It went very well. For the estimate, Steve was on time and explained probable causes of the water leak and options to fix it. He was friendly, courteous, and professional. Same for when he arrived to do the work. It rained hard yesterday afternoon and there was no sign of a leak. I highly recommend Steve and Lacey Home Repairs.

He let me know the time he would arrive, and my wife called to inform me him and his partner did arrive at that time. I left my job early so my wife could go out and when I arrived, the step that was repaired was drying and they are allowing the base coat on the railings and the gate to dry. Mr. Lacey gives you an estimate, which to me is fair, and he does inform you he might get done sooner, and that was the case with me. Roughly 5-6 hours of work, and his work is excellent. This is the second time I have had him come to my house, and I will be using him again for some other repairs that need to be done.

Steve came by to assess the tasks requested, time it would take and materials needed. He followed up with a schedule for repairs. When the materials were available, he offered multiple options for the door lock (repair, replacement, type of lock desired), shared his pricing and costs, and set up a date and time for the work. He arrived on time, he was able to repair the lock and window without replacement or additional expenses. He'd agreed to complete the dishwasher repair; however, instead of the anticipated simple hook-up, it turned into a major installation task. He not only hooked up the dishwasher, but cleaned out the drains, and ensured top-notch performance. He communicated the problems, solutions and costs at each step. And, his charges were just as promised. He truly exceeded expectations! Steve problem solves as if he is working in his own home - excellent work with smart, thrifty results. You won't find a more courteous, knowledgeable or thorough handy man!

Steve called me within an hour of my leaving message for him. He went to my father's house the very next day (a Saturday) to assess what was needed and give me an estimate. He does not charge for visits to provide estimates. On Monday, he arrived at my father's house as scheduled and repaired the hole. He charges $95 an hour and has a 2 hour minimum. His fee plus materials came to $210.00. He was very honorable, prompt and efficient. His charge was very fair and I would definitely use him again.

Mr. Lacey came out to the house quickly. I didn't know if I would need to cancel the hard wood install. He sealed the floor where there was pet stain and will come back to install brackets for bifold doors. Mr. Lacey was very professional and knowledgable. While we were waiting for paint to dry he installed a new fire alarm.

He returned the next day within minutes of my calling when i discovered the front door failed to latch automatically in the morning. Mr. Lacey's work is fine for what I could determine. He has a 2-hr minimum. He arrived at 11 AM & left at 11:40 AM. He didn't tell me the job would take less than 1 hr. I would have given him more work.

Very smoothly! His minimum is two hours and I certainly got the full two hours worth of home repairs. Just basing my first opinion on him from the neatness of his truck I could see he was a good and honest worker. Every thing was done with care and he offered suggestions on things that should also be done in the future owing to the age of my home.

Steve ordered the parts early but we did have to wait for the weather to warm up to do the job right. He followed through and finished the job in a day.

Mr Lacey was quick to respond to my call and fit me into his busy schedule when he found out I was in a hurry to get my rental ready for new tenant! Very prompt & professional. Wold use again for sure.

Steve was on time every day and was an excellent handyman. Extremely polite and thoughtful and had the ability to solve several household problems that I didn't even know existed. I would highly recommend him to anyone! What I ended up paying was actually below his original estimate.

We were extremely happy with Steve Lacey throughout the entire process. I originally called him to ask him to repair the loose shutters on the front of our house. He returned my call quickly and was very helpful during our conversation. Because of my initial interaction with him, I ended up asking him to look at all of the issues we'd been having in our home. We set up a time to meet so that he could walk through our home with us to look at the various repairs we needed done. The day of our estimate, he was punctual and we were immediately impressed by his vast knowledge. It was clear that he was very experienced. He gave me the feeling that he genuinely cared about us and what was best for our home. He spent a lot of time with us, walking through our house room-by-room, commenting on all of the issues we needed help with. If there was something he didn't do, he gave us a recommendation for someone who could do it. Within a week, he had provided us with an estimate. We decided to do some of the work now, and some of it later. The day he came to do the work, he was on time, and did excellent work. We were very happy with the repairs that he made. He even got the work done in less time than he had quoted us in our estimate. He had a few minutes left at the end and offered to make a couple of quick repairs before the hour was up. So we ended up coming in at less than he had quoted us, and had more work done than expected. We are looking forward to having him complete our list in the coming months. We would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone looking for a handyman!
