Description of Work: I had an evaluation done on my a/c and while the tech person was very friendly, he seemed perplexed by the questions I had (dealing with a multi-zone system) and called into headquarters 2X for more information. Perhaps this is normal, but it struck me as odd. I was informed that I needed an entire system replacement (over $6000) or I could make short-term modifications ($2800)and that I had mold on my unit. Given the cost and the implications, I sought a second and third opinion which provided me with a fairly simple answer to what was happening with the zones. I was also told that I didn't have mold, just a lot of dirt from things the previous owner had neglected and vents that needed cleaning. While I will need to replace my unit eventually, I felt the company overstated the urgency in an effort to sell me a new system sooner.

When a unit is older and has not been maintained, as you said, it is a matter of personal choice whether to go ahead and replace the unit, realize electric bill savings, and avoid eventual repair bills in order to put off replacement. Description of Work: An Angie's List checkup. In spite of my request to be called so I could attend the inspection on my rental property, they inspected with tenant and said to replace system. Since such a large expenditure, I ended up calling anither company who went over the details with me during inspection.

Description of Work: They clean ducts and vents. Also they used santizer for the main vent giving my house a very clean scent. They had two very strong industrial vacuums that did a great job removing all the dust in my home. The extra ducts and vents where included in the final payment but it was worth it. Job well done. Very pleased with their services.
