It went very well. There were no issues and I'm extremely happy with the work done and the result.

Robert was amazing. He installed it as if it were part of the interior of the house, down to color coordinating the caulk. I would call this a perfect installation.

Great customer service! Great company! When it came time to pay, his credit card app was down so he said I could just call the office the next day to give them my card. He was more concerned about getting his jobs done than worried about getting paid. It's nice that they still do business the old fashioned way.

The workers were dressed nicely and were very professional -- even the office staff was great to deal with and very friendly. They were very prompt and got the job done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them.

Master bathroom shower was backing up and toilet was making gurgling noise. There were no appointments available when I called but they put me on schedule between jobs at 4:00pm and David (plumber) actually called around 3 and arrived shortly thereafter. Snaked main line from front of house access point and resolved problem. My only "complaint" was the cost--$227 for a weekday during business hours job that took 20 minutes was a little pricey I thought but my dad was a self-employed plumber and I know he didn't make $600/hr...lol...but I realize that was YEARS ago and he didn't have the overhead cost plumbers have now. Clog returned about 4-5 weeks later (3/25/2014) and I had no hesitation in calling Modern Plumbing again and received EXCELLENT service again. Lori put me on the schedule for sometime that day and she called within an hour to tell me that Craig was on his way. He arrived promptly and again snaked the main line from the front but since this was the second clog within a short time he took extra time to have us run the shower and flush multiple times before he was satisfied that the problem was resolved. The charge for that visit was much better ($95 for about an hour of work) and he gave me an estimate for a camera inspection if the clog returned and the estimate was EXTREMELY REASONABLE. i am VERY HAPPY with the service provided by Modern Plumbing Industries.

Everything went well. Figured out the problem with the tankless in a few minutes and helped me rectify the problem, even though he didn't have to, given the situation. He also said our tankless, once it was running, was louder than expected. He recommended a flush. I told him to do everything it needed now, while he was out here and be done with it. He went to the store and got vinegar and flushed the unit for at least 30 minutes and even consulted us on how to do it ourselves to save money. Then the bill came - what a pleasant surprise on top of everything!!! Will definitely use them again. No wonder they were booked for days in advance....

After having an unpleasant experience with a handyman installing tub drains and kitchen faucet, I decided that it might be based to have a plumbing company come out since they specialize in the plumbing field. I really liked that after scheduling my appointment I received a confirmation with a picture of the technician and documenting background checks performed. They called about 30 minutes out prior to the appt time. Technician was excellent who understood the issue provided solutions and fix the problem. We even discovered I had a leak from my newly installed faucet but was able to fix. The price was a little higher than I would have liked but it was worth every penny because getting something done the right way is priceless. I would highly recommend them and if I run into any other issues I'd be sure to have them come back to help.

The inspection was done very professionally and the technician was very polite and prompt.

I was so impressed with the total service experience. From my initial phone call to when the service tech left. Kim on the phone was very helpful and had great customer service. The Tech was very polite and explained what he was going to do and gave me the cost right up front. I received an automatic 10% for being an Angie's List member. I didn't need a coupon to give him like I've had to do when I've used Michael's Plumbing in the past. The Tech went right to work and was done in an hour. I liked the fact that I was told the price up front and it wasn't an hourly charge. I will use them from now on. So impressed with them. That kind of customer service is hard to fine when you need service right away and the price was very reasonable. I've paid so much more for plumbing in the past.

Very professional. Punctual. The communication process from initial contact to completion was exactly as described. An e-mail was sent before the tech's arrival which included confirmation of the tech's background checks in addition to a photo for ID purposes. The tech was very knowledgeable, efficient and stayed on task; very congenial....no grumbling. Nice to see a service provider in uniform which was clean and neat. The tech was very orderly during his work and cleaned up afterwards. Last, we were extremely pleased with the price.

Plumber made an effort to fix the problem with minimal expense and explained everything as he worked.

John showed up about 10 minutes after 8 AM and we walked through what he would to to repair my sewer line. I asked him to take before and after pictures and he said he would and I also asked him to take care of the lawn since we just had it replaced. Throughout the morning he sent me the picture of the damaged pipe and it turns out that DUKE energy had cracked the pipe when they ran some cables right next to the joint sometime many years ago. He suggested that I try to get compensated by Duke but I am still waiting to hear back. He cut out the damaged section of pipe and replaced my lawn and it looks like he was never there. Fantastic job and very courteous to me. I have now used them for several services and will continue to use them in the future. I highly recommend them for all your plumbing needs.

After speaking with the service manager in the early evening on 12/28/2013, and again on the morning of 12/29/2013, this individual could not have been more apologetic and we discussed all likely facets of what the likely sources of our water leak could be and how they might be addressed. This Service Manager stated that he had technician standing by that had leak detection equipment (including equipment with a camera) who could be at our home in just over 1-hour. The technician arrived at about 12 noon and proceeded to methodically look for the leak taking careful measurements of the impacted kitchen area and its relation to likely water sources (plumbing and skylight in a Master Bathroom, plumbing and appliance in the kitchen area, etc). Inspection inside Master Bath plumbing leading out revealed PVC piping that was intact. Pulling up small areas of the affected hardwood flooring in the kitchen revealed a definite water leak, and then making a precise cut into the kitchen drywall where the apparent leak was occurring reveal that a small drop-wise leak was occurring in a small section of original copper water supply piping to one sink feature in the Master Bath. Initial repair effort using all new copper fittings revealed that pin-hole leaks were still evident in a section of the original copper piping below the area that was repaired. The technician removed these new copper parts, and proceeded to use newer materials (PVC-like that would be corrosion-resistant to the chemicals, etc that may exist in our community water supply system (the same high-quality materials that would be used should be have an entire house re-piping done - a project that seems likely in a home that was originally built back in 1983). The second effort proved highly successful, and all worked was completed by about 4:15 pm. We have been educated about a house re-piping, and given the benefit of this technician's extensive knowledge (29 years of experience), and what it means to have original copper piping that shows signs of extreme age. While we may very well be looking at a house re-piping in the not too distant future, the manner by which the repair work was performed today, and the professionalism and courtesy displayed by the technician could have been more appreciated. I wish it to be known to Angie's List members that the difficulties that occurred on 12/28/2013 and my initial "negative" review are being replaced with this current review on 12/29/2013 which should be taken as more reflective of this company in my opinion.

I had some difficulties with a partner of Class Services. Even though they didn't cause the concern they called me to say they would take care of it at their expense. John arrived on time, asked appropriate questions about problem, and got right to work. He was finished within an hour, drains running and area cleaned up.

Leak sprung in laundry room last night. Husband tried for hours to fix, finally decided to call a plumber this morning. Went through Angie's list and, because of the reviews, decided to go with Modern Plumbing. James arrived at our house this morning - ready to fix our troubles. He did an unbelievable job, diligently and carefully working inside the house. He made sure the leak was fixed before he left. He is a hard worker and knows his job! James deserves a raise!!!!!! :D Will definitely recommend Modern Plumbing! I will definitely use them if need arises in the future!

James was our technician and was terrific. He arrived on time and was extremely pleasant and professional. He thoroughly examined the plumbing and surrounding area (which was difficult to access) and was able to determine that there was no leak. He also gave us a detailed explanation of what he believed was causing the musty smell. He took the time to answer all our questions completely.

Talk about quick service. I called Modern plumbing for a quote on a water softener on the 17th. They came out that day with the estimate. I then decided to hire Modern on the 18th. They then called me the next day (19th) and said the softener was ready to be installed at my convenience. They came out the 20th and had the softener installed in a matter of hours. Now unfortunately when they reconnected to my house main, the next morning we woke up to find one of the couplings had cracked and was spraying water everywhere. We called modern immediately and they came out in a matter of hours to resolve the issue at no charge. To be clear the leak was not their fault but because their man had "touched" the area, they repaired the connection at no charge to me. Outstanding customer service.

I called last night and told Modern Plumbing about my issue. I told them it was not an emergency and that it could wait till the next day. Today, James came to the house very promptly and asked me what the problems were. He was very courteous and got right to work. We had a clog in our main sewer line about 60 feet from the house. He cleared the clog and then came into my house to check the shower control valve. After a quick inspection James immediately knew what the issue was and told me how i could fix my problem and no cost to me. Great customer service and definitely went the extra mile to ensure i was satisfied. I will definitely keep them on speed dial for future plumbing issues.

Plumber arrived on time, respected my house, and performed the job correctly and efficiently. He thoroughly tested all the functions to ensure everything worked. I am very pleased with their service and performance.

They are expensive, but when I called them up and talked to them about it, they actually sent me some money back. They knew what they were doing. They did it all professionally and had the proper equipment to do what they needed to do.

On 6/27/13 I wrote a negative review resulting from a miscommunication. I would like to revise that as well as review the latest service. My prior review gave them low grade for professionalism due to what I considered unresponsiveness to a request for a quote to install new shower valves/controls in our upstairs shower.. Shortly after the review, I got a call from Anthony (part owner/service manager) who listened to my complaint. He apologized and asked for a chance to make it right. David came out this morning at 7:30 as promised. He not only installed our new shower valves but corrected a piping problem he uncovered dating back to the builders. The whole job was completed in approximately 3 1/2 hours (he had estimated 4 hours before the additional problem was uncovered). The work was done professionally and even the tile installer who arrived just as David was leaving commented on what a beautiful job he had done. The final icing on the cake was the invoice. The entire job was done at no charge! Modern Plumbing went above and beyond a normal apology. I will definitely keep their number handy and use them in the future as well as recommending them to others..
