This project was installation of an attic stairway through a finished garage. Steve Lacey promptly returned my initial phone call and we discussed the project. We arranged a time the same day for an initial on-site inspection and he gave me an estimate for both materials and labor (hourly rates) that as it turned out was completely accurate. The day before the job actually started he staged all of his equipment so when he arrived the next day he and his assistant could immediately begin working. The outcome met all expectations including finishing molding around the opening and painting. The work area was also thoroughly cleaned before he left. In sum, Steve Lacey was on time, on budget, and did quality work.

Steve was great. He explained everything in great detail from the estimate through the completion of the job. He let us know when he found an additional area of rot that was not on the original estimate and let us know how much extra it would cost. His rates were reasonable and the quality of the work is outstanding.

Mr Lacey couldn't have been more professional. After reading his reviews on Angie's list, I decided on calling him first. He came over within a few days after calling him to give me an estimate on replacing the drywall in the ceiling, painting the areas in the ceiling damaged by water, from the leaks in the roof, and to give an estimate on repairing some of the siding that was damaged. Mr Lacey gave a very good reasonable estimate, but of course, couldn't start work until the roofer repaired the roof. Since a good bit of the siding was damaged, Mr Lacey recommended another company for that job, and gave me his phone number. The company he recommended "Builders Siding Company, INC" did an excellent job. Their prices were very reasonable, and did an outstanding job matching the siding and completing the repairs. Mr Lacey, arrived when he said he would be there (which is rare nowadays), and worked non-stop completing the repairs. He was very pleasant, didn't leave until the job was complete, and cleaned up afterwards. Sometime in the near future, I will be looking for someone to paint the interior of the house, and the first person I call will be Mr Lacey. I will definitely recommend him to others as well.

It initially took nearly a month to get Mr. Lacey scheduled for an appointment/estimate partly because of his other commitments. Once he was able to swing by and note down the things he could and couldn't do, the process went by very quickly. I had another contractor who came by to inspect the repairs but never followed up with an estimate. Mr. Lacey gave me an estimate after carefully reviewing all the work and I okayed it then and there. Within 2 weeks, the job was done with fine workmanship and utmost professionalism.

Arrived on time for estimate....completed work ahead of schedule at cost he estimated. A solid professional all around job. Would hire him again without question.

Mr. Lacey was knowledgeable and efficient in estimate on the job. He performed the job on the appointed day and did a good job. All positive - no negative - no complaint. Would hire again.

Overall, Mr. Lacey was very professional and did what he said he would. I thought his price was a bit high, but otherwise he screwed the board back up under my bay window. I just didn't think 4-6 screws was worth $150.00

The work was performed as if Steve was working on his own house. I have used him prior to his company being listed on Angie's list. He always did an excellent job and with great customer service. He is very knowledgable.

Had to replace some wood around my front porch columns that I had replaced last year, but the guys I had before did a horrible job and everything needed to replaced again. I called up Steve Lacey and had an estimate done for the work. Steve did an excellent job, for a good price. He does very quality work and makes sure everything is done properly with no shortcuts. He is a busy man, so it took a little while for him to be able to do the work for me, but it was worth the wait to get a quality job done. I would recommend Steve Lacey to anyone that needed some handyman work around the house.

Mr. Lacey is very professional. He talks everything over with you and advices with deep knowledge and experience. Accomplishes all tasks in a most efficient manner. He is a real artist and is neat, clean and courteous. He is a real gentleman.

I had a piece of siding that had blown up and was in a position to let water in on the side of he house. I called Steve Lacey after getting no response from other companies. With more rain on the way, Steve came out that day and fixed the problem in fifteen minutes. He was professional, courteous, and did a great job.

I am pretty sure the guy's name is Steve Lacey. He did a great job. Window companies wouldn't touch it. He did and he knew where to find a replacement for the wagon wheel kind of window. He installed it. He worked very hard. My wife was working at home and she said he was a very hard worker. It turned out great. He had to do a lot of work. The price included the window and the install. He provided us with a quote. He was the only one who could do the job. Everyone else we talked to basically didn't want to touch it. It was a little bit more complex. It wasn't a standard window and it wasn't a standard size. He knew where to find it. There was quite a bit of carpentry work actually. We would recommend him. He is hardworking and very capable. He is a little expensive. It was expensive but high quality. I thought he was a little pricey, but I don't know what standard prices are. I can't remember his punctuality, but he was here. I don't really remember about his professionalism. We would definitely use him again.

He was very punctual and business oriented. He does exactly what he says he will do. His prices are very fair, especially for the high quality of his work. He listens to what you want to have done, and is patient in explaining what he's doing and why.

He did a very good job. He seemed to be fairly conscientious and courteous.

Other companies came and looked, but they either said they could not replace the window, or I never heard back from them. I called Lacey Home Repairs and left a message. He called back a couple of weeks later and apologized for the delay. He had been on vacation. He came out and said it would not be a problem for him to replace. He ordered the window, but they sent the wrong one. He originally thought he could do the job in one week, but he called to explain that it might now take a couple of extra days. He was very responsive and cleaned up after himself. We were very pleased with the work and we would recommend him to anyone.
