June and her husband were so friendly and helpful. They listened to me describe what I wanted done (which may not have been the usual thing - despite imperfections, I didn't want the piece refinished, for example) and they brought new life back to the only piece of furniture that I have that belonged to my grandparents. I can't thank them enough for their care of something very precious to me. The estimate was spot-on, the work was done more quickly than I expected, and the entire experience was both professional and very pleasant.

They were outstanding. I was very happy with them. They were very speedy, great and good quality work. The price was very reasonable. They did not charge me for the consultation. I met with Judy and Ruth; they were great, very knowledgeable on antiques and were very knowledgeable on market price and need.

This is the third time I've used Family Furniture to repair a piece of furniture. The first time they replaced all of the veneers on our grandfather's dresser; the next time they copied a dresser leg that had been weakened by termites. The third time is the service I described already. I've been incredibly happy with the results each time; they've exceeded my expectations. Also, they educate the customer so that the customer knows exactly what is wrong with the piece of furniture and all the costs involved. Also, the furniture they sell in the store is very reasonably priced.

My experience overall went very well.They had great workman and were very professional. The pricing was reasonable. I was pleased with the work provided. I would highly recommend this company to others.

Family Furniture was contacted for assistance with the repair of a dining chair. They were unable to perform this specific task, but the employee that answered the phone was truly professional and VERY helpful!! She listened to our requirements and immediately gave us the name and telephone number of one of their direct service providers. We contacted this individual, who, in turn, provided directions to his repair shop and performed excellent repairs in a timely manner at a very reasonable price. We are very satisfied with Family Furniture and would recommend them.

I am very pleased with Family Furniture. The top of my coffee table was water damaged, and I initially was looking to get only it refinished. I ended up having Jerry and Jane work of five pieces of my antique furniture. They were professional with advice and the results are beautiful! I enthusiastically recommend them.

Very friendly, nice workmanship

I have had several antiques repaired and refinished by Family Furniture. They are great to work with and take great pride in what they do. One piece in particular was sitting in a barn and then a garage for many years and had missing pieces, holes where animals had chewed, and was in terrible shape. Looks like new now. They are very fair in their pricing given the time they invest. I have several additional projects and I am looking forward to continuing to work with them.

It went very well! We have taken numerous pieces to them over the past several months for stripping. My husband enjoys refinishing furniture but not the stripping part. They have done an excellent job! They are professional, friendly and very knowledgeable.

Cannot say enough good things about June & Jerry! The work they did was top-notch! They were pleasant, prompt & very professional! We felt that the cost of repairing all of these items was well worth the cost. We do not feel that we could have found replacements for these items that we would have loved as much for the same price as fixing. We will be calling Family Furniture again. My husband has already earmarked a couple more pieces to be repaired. Once, the back broke off one of our antique, wooden dining chairs, my husband was pushing to throw it away, which would have left us w/ 3 dining room chairs. Since the chair had originally belonged to my sister-in-law's grandmother & we liked it, I felt that it was worth salvaging. It's tough to find well-made, solid wood furniture these days. I asked around, no one could recommend a furniture repair place. They said, "We just buy new furniture when it breaks." I found Family Furniture on Angie's List & we are both so glad I gave them a call. They fixed the broken chair for $100, and my husband couldn't even identify which chair was the broken one once it was fixed. I think $100 was well worth it. I can't even buy one wooden chair for a $100 -- much less 4 new ones. I was nervous about the armoire since it was an antique, but it was so wobbly it could easily collapse. I asked June to be sensitive to the fact that it was an antique & try to maintain the integrity of the original piece as much as possible. I am glad to say that the piece is now structurally sound and the repairs made were very minimally invasive. The plantation chair, while not an antique (paid $400 for it), is a unique piece. It looks great, too! I usually move slowly and try a new service provider out on a small project before I go for the bigger or more important job. This time I went for it because my husband was threatening to trash the dining room chair. Now my husband is badgering me to get the other dining chairs repaired and to reconsider the desk I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the $$ on. It is big, solid wood piece, but we only paid about $120 for it. So repairs would be more than orig price paid. Once again, I know I can't find a comparable, new piece for that amount of $$. Don't throw it away! Call June & Jerry at Family Furniture if you have a piece that you love. You'll be glad you did!

They were excellent. June and Jerry are exceptional. They took a dining room table that had been destroyed and they had to do a lot of staining and refinishing. They worked on it until they got it to the exact color that I wanted it. I thought it was a very good price. I would definitely use them again and I have recommended them to other people. They were very good. They come and pick up the furniture and I think there was a small fee for that. I have a small serving cart that I am going to have them do, so I will be using them again. They gave me excellent service. I have had them fix a small boudoir, chair and they have reupholstered for me. They gave me a time frame, I was not in a hurry, and my main concern was getting the furniture back to the quality that it used to be.

I could not be happier! June & Jerry were personable and friendly. The repair was done in less than a week and Jerry did an "Excellent Job!!!"

Jerry and June arrived on time to pick up bed. Returned bed in a timely manner. Set the bed up and explained how the bed is put together and how to move the bed if needed.

They were very helpful in recommending what to do. I did not know that my hutch which I had had for over 25 years was not solid wood. That was a little shocking, they almost would not do the work for us. This is a piece that had sentimental value and been with me a long time, so I was a bit crushed when I heard them say that, without considering what it meant to me. They still agreed to so the work. So it worked out in the long run.

They went above and beyond when they learned the chairs matched a teak dining table. They suggested we bring back a table leaf so the chairs would exactly match. We couldn't be happier or more impressed with the results and the experience.

They were super. It was like dealing with family. I had chairs that were 50 years old and had been reupholstered by my dad. Over the years, the chairs were getting wobbly, the arm of one the chairs was broken and the back of another was almost falling out. I also needed new upholstering. The upholster shop next door to them is owned by a friend of theirs. Over a period of a week I brought all six chairs to Family Furniture where they fixed the structural defects and then took them next door to the upholstery shop. (I had picked out fabric and made arrangements with the upholstery shop). Family Furniture did not require me to pay them before the took the chairs next door. When I picked up the chairs I went to Family Furniture to pay for their work. If you want a professional yet friendly experience at a reasonable price, this is the place.

June is amazing. Wonderful personality and knows what she is talking about. They also checked to make sure what they were doing was acceptable all along the way. Delivered exactly when promised. Highly recommend them to everyone.

The price was good. The quality of the work was good. The customer service was good as well. My wife is very happy with the outcome.

They were excellent all the way around: responsiveness, on-time delivery, and communication. I can't say enough about them. I decided to use them because of their attitude and professionalism when I first talked to them. I am currently using them for another furniture refinishing.

I selected Family Furniture after reading the reviews on Angie's List. I had a table that had been damaged by a reed oil diffuser. Family Furniture refinished the top of the piece and touched up the areas inside that had been damaged. I could not tell the difference between the original finish and the repair! Family Furniture provides great customer service and quality work.

My whole experience with them was simply awesome. They were quick in returning my calls. When we made an appointment for them to pick up and deliver the furniture, they were courteous, prompt and attentive. At the time, we were in the process of doing renovations to a home we had bought. The plan was to move around mid October. However, due to construction delays, the move to our new home was about 4 weeks late. June and Jerry were extremely understanding and really went out of their way to help us during this transition. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Because we were so pleased with their work, my sister is going to have several of her heirloom pieces refinished too. I would highly recommend June and Jerry without hesitation!
