Steve Lacey is very professional and very competent in handling various odd repair jobs around the house. High quality work!

I have used Lacey Home Repairs in the past, and Steve arrived on time as usual to begin work on the kitchen faucet. Upon doing an operational check on the new American Standard faucet he discovered a leak and tried to remedy the situation with the vendor, but found that there was no quick resolution. We discussed my options and determined the best course of action would be for me to return the faulty faucet to the store and purchase another product. I decided to purchase a Delta brand faucet and Steve finished the installation and waived any additional charges for the second faucet.

Great. I liked him. He made me feel comfortable and he was polite. He gave me some pointers around the house. He showed me how to do a couple of things myself.

This is the second time we have used Mr. Lacey. He is responsive, on time, and considerate. He always checks and notices safety issues. He lets you know whether things are worth fixing or replacing. His estimates are almost to the penny. We will continue to use his services as he is definitely a caring, competent, and hardworking person.

Steve showed up promptly at the agreed upon time to provide an estimate. He was professional and knowledgeable and honest. Rather than tell us work needed to unnecessarily be done, he honestly communicated that the door was already properly winterized. We will definitely be calling Steve again when we need work done.

The fluorescent fixture had shorted out. Steve verified that the ballast was shot and gave me the option of replacing the ballast or replacing the fixture. The low cost difference and uncertainty of the quality of a replacement ballast led me to replace the entire fixture. The work was completed to my complete satisfaction.

Steve is an incredible professional. Prior to the work being started, he returned all phone calls within several hours. His estimate was detailed and reasonable. He was able to locate replacement hinges for the cabinet and made sure they were comparable to the ones that had been on the cabinets to begin with. He explained all of the repairs, what was needed by me and what he would provide. All work was done with an eye to detail and getting the repairs done perfectly. Each work area was protected and everything was cleaned up perfectly when he left. The cabinets and doors open and close as they should, the painting and caulking were done properly and the crack in the room was completely sealed up. I would highly recommend Mr. Lacey and would definitely use him again in the future.

Steve was excellent to work with through the whole process, from the initial walk-through and quote to the completion of the work. He made sure to explain what he saw, what he would recommend and why he came to that conclusion. He was good about only recommending the repairs absolutely necessary and giving me general maintenance tips on how to get more useful life out of the wood he wasn't replacing for me. He even pointed out helpful maintenance tips on stuff we weren't even specifically looking at. He performed the work in less time than originally estimated (saving me money) even while making additional needed repairs not originally intended based on what he saw once he got into the project. At the end of the day what seems to separate Steve from others I've hired in the past is his passion for the work and his desire to treat the project as if it were being done to his own house. I would definitely hire Steve again and recommend him to my friends.

Mr. Lacey returns all calls promptly. He is very professional and shows up exactly when he promises. He completes all work in a timely and professional manner. His estimate was right on target. He suggested we get two carbon monoxide monitors for safety reasons rather than for monetary gain for himself. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and completely professional. We look forward to having him help our family again.

As usual, Steve arrived on time and completed all requested work. He found and replaced a broken electrical outlet that was not part of the original work request. He explains all of his work and will always recommend DIY solutions if appropriate.

He arrived right on time. Got right down to business and finished in a couple hours. Mr. Lacey is also wonderful about providing tips for future issues while walking through the house!

Steve has been my "go to" handyman since 2011 when I first came across him on Angie's list. He's what you'd expect from a handyman: no nonsense, professional, courteous, punctual with reasonable pricing. He'll clearly tell you what he can do what he can't. If he can't do the work, Steve will almost invariably produce a contact or a business card of a pro that he trusts. The only downside to this relationship has been that I moved away from his geographic scope so it will be harder for me to get his trusted expertise.

Steve is an excellent handyman. He is very professional, punctual and thoroughly answered all questions. He educates as he goes and takes an interest in you home. the safety, the operation (i.e. electric and plumbing) and asks if you have a carbon monoxide detector! My experience was very positive!

They did an exceptional job, incredibly honest person. Some of them are not so good and some of them are excellent. The price is very reasonable and they also did a good job when it comes to quality. They were on time and accommodating. I would absolutely use this provider again.

Steve was very efficient and thorough, giving me a good estimate and showing up to do the work when he said he would. He was also flexible with me regarding scheduling, moving his work time earlier when I needed him to. Steve has done work for me before and I have always had an EXCELLENT experience with him. He came and did the estimate promptly, but then there was a several week wait for the work to be done. But it was worth it. He was efficient, professional, and the cost came in lower than his initial estimate. I will call Steve again when I need handyman work done.

Steve reviewed a list of smaller projects we had to do and said exactly what he should do and what and what we should ask others to do to save on time and cost. He even told me how to remove gunk on my window with a product that I could do myself. And the work was excellet!

He then explained that since I wanted to do all the work on my own he wouldn't charge me but would be available should I need any help.
