Description of Work: I had some sprinklers that needed adjusting because sections of my grass weren't being watered causing the grass to brown; in addition a couple of areas where there were no sprinkler heads. Lloyd arrived at my home very prompt and was extremely courteous and professional. He provided an assessment and determined that the sprinklers along the front sidewalk area of my lawn were improperly positioned. He moved the sprinklers from the center of the lawn to the sidewalk edge and installed new sprinkler heads in the process which could pop up to cover more of the grass area. He provided recommendations for better positioning of a few of my other sprinkler heads and gave some invaluable tips on saving money to get the job done. While on premise, although I didn't call explicitly to have a problem addressed because I wasn't aware; he identified one of my sprinklers was puddling water on the ground and after digging found that the PVC pipe was poorly installed and had broken loose which was costing me $$$ in my water bill. Lloyd repaired the pipe and tuned up the entire front yard. I'd initially called regarding a special he was running for the Rain Sensor installation but all the other unforeseen issues quickly took time and resources which would make the additional cost of the Rain Sensor slightly out of reach. However, Lloyd worked with me and provided reasonable options. As a result, I asked him to go ahead and install the Rain Sensor as well. He also allowed me to purchase some items from him and passed along some tips so I can do some other small tasks on my own and save a few extra bucks. Finding folks who still believe that firm integrity and honesty are priceless is extremely rare nowadays; so when you find someone who is, its a prize. Lloyd is now my go to person for any and all of my irrigation needs and I'd strongly recommend him at the drop of a dime.

Description of Work: The owner, Lloyd Huebler is the irrigation specialist and worker. I have hired him twice for two separate irrigation issues. Both times he offered suggestions that were effective and saved me considerable money compared to competitor solutions. He charges an hourly rate (plus parts) which is competitive, and for most fixes, less expensive than a job rate. He is on time and if he happens to be early, he calls ahead of time to ask permission to arrive early. He is professional and highly knowledgeable. He has senior discounts and sometimes offers job discounts. When I used him he was licensed, insured and bonded. Based on my two experiences, Mr Heubler (The Lawn MD) will be the only person/company I will call to work on the irrigation.

Description of Work: Lloyd checked out my whole sprinkler system, adjusted the ones that were "watering the street", repaired one that was bent and smashed into the ground, and one that was broken. He taught me how to use and program the control panel which was there when we moved in and which I have never been able to really figure out, and made some suggestions about my gutters. He was great, and I'm really glad I puchased the deal.

+ -1 moreThere was nothing major but a few minor issues and they took care of it. They did an excellent job and they are all working. I purchased a $35 coupon for their big deal and it was for them to come out and inspect and see if there was anything wrong. He subtracted that from the total amount after he did the repairs. I think the price was well worth it for the time he spent and the explanation he gave.

He adjusted all the sprinkler heads, replaced the ones that were damaged and set the sprinkler timer so that the sprinklers worked in four zones so as not to lose water pressure like they would if they all came on at the same time. He also showed my husband how to check the system and to change the timer if needed. All in all, we would highly recommend the Lawn Doctor.

I had purchased the Angie's deal to have the system checked for 39.00 and then I needed to have a head replaced which was 30.00. I have had heads replaced for less so that part was not such a good deal but since he was here, it would have cost me more in the long run to have another company come out so he did the work and I am satisfied with it.
Description of Work: He did an overall inspection of the sprinkler system. Straightened some of the heads and replaced one and also adjusted the spray. I did have one head that I think should have been straighted but he missed it and it seems to work ok anyway so it was not a problem. Not knowing how to fix the system myself I think he did a good job. Everything is working now as it should.

He adjusted each zone and checked/adjusted the control unit. He was friendly and efficient and took the time to explain how our system worked and gave us some tips on how best to utilze the features. + -1 moreSince it had been raining regularly, there was no need to rush the visit, so Lloyd was very accommodating in setting up the appointment. He was personable and warm with a great British accent. He arrived in a timely manner and listened attentively to my concerns. Then, went directly to work analyzing the water coverage, performance and efficiency of the system. It was determined that over time, the grass to the back of the house where I had most of my concerns, had grown very thick, and the pop-up sprinkler heads needed to be raised to provide full coverage. This had also been confirmed by the lawn maintenance service. Mr. Huebler (Lloyd) quoted a price for the improvements which seemed reasonble and did not exceed the amount upon completion. He was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. When finished, he advised me on things to do regularly to insure proper function of the system, and made some adjustments to the schedule that I requested. We were most pleased with his visit and would utilize his services and specials, again.
Description of Work: I took advantage of the Angie's List Irrigation System Check-Up Special offered from The Lawn MD in July. We rent in a very nice gated community, and the water bill is our responsibility. Lawn maintenance is included in the rent, but we wanted to make sure the irrigation system was performing effectively. When it isn't the rainy season, we noticed areas of grass that would whither and dry too quickly.

Description of Work: Lloyd was on time, very courteous,as he worked I realized he was very experienced and a hard worker..not afraid to get his hands dirty. He replaced my very old control panel which had become an electric shock hazard due to rust. the work took several hours, he was very thorough and explained everything to my complete satisfaction.He made several recommendations which I appreciated and now my lawnsprinkler system is operating the way I always wished it would. I wish I had called him 2 years ago. It was well worth the money!

+ -1 moreI subscribed to a special deal Antie's List was offering for $20 off a $59 full sprinkler system checkup. I called Lawn MD when I received an e-mail from Angie's giving me my receipt for payment and set up an appointment for the following Tuesday afternoon. He arrived on time, maybe a little before, and promptly looked over my entire system and made recommendations and fixed the sprinklers where I was watering the concrete, etc.. He has a very nice British accent and we even exchanged recipes, my Italian spaghetti and meatball recipe for his Yorkshire pudding recipe. He did all the necessary fine tuing for my sprinkler system and I couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: Did a complete checkup on all my sprinklers and readjusted them. Even found one of the areas that I hadn't been able to find in years. Covered the wires leading to the sprinkler box and pushed it in the soil so I don't have to worry about the critters eating the wires any more.

We went to turn on the sprinkler system and it did not work. The city had turn off the reclaimed water. Lloyd was very nice and said that he would fix the broken sprinkled head and return on Friday, which he did. He showed up and finished all the work as promised. He was very fair about the price and gave me great tips about the sprinkler system. I highly recommend him.
