He was hear for 2 hours and made sure our sprinkler system was working properly and to our satisfaction. His prices were reasonable, he was very honest and we will definitely use his services again in the future.
Description of Work: Lloyd performed a complete sprinkler tune up. He adjusted many sprinklers, replaced parts that weren't working and fixed an area where the sprinklers were hitting the house.

+ -1 moreI called Lawn MD on 12/14/2012 and spoke with Lloyd on the phone to do a complete tune up and repair of my 6 year old sprinkler system. I wanted to ensure the sprinkler system was in tip-top shape before renting the home to a tenant. He showed up the next morning right on time (10am). Lloyd was very professional, patient and extremely informative. He ended up replacing 5 large sprinkler heads as they had come to the end of their life cycle and to my surprise, were actually leaking vast amounts of water underground. He also programmed the sprinkler system per his recommendations. The cost of the service was a little higher than one would expect but completely reasonable considering the number of sprinkler heads that were replaced with newer models that have a longer life expectancy. I would gladly hire Lloyd again in the future.

Description of Work: I called with an emergency at 9 AM. Mr. Huebler arrived by 11AM the very same day. He reviewed the entire system (Angie's List Tune-Up). Then he explained in detail and in terms I could understand, what should be done immediately, and what should be done eventually. He dug out around a broken spray showing me that the base was "hard" connected rather than with a flex hose. Therefore when anything hit it, it would break off rather than have a little room to bend. I contracted to replace 10 3/4" rotors, 4 4" sprays, and add 4 drips to planters rather than spraying my windows. He went to buy the additional supplies, returned within 30 minutes and proceeded to work for over 3 hours. I felt I must relocate some sprays to cover a few brown spots. Mr. Huebler was honest enough to say he was able to increase the distance of the spray and I should wait a few weeks to see if it was covering. If not, he would return and relocate the spray.

+ -1 moreLoyd came by at the agreed upon time to give an estimate for the cost of repairs.....and determined that he would return later in the week with all parts needed. He returned as scheduled and replaced all parts as stated . Loyd completed a large amount of work in a short amount of time and explained the operation of my new timer to my wife. Loyd did an excellent job and checked system for proper coverage as needed.
Description of Work: Replaced the timer and multiple heads on my vintage....(approx 30 Yr old ) sprinkler system. He adjusted it to work correctly and get complete area coverage and removed the old broken and unnecessary heads.

After reviewing the system he went over with me what he as going to do, and came up with a good solution to use drip pipe around the rose bushes and move the large rain bird forward to not "blast" the flowers of the plants... Also, with being new to the home Lloyd took the time to go over the electronic control panel for the system with me, and explained how the different features operated. I was very happy with the work, and will use Lloyd for any future irrigation projects.
Description of Work: I recently moved into the house, and the sprinklers were in a varied state of operation. Most worked, but some need to be adjusted, a couple needed the heads replace, and my wife planted a number of roses right where a large rain bird was located.

Description of Work: As asked, they inspected entire sprinkler system. They showed us two sprinkler heads and one 4" pop-up that needed to be replaced and provided price. WHen we approved, they did the job right away. Prompt, pleasant and professional. And they didn't try to sell us a whole new system either. We'll call them back when we need more help!

+ -1 moreLloyd came out for a sprinkler tune up, but in running the stations discovered a cracked pipe, leaking rotors, and several other issues. He repaired all, with the exception of one area that we have already made a plan for. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and wanted to give me all options, including price, for the repair of the tree root/ cracked pipe issue.
Description of Work: Wow. Lloyd is so very knowledgeable, professional, and very customer service oriented. I have a newly purchased house, and bought an Angie's List sprinkler tune up. As it turns out, there were more problems than just a tune up would have corrected, but Lloyd was persistent in addressing the issues, gave me several options for repair, and I have already scheduled another "Lloyd fix" date. My yard service was here at the same time that Lloyd was here, and they asked for several of his cards, as it is very apparent that Lloyd is an honest, intelligent and professional business owner.

+ -1 moreLloyd Huebler came to my property to do the work. He is a very nice, polite, and pleasant person to do business with. He promptly got to work examining my old system and adjusting what he could and pointing out ways to improve the watering of my lawn. Most of what he pointed out I already thought about. In other words, he did not try to over sell me with repairs. He is very honest and considerate of my costs for this rental property. His truck was adequately equipped and he proceeded to make the needed repairs and up grades. At the end, his charges for time and materials was reasonable and fair. This was a very good experience and I will only use him in the future to care for the irregation needs of my several rental properties.
Description of Work: My rental property at Lake Como had an old sprinkler system. Based upon Angies List rave reviews I called The Lawn MD and had him come out for their $49 check up special. I had him him do an up grade on about half of the sprinkler heads.

He was polite and professional. He told us his findings and gave us our option for things that exceeded the inspection package. We were very satisfied and would use him again and recommend him.
Description of Work: He inspected and tuned up our sprinkler system. Added an extra sprinkler head location. Changed out non-functioning heads. Cleared lawn away where over grown and interfering with sprinkler function. Adjusted sprinkler heads.

Very professional, friendly, but to-the-point. He optimized our current system by fixing and redirecting heads and shutting down unnecessary heads. I have an older system, but he did not try to up-sell me a new system right off the bat like other companies would do. Great job. Thanks! I would re-hire him and will recommend him to friends in his service area.

+ -1 moreLloyd is a very pleasant individual and quite hard working but unfortunately, the work had to be repeated by another company which actually replaced some of the heads. In addition, Lloyd said he would be at my residence at a particular hour and called 10 minutes after he was due to appear and reported he'd be late. He did finally show up, but, I was late getting to work. I'm sure I wouldn't mind hanging out with him at a pub some day, but I don't believe I'll hire him again.

What would have taken my husband all day to fix was done in nothing flat. Definitely will have him back for any other issues!
Description of Work: Lloyd came out to fix a broken sprinkler head and I asked him to give me an estimate on any other work. He said it was just as easy to do the work because he charges a flat fee by the hour.

+ -1 moreI was so relieved that Lawn MD came out quickly and was able to locate my shut off valve and zone valves so that I don't have to panic if the same thing happens in the future. Lloyd was VERY nice and professional and only charged me for an hour of labor. He gave me an estimate to replace my control box which still has a lot of rust still in it and we discussed doing an overall system assessment and broken sprinkler head replacements. All of his costs are very reasonable (parts and labor). I will definitely recommend Lawn MD to my neighbors and will call them to get my system working optimally.
Description of Work: We had a sprinkler zone come on by itself and could not turn it off. I also could not locate the sprinkler turn off valve so had to turn all water off to the house to stop the water flow. Based on the great reviews at Angie's list, I called The Lawn MD and explained the situation. Lloyd told me what I should look for to find the cutoff valve, and came out within an hour. Lloyd checked out the system and found several problems; one was that I had mud build up from old wasp nests behind the control panel. He cleaned it out, reset the system, turned the water on, and the problem zone was back off. Lloyd exercised my system and verified that all zones were turning on and off. He then located all of my control valves - the one for the problem zone was hidden underground somewhere. He used a tool that clicked that zone on and off and walked the property until he heard the clicking. He dug in that area uncovering a large plastic box with 4 zones buried about 4 inches under the grass. He located the other two zones together in one box visually. Next he guessed where the turn off valve would be using a metal rod and was quickly able to locate the plastic box containing the turn off valve also about 4 inches under the grass. At that point the system was working and Lloyd suggested that we leave well enough alone now that we located all of the control valve and especially the turn off valve in case a zone goes off again. At least I would not have another emergency.

He showed up on time. He was able to diagnose the issue as soon as he arrived. In addition to reparing the severed connections, he offered to take a look and make sure everything was running correctly. He made some adjustments, replaced some broken or incorrect sprinkler heads, and reviewed our panel to make sure we were set up for proper watering. He was extremely knowledgeable and educated us along the way. Highly recommend his services and will do business in future.

+ -1 moreLloyd arrived early, set to work and let me know what was needed to correct/upgrade every aspect of our irrigation system. He repaired a small section of hose that had been damaged and then another 20 foot section. He replaced 2 leaking sprinkler heads and raised another for optimum coverage. He also corrected/replaced one sprinkler than had been installed incorrectly! At every step, he let me know what was wrong and how he was going to correct the problem. Lastly, Lloyd also assessed coverage in the entire system and made suggestions for timing, etc. Lloyd was diligent and wasted no time. Along the way, he provided tips for reviewing our system on a monthly basis and for adding veggie gardens and planter pots to the system. He provided an itemized bill at significantly less than expected. I will definitely call Lloyd again, he knows exactly what he's doing, is hard working and eager to share his knowledge. The entire job took 1.5 hours and I have confidence that our irrigation system is now working properly and optimizing our water use.

Not only is he extremely professional and personable, he also took his time to explain what he was doing to me so I'd known what to look for with my sprinkler system in the future. I originally called about a leak I was having and asked for a tune-up at the same time. When it took us longer than expected to fix the leak, he made arrangements to come back within a week to perform the tune-up. Then during the tune-up we ran into problem after problem and Lloyd was great throughout the whole process, tackling each new issue with humor and ease. My system now works great and I would not hesitate to recommend Lloyd to anyone in the Central Florida area (and, in fact, have already given his name to several friends).
Description of Work: Lloyd performed a tune-up for my sprinkler system which included helping find and fix a couple of leaks, getting each of the zones working properly, replacing multiple sprinkler heads, etc.
