job on my lawn. I made the appointment and they never showed up. When I called them they said they were going to be right out. After three days of calling them, they came and treated half of my yard. When I asked the customer service representative what happened, she was rude and unprofessional. To make matters much worse, they tried to over charge me for things I did not ask for or get.

We like Truegreen Chemlawn. My husband and I are very satisfied with them. Our lawn looks nice and they seem to be quite dependable. This is something that makes my husband and I very happy and pleased. We continue to use them, because of their good services. I think this is a good company.

I am a little concerned with some of the grass because it is patchy. I am not sure however if it is from them or the drought. Besides that I have not had any problems and the price is reasonable. They are always on time and professional. I think they are satisfactory overall. I pay them every six weeks.

All in all, they are very good. Sometimes when I have had to call them back out to re-treat for a problem area, they were slow in returning. They charge me if I have them return. Most of the time they work hard and try to make sure they are not called back.

We have used them for two years and they are always on top of when they are supposed to come and do our lawn. Their guys are very professional and do a great job. I just don't have to worry about the way my lawn looks because they do it for me.

The work they do is average. I think they are high in price and don t do a very good job for the price I pay, but I think all of the companies are the same. If I had to do it again I would use someone else. They seem to just be alright and I am not satisfied, but I do have a contract for a year with them. They don't have a schedule either they just come out whenever, it is about six to eight times per year and there is no schedule.

Trugreen Chemlawn is a reliable service. They come on time and their work is effective. I pay them each time they come and they have been coming every 2 months. I like the way they make my yard look. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to friends.

My yard is beautiful thanks to Chemlawn. I have always have had a good experience and they are quick to come out if they have to re-spray weeds. My grass couldn't be greener and the weeds are all gone.

They do a great job. My wife always has them come back and see what a great job they have done. They did great this time as well. We honestly have got to have the nicest lawn in the neighborhood. I am pleased with them 100%.

I think this company is very reasonable on their price they charge. We have a pretty big back yard so the charge is more than fair. We have been very happy with the results and will continue to use their services in the future.

I think Chemlawn is simply average. There were times they were fertilizing my lawn on top of leaves and things like that and I just wasn't that thrilled with them. I did not renew my contract with them because I had already canceled before, signed up again when they offered me a deal, and noticed they really hadn't changed. They're okay I guess. I just wouldn't use them again.

I am not going to continue to use this company. I find them to be a little on the expensive side and I am going to attempt to find a cheaper company. I can not claim to be dissatisfied with the quality of work that is done on the rental property I own. I just feel like it is a rather small amount of space in which for them to work and I am paying a pretty decent amount of money for that work to be done.

We are really beginning to see the vast improvement TruGreen has made on our lawn. The men that come out are professional and maintain a very punctual appointment setting. We are very happy with the results and will use them again next year.
