+ -1 moreWent first to look at the area to be repaired. Established appointment were there on time. He worked on the wall aprox. 45 min (my deal was for 3 hours) we asked for repairing an area of the ceiling drywall that was cut out (by us) to make an access to the attic. They said no because it was not included. We told them how come not, if the deal is for 3 hours not 45 min. They later sent a quote to do the ceiling drywall. I also called to find out when they were coming back to smooth the wall after the compound had dried and was told that wasn't part of the deal neither and we had to finish the work ourselves and they had told my husband what type of sandpaper to buy to finish the work himself. Reason why I am not completely satisfy is because given that it took 45 min to do the wall and I had purchase 3 hours I thought that a) they would finish the work, i.e. sanding and b) they could have done the area of the ceiling drywall that wouldn't have taken more than an hour, leaving another one hour paid for "free".
Description of Work: Drywall repair of 2 small holes.

He really knows a lot about paint and painting. I will be calling Red Brush Painting , asking for Tony, the next time I need a room painted.

Description of Work: The painters were professionals. They listened to our needs and if changes were requested, they implemented them right away. They painted 8 walls, all interior. They made sure that everything was clean and clutter free. They even attempted to paint stencils in my daughters room.

+ -1 moreThe services requested were to paint two bedrooms and a half bath. The company only sent one painter that was very inexperienced. Very sweet man, polite, professional, but very inexperienced in painting in general. This company is NOT one I would ever contact for services in the future. They are very disorganized. Miscommunication, was the term they used. But they double booked a service time and the 6 hour job I took off a half a day from work for ended up being done in two days 3 hours each day. That was not our agreement. The poor man that was here attempting to paint, offered to come back another day but as it was I spent a half day correcting his paint job. This is the third angies list deal i have purchased. The first one was GREAT, it was win In Phaze Electrical. The second one I had issues with because they didn't schedule for a month, (Handy Man services) and now this disaster. I don't see renewing with Angies list next year
Description of Work: Primer applied to the walls. I scraped some of the walls while I waited for the company to show up (they were an hour and half late) there was more scraping to be done, but instead the primer was put over the peeling paint. the primer was not evenly applied to the walls. I asked that the blinds be removed and the windows primed with Kilz which I provided. The blinds were taped, not removed and the windows painted not primed first. the gloss (trim paint ) was applied without taping the walls, but after the walls were primed. I had to reprime the walls after taping the windows. The walls he did prime were not primed all the way to the top or bottom. Not sure what is thoughts there were, but there was about 12 to 14 inched top and bottom not primed. He left the first day without cleaning up at all, so all the paint scrapped off the walls was left for me to clean up. He didn't clean up the second visit either. He did start to paint the bathroom, but he didn't spackle first, so I had to go back and respackle the holes, then reprime, then paint. It was a total disaster.

+ -1 moreI wasn't able to get through to them at all intially until I called Angie's List and they had Red Brush call me. They had Kevin Huebell, their local guy, call me and we made an appointment but he didn't show. We tried scheduling 3 more times and he either no shows or calls right before he comes to tell me that he's stuck on another job. It is so unacceptable; I've had to take time off work to meet him and lost a lot of money. I know other neighbors have had great experiences with them but I can?t even get them to walk through my door. It?s too bad because I had about $3000 worth of work because we do have other repairs and paint jobs that needed to be done.

+ 0 more.The paint color was chosen by me. I do like the color. NEXT room I will more closely monitor the clean up. Paint drops on my wood floor. I had to get on my hands and knees to wipe up way to many drip drops. They (I) did not check to see if they had painted under the marble window sills. While I was on the floor I noticed they did not. They did not paint the cleaned out closet. I should have asked about getting that painted at the same time.
Description of Work: I purchased a "deal" with Angie's List to paint 3 rooms of my house. I called 10 days in advance for a date that I could be there. It came and went. I called twice to an answering machine, once to an e-mail account. Someone called me back and said that had had a scheduling snafu. I was only having my guest room painted so I was able to take the time off and reschedule. Kevin showed up promptly but without the tools needed to start the job. He waited another 1/2 hour for another guy to show up. The job took about 4 hours.

+ -1 moreEverything was ok except one thing. They put masking tape on my stairway & it pulled the stain off. I didn't notice until after they left. They didn't tell me & I'm sure they knew when they pulled the tape off. There was a good deal of paint left on my white trim which they couldn't have missed. I wasn't happy about that but everything else was ok. I was satisfied with the room that they painted and I would give them a great evaluation
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for $129 for 1 Room of Interior Painting. They also did a stairwell - skimming & painting - and stained a front door as well. Price includes paint.

Description of Work: Red Brush is not in my area, so they sub-contracted the job to a company by the name of CPR Painting. They first had to remove wallpaper from two area's, entrance and wet-bar, which was a major part of the job, then paint those area's plus a large (20 X 30 ft) main room with two coats. They got in my house and out in about eight hours including clean-up.

+ -1 moreI’ve left a lot messages for them but have heard nothing. Last Tuesday, I got a call from the new secretary and she let me know that someone would call me. On Thursday he finally called let to me know about a week ago that he was working in another city and he would call back later to schedule but he didn’t know when it was that he would be able to come to my neighborhood. If there was something lower than F I would give that to them. I am not impressed with them.
Description of Work: I’ve been trying to schedule with them for the past 2 months to do some repair work on drywall as part of a Big Deal. They have given me all kinds of excuses-- their phone systems have been hacked and that their secretary quit. I couldn’t even get them to come give me an estimate.

+ -1 moreI had called Carmello three times and had a hard time getting in touch with him in the week before the service was scheduled to be done. I called him Thursday and he said we were definitely on, that he?d see me at 10am Saturday. However, he never showed. I called him, since he hadn't contacted me about picking up the paint. He had a hard time remembering my name. He said that he was no longer with the company. I questioned him about why he didn't call me to say that he was no longer associated with them. I think it was retaliatory, and I am very upset. I just need this work to be done, and need the company to make good on this signed contract, immediately. Update 11/10/12: The consumer is in touch in with the owner (Gent), and the owner is in the process of assigning someone different to the job. 11:43 EST. Update 11/12/12 The worker came 11/11/12 (Juan) he painted the great room and the hallway. Juan did a beautiful job. He was very respectful and has a gift of art. It was a plesent experience having him here. Overall I am thoroughly pleased with the services.

+ -1 moreFantastic! Except for a tough time in getting an appointment, these guys are top notch. Punctual, professional and quality work. They came with supplies needed, got right to work and asked questions, listened , followed up. I would highly recommend them. Red brush services as an office is overloaded. I think being on Angie's list was almost too big of a response for them. having said that, I am so pleased. They have quality people working in each home. I had them paint one visit then handyman the next.

+ -1 moreCalled on Tuesday Oct 30th inquiring about replacing popcorn ceiling with knock down. Was told someone would call back to schedule an estimate. Received a call back from someone named "TJ" not long after that said he would be out tomorrow (Wednesday) to stop over and give an estimate. He was even was going to work around my work scheduled and show up after 4:30. Wednesday came, TJ called and said he was behind and the next day would work better. I said fine, these things happen, no problem. Thursday, got another call saying the exact same thing. Was behind and won't be able to make it out, "Tomorrow I will come out for sure though!" Friday comes along, no call, no show. Must not need the work I guess!

I called back a second time and stated that I would cancel the service if I did not hear back from them. Within an hour I received a call stating that although he couldn't take my details at that time because he was driving, he would call back that evening. I am still waiting for a call back six days later. I would prefer not to have these people do work on my house and would like my money back.

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal coupon for a handyman service for 3 hours of work from this company. They were not good about keeping promised schedule dates. In fact, I had to get a refund because after several weeks of trying and them continually not showing up for a scheduled visit (with no courtesy call even to tell me that they were cancelling the visit), I just gave up. They are apparently understaffed or not competent enough to provide basic service, at least in South Florida. Perhaps they are better in North Florida. This was a very frustrating experience, as I wasted time calling them multiple times with little to no response routinely. It is unprofessional and unbelievable that a company would treat a customer like this. They should be removed from Angie's list, in my opinion.
