We were having the problem in only one bathroom so because they couldn't come out until Monday wasn't a big issue. David showed up promptly as promised and surveyed the issue. He felt the problem was not with the bathroom, but rather the drain line to/from the sewer pipe going to the city. He scoped the line to the street & the scope revealed that a recent back up had occurred & in his opinion felt this had been the cause of our problem. David was very professional, courteous and someone who easily related to the consumer. A good plumbing experience!!!

The amount I paid was a bog amount and I was happy and satisfied with their work. They were a little bit pricey but the work was good and I would definitely be hiring them again in the future.

Yes, he fixed the leak in the handles (yay!), BUT should a 1/2 hour job cost $309? I think not. The 10% Angies' discount was a joke on this overcharge (final price: $278). I questioned the plumber about the companies pricing policy and what amounted to (in my opinion) a serious overcharge for a simple job compared to other plumbers we've worked with in the past. He said the company has the discretion to charge either by the job or the hour. If you're older, like us (husband in 80s), better hold onto your wallet and find a company which isn't looking to take advantage of elderly people.

Thurs. December 20, 2018 Modern Plumbing responded within minutes of submitting my e-mail. A tech appointment was made for the next day. Fri. December 21, 2018 Appointment window was 2pm-5pm. Tech (name of Abel) arrived at 2:30pm. Due to Christmas being in a matter of days other companies I had contacted were unavailable until after Christmas. I expected to hear the same from Modern Plumbing. I was preparing to secure hotel accommodations to tie me over until then. Abel said he had a 40 gal electric water heater in his truck. He could install it immediately, or come back on Monday. I was overjoyed! Abel installed a new water heater. The work done is impressive. And I had hot water that evening. I am still smiling from the experience. Woo-hoo!

Shane diagnosed the problem quickly ; he showed me the debris in the pipes and cleaned the debris from the pipes. The company was prompt in scheduling an appointment to do the repair and Shane showed up well within his 3 hour appointment window. The company honored the 10% Angie's List discount coupon.

Found a clog in pipe leading to leaking in one toilet and other toilet not flushing. Toilet in hall had to be removed to clear blockage, then replaced.

They did a great job. I have never worked with such a professional company. They were detail-oriented, efficient, trustworthy and responsive to my concerns. I fully trusted them in my house while I was at work. They fully explained what they would need to do and their schedule before I even hired them. They met the deadline of what they had promised for completion.

From the time I called to when I met up with Jason, everything was spot on in terms of professionalism. My toilet was leaking from the bottom because the person who installed the toilet did so on an old rotten metal flange and the wax ring didn't even touch the toilet which led the toilet to not sit on the floor properly and it leaked badly. I called MPI first thing in the AM on a monday and they had someone at my house a few hours later. The reviews are true and I hope MPI doesn't change how they operate, because they definitely my go to company for any future plumbing needs.

Job went well. Both items were addressed after review of the provided onsite quote. They also accepted Angie's List discount on the services rendered. The technician was on time and performed both repairs. He also replaced the parts with far superior items (metal shutoff valve vs cheap plastic that was originally installed and a hose bib that is easily replaceable vs old one he had to cut off). He also made sure to clean up after the repair work. He was very friendly and didnt mind answering my questions as he worked. The price was a little higher then another quote I got, but being able to come the next day was a fair trade off. I will definitely consider getting quotes from Modern Plumbing for future work.

Excellent! James came just to give me an estimate. The price seemed fair and he told me ways to get the jobs done with discount. I felt I could trust him so had the work done there and then. The work was done to a high standard. James gave me info on other things to do with maintenance on the house. I would definitely use this company again.

I thought the sink would need to be snaked or the pipe removed and cleaned out. The guys came in and had another way of loosening the clog that was causing the problem. Resolved the problem quickly at low cost to me. Did a great job. Included 10% Angie's list discount.

I had a slow water leak in my laundry room area near a toilet. I contacted Modern Plumbing and they sent out Jason to troubleshoot the problem. He determined that the most likely problem was a slow hot water leak in my slab. He gave me a quote to find and fix the slab leak and a quote for an entire replumb of the house. (It's not unusual that once you have one slab leak, another may pop up in another location.) I decided to just go with the locate and repair. Miguel and Les arrived on time and went to work locating the exact location of the leak. It took a bit of time but they determined the most likely area of the leak. Jason also came out to confirm the location before they started breaking into the slab. Miguel and Les started the process of breaking into the slab, eventually having to go down about 15" into the slab to expose the pipe and leak. They were very conscientious of using shoe covers as they went in/out of the house. The area of the leak is a tiled floor, and I only had 2 extra tiles to match the floor. They were so good/careful, they only broke 2 floor tiles over the slab to expose the leak. By only having to break the 2 tiles meant that I just needed to get a handyman to lay/regrout those 2 tiles instead of having to remove all the rest of laundry room tile and then retile it (which would have cost me about $1,200). In addition, they came back out promptly after my tile was fixed to reinstall the toilet that had to be removed during the process of breaking into the slab to find/fix the leak. I'm very pleased with the service and work performed by Modern Plumbing and will definitely hire them again if/when the need arises.

Excellent company to work with. Very Punctual on time. Technicians Able & Garret were excellent and great. They came with a Jetting machine & did a great job on my drain which was clogged by roots of cypress tree. They pulled out monster cypress tree roots from my 8" drain pipe. They were so big that it was like pulling out a big anaconda from 8 inch drainage pipe. I would definitely hire them again.

They had a plumber out here within a couple of hours--Rusty. He was so gracious and knowledgeable! Problem is fixed and cost was super reasonable. I will definitely use them for all future plumbing needs!

The service was excellent, beginning with the office personnel. The woman who took my call was most helpful and pleasant. Sorry to say I do not remember her name. The technician Michael was professional and pleasant. He was on-time and started to diagnose immediately. He had to run a camera thru an underground drain line which had a 90 degree branch of which I was not aware. He quickly figured out a way to get beyond the bend and was able to see the entire underground drain. I was extremely happy with the quality of service and would definitely hire this company again. The cost of this service was as expected.

I called for an appointment. Very nice lady. Not allowed to give any prices on phone. Plumber confirmed only the plumbers can give pricing when they arrive at job. I needed the work done before going out of town and she could fit me in. Upon arrival I was quoted over $242 which really shocked me. But with my discount it was $200? This was all labor(15-20 minutes), no parts supplied by them. Since I had already taken a day off work to have the job done I said okay so as to not have to find someone else and take another day off work. Literally a 15-20 minute job at most. At this rate I was charged $600 an hour???? I WOULD HAVE NEVER HIRED THEM IF I KNEW IN ADVANCE IT WOULD BE $200 FOR SUCH AN EASY REPLACEMENT JOB!!!!! I now know why their policy is to not give pricing by phone. Nice lady, nice enough plumber but to me a very shady way of doing business. Terrible business practice. I will NEVER use them or any other company that refuses to give some type of ball park pricing up front.

The office called to let us know that Doug would be arriving a little late: he had to drive to Ormond Beach to get rid of a pygmy rattlesnake in his house! Doug called when he was closer, so I was there to meet him. He looked at the hose bib, gave an estimate (including the Angie's List discount) , and proceeded with my authorization. He finished quickly, and it worked fine. Everything looks the same except now the hose bib works. He also did the quick safety inspection (we passed), and that was it.

Tom was the plumber that came out for the service call; he was very professional and personable. Tom listened as I explained how the second bathroom shower being used caused a sewage overflow in the guest bathroom shower; this had occurred on two occasions. My husband would plunge the guest bath toilet and the guest bath shower would clear with a big whoosh. Tom suspected that the blockage was cleared and still ran checks on all the toilet, sinks, and showers. We wanted reassurance that there were no other issues, especially since we bought the house last year. The camera sewer line showed the pipes are fine without damage or blockages; everything was perfect. Tom included me on watching the camera go through the pipes and explained everything to me. Money well spent on the camera probe; it gives me peace of mind. Thank you Tom! Great customer service from Modern Plumbing; I received a confirmation call for the appointment the day before and a follow-up call on the day of service. I would definitely use Modern Plumbing for all my plumbing issues!

They were the only company we called that came out the next morning - fixed it with no problem , and price was reasonable.

The new seal is working 6+ months after the repair.
