Dayco Systems Heating and Cooling

I called Dayco on 6/8 to ask for an estimate on a new AC system. The receptionist said that a tech would give me a call to set up a time for an appt. I told her that I wanted to get an estimate within the next day or so. I got a call back the next evening. The tech made an appt. for the following evening, 6/10. We had to reschedule for the next evening. The sales rep was here on time. He seemed like he was in a hurry. He didn't really sit down and explain things or try to earn my business. He was very nice, though. The quote he gave me the next day was close to the one that we got from Atlanta Air Care, which is who we ended up using. Price was very good, but AAC sat down with me and explained things which I appreciated. That's was the decision breaker. That plus the 10 warranty on labor. Out of the five estimates, Dayco would have been our second choice.

Wayne called me immediately (on a Sunday) after I called the answering service to let me know he was on his way. He checked everything out and found the problem. He fixed the problem and told us we shouldn't have anymore problems this winter. Wayne could not have been more prompt, nicer, or more professional. Dayco Systems installed the unit originally in 2013 and Dean Yarrington and his crew were outstanding in every way. This visit today just solidified the fact that we chose the right company. The process went well! They were able to come the day after they determined my old furnace was kaput, and removed the old furnace and replaced it with a new unit fairly quickly. They were friendly and courteous.

On the first visit the technician was very thorough and even put in missing filter in attic unit much to our surprise. Made many useful suggestions that helped out a lot. The second visit was also thorough since their technician wasn't able to fully describe the work we needed. However, the price was very high compared to their competitor..almost three times the price! If the prices wasn't so high we might have used them, but we were satisfied with the other contractor we found on Angie's List too.

Our air conditioner died on September 4th and we decided to take our time to find the right company and not rush into a purchase just because it was 90 degrees out side. I recieved estimates from Home Depot, Costco and a friend of a friend then I searched on Angie's List for a recommended company. Dayco came out and was very professional and listened to what we wanted. My husband had a very firm idea on the size and what type of unit we were interested in. Dayco came in with a very compeitive bid and was very helpful with out decision. They re-arranged their schedule to accommedate us since we had no air in the house for over week. It took them most of the day to install both units and they did a fantasic job. The house was clean and spot less and not one item was out of place. The unit works great and we enjoyed wonderul air conditioning. We also now have tried the heat and it worked. The variable speed on the fan was a wonderful sugguestion and I am so glad we went with Dayco I would highly recommend this company.

Water was dripping from the A/C vent in our basement bathroom. I had a plumbing company come out. They inspected the drains and pipes in the bathroom on the floor above and found no problem. They said it must be condensation coming from uninsulated A/C ductwork. I called Dayco Systems because I have purchased new systems from them and have service contracts for all 3 of my systems. I spoke with Katie and explained my problem. Even though they were very busy, she asked Ben, a truly great service rep, to see if he could find the time to come out and take a look at the problem. Upon his arrival and inspection of the leak, he asked if he could cut away part of the wet drywall on the ceiling to get a better look at the problem as the A/C ductwork at that vent seemed to be intact and dry. When a portion of the wet ceiling was cut away, he identified the problem as a leaking copper water line. I asked if there was anything he could do to repair it rather than me having to call out the plumbing company again. He said he could and he would speak with Dean (owner and another truly great guy) and get back to me. He was soon back with the necessary part. He cut away the leaking section of pipe and made the repair. I thanked him and asked what I owed for doing a job that he and Dayco could have easily said was not their responsibility and he said I owed them nothing. He said they appreciated my business (they had installed two new systems for me last April) and they appreciated me recommending them to my neighbors (one of which bought a new system also). I was speechless. I truly believed that companies like Dayco Systems did not exist anymore. I am happy to say I was wrong. Thank you Dean, Ben, Katie and all the other great people that work for Dayco Systems. You have a customer that will be loyal to you as long as you are in business.

They did what they said they were going to do. Their people were very pleasant and easy to work with. They were not pushy and they did good work and I am happy.

Everything was great. The technicians were great. I have no complaints. They did a great job. My unit is in a crawl space. It is a difficult place to work in and they did it.

When the system died, we called Dayco, and Wayne arrived quickly. He assessed the situation, replaced some coolant as a temporary fix, and talked with us about the type of replacement system we would prefer. After hearing our preferences, he made recommendations, gave us prices in writing, and told us to call him if we had questions or wanted to discuss options further. We were impressed with his product knowledge and lack of sales pressure. After making the decision, we called Wayne and he and the Dayco Team responded quickly. The technicians who installed the new system arrived on time as scheduled, were polite and professional, and cleaned up everything. The cost was exactly as quoted. The system is working well. We also like that the 5" filter will have to be replaced only once a year. We are pleased with the entire process and highly recommend Dayco to others.

Everything was very good. There were some mixed up because the unit that they arrived was the wrong unit. The warehouse put the wrong unit in the truck which necessitated another drive back otherwise it would have been one day installation but they were nice about it. They were on time and they finished what they said although it took two days. They get to come back the next day with the right unit. The clean up was fine, the people were professional and when they did have to come back the next day they send an extra man to make sure that it would be fast and done within the time limit they have set originally. They sent a written estimate with three different options and follow up telephone call, explained each of the options and more details exactly what the difference were. We were satisfied that we were able to do the purchase and installation within our budget. We got what we wanted with a fair price.

When I called for service, it was apparent to me that the unit needed coolant (R410A). The representative on the phone described a few issues that might be the problem and scheduled an appointment for a technician to confirm/deny these theories. I was given a 2.5 hour window, and the technicians arrived in the first half of that window. Despite the fact that R410A leaks are often easier to find than freon leaks, this one wasn't easy to find. However, the technicians persisted and finally found it. Unfortunately, the part that was leaking and needed replacing was almost as expensive as simply replacing the outdoor unit (and once you added the labor, it would have been more expensive than replacement). I was fairly certain that my system was out of warranty (I couldn't remember when I had it installed) and the lead technician made a couple calls to confirm this. He then called the office and got a quote for a new outdoor unit, noting that the indoor unit would need no maintenance or alteration, despite the fact that the new unit would be a different brand. Unfortunately, I'm not able to handle the cost of a new unit right now, but if/when I am, I'll be calling Dayco to put it in.

We have used Dayco as our heating and air service for over 12 years. We renew a service contract with them each year for our three heating/air units, so they get the units ready for summer and winter and check things out twice a year. The original owner, Dean, used to service our units personally. Now he has merged with another company. He is still overseeing everyone, but rarely makes the visits to the houses, from what I hear. We loved Dean's personal service and vast knowledge, combined with his fair prices, and honest assessments. I am happy to report that the younger man who came out for the company in May was also knowledgeable, honest, and fair, although not as warm and kind as Dean. We had to have a service call at the beginning of the really hot weather, and he could have convinced us that it was time for a new unit, as one of ours is pretty old. Instead, he laid out our options, explaining the pros and cons of just refilling the freon, replacing more expensive parts, waiting to purchase a new unit, making smaller temporary repairs, or buying a new unit. He admitted that without going inside and doing the more expensive repair or replacement, we could end up losing the money we were putting into freon, but he didn't try to push us in either direction. It is clear that we will need a new unit in the near future, but things have been very cool since he left. It's refreshing to have a company really try to help you save money. That earns our trust and respect, and we know they will be the ones to install our new units, as needed.

They are doing fine. I usually pay for the contract at one time. I paid for the contract in the spring. They will come back in the fall before the heating season starts and they will do that service again. They just did a good job and quickened things. They have done things when they have been here on service calls at no additional charge. I was having an issue the first time they came. I wasn’t getting good air conditioning downstairs and they realized that the fuse on the outside unit was unplugged, probably because of some outside siding work that I had done. So they just looked at it worked on it and fixed it. There was a contact stuck open on one of the AC units, which they fixed and told me to keep an eye on it in case anything goes wrong with it. I feel like they have a reasonable price. I have two systems and they are reasonably priced and I can do the contract. I think it gets me priority service if I do have an issue, and I get 10 percent off or something, being a contract member. They are very helpful and there is no high pressure or anything, and they do a good job. What they consider their basic service is just a good level service and it is not minimal. I can depend on their coming. If I do the contract, they send me a notification reminder once a year that it is time to schedule the maintenance. I just think that they are basically very customer service oriented. I think they are competitive with other companies that I have seen. I used them with an Angie’s List deal and it was a really good deal at the time for having service done. They are really responsive. I call and get my appointment scheduled and they are here when they are supposed to be. I haven’t had any issues with them on punctuality.

On Memorial Day weekend our 28 year old air conditioner failed. We called Dayco systems on Tuesday morning and they came out Tuesday afternoon. The service technician checked out the AC compressor and found that the motor was bad and told us it would cost almost $600.00 to replace. We felt that, since the air conditioner & furnace were 28 years old and original to the house, it simply wasn't worth putting the money into fixing that old a unit. The technician gave us several options for fixing the entire air conditioning & furnace system as well as payment and financing options. We had all the information, in hand, to make a decision. When we decided what we wanted, we called the office and told them we would like to schedule the replacement. We got a call that afternoon that they would replace our entire system the next day. The were here right on time and worked until after 7:00PM to get the job done and done right. We love the new system which works great and highly recommend Dayco Systems to everyone. Their service is highly professional as well as courteous and reasonable.

Wayne arrived on time and was friendly and professional. Our capacitor was dead and so he installed a temporary to see if that was the only problem. Unfortunately it wasn't. All the freon had leaked out over the winter. Wayne added a small amount at no cost to us so he could determine where the leak was located and then presented me with all my options from simply replacing the capacitor and freon (not reccommended as the current price of freon is high and it could all leak out again quickly) to replacing the a/c system. Since our a/c is 16 years old it is time for a new more efficient system. He wrote me up a reasonable estimate and we will probably go with Dayco after getting 2 more estimates for comparison's sake. Wayne was at my home for over an hour and took plenty of time to explain everything to me. I was charged the agreed upon price for the service call which will be deducted from the cost of the new unit if we use Dayco. All in all a positive experience.

We couldn't be more pleased with the service provided by Dayco. After deciding to finish our basement, we got several quotes from HVAC contractors. Dean came out to our home and not only provided us with a detailed quote but also both educated us on how the systems actually function and provided us with two options (separate AC or zoned system) via a formal written bid, ultimately suggesting we go with the cheaper option, which we did. (I also casually mentioned that the builder had put our upstairs thermostat in an awkward location, so Dean offered to move it for free -- which his guys did!) The crew was extremely polite and capable, and when we hit a small snag with a Sandy Springs inspector (unrelated to Dayco's work), Dean sent his crew out to fix the problem for a substantially sub-market price. The finished product is exactly what we wanted at a lower price than we expected. In an industry with a lot of unscrupulous participants, we'd highly recommend Dayco as extremely trustworthy, highly skilled, and reasonably priced.

Jacob and Justin showed up on time and explained the work they would be performing. By the end of the day, we had a completely installed, perfectly functioning,guaranteed, 16-Seer HVAC system. When they left you could not even tell they had been here. We couldn't be more pleased with the price, quality of workmanship, products, and the overall professionalism of Dayco. I will definitely be calling them for all my maintenance needs.

They did a good job and took care of the HVAC. One technician came out and did a standard quick check and everything was okay. He was professional and kind. They were also on time and called ahead.

I am very happy I selected Dayco. I shopped 3 other companies and Dayco had a competitive price, very good reviews on Angies list, had proper insurance, etc. Another reason I went with Dayco is that Dean spent the time to answer all my questions. Dean gave me several options and was not just trying to sell me something. His crew showed up on time, were very professional, cleaned up, etc. I am the type of person that asks a lot of questions, especially when someone is doing major work in my house. Dayco installers were all very nice and were all very happy to answer my questions when the work was being performed. I really appreciated this and it made me comfortable about the work being performed. I needed some minor adjustments shortly after the install and Dayco came right out to make it just right. Everything went great. I am so pleased with this company that when my mother's hvac unit (18 years old) died a few weeks ago. I called Dean and they just completed installing a new system at Mom's. Again. everything was great. I would highly recommend Dayco Systems.

Our old furnace was far, far beyond its golden years and didn't work when we first tried it a couple weeks ago. It was probably 20+ years old as were all of the AC components. I had two other companies look at it and provide a full replacement estimates. Dayco's estimate was the least expensive and included the best, highest efficiency Trane furnace, evap. coil, and AC compressor equipment included in any of the three estimates. No brainer, get it done with Dayco! Replacement service was scheduled. Installation techs were on time, professional, and stayed until the entire job was done which was well after dark. This company is the best, and their owner is committed to excellent customer service. I highly recommend them and will not go back to using another company that we have used for many years. As usual, whenever we need a service provider, we checked Angie's List for HVAC service and sales. I called Dayco, a young man promptly answered the phone. I explained that I was interested in a new 2 ton split system. He said he would have someone call back shortly. Shortly, the owner called, we spoke about my needs and made an appointment. The owner came out to assess our needs, designed a package for us, fully explained the components and installation process. The next day the Dayco Team was on time, ready to work and removed the old system in very little time. The new system was installed, we discussed a better location for the thermostat, the Team cleaned up, explained operation of the thermostat and were on their way. The new Trane system is perfect! The Dayco Team was prompt, courteous, professional and they delivered what they promised. I will be replacing another unit this Spring. There is no doubt in my mind that I will call Dayco.
