O'Hara Landscaping

Description of Work: I recently added a screen room to our home and wanted to add a paver patio and updated landscaping to complete the project. I purchased the big deal for complete Landscape Design and Consultation ($99) from O'Haras, thinking they would be the perfect company for this project. Their website indicated that they not only did landscaping but could also install the patio. After waiting an hour for the design consultant to show, I called him and he stated that he forgot the appointment. It was rescheduled for the next Saturday. The designer did show for that appointment, but upon explaining the scope of the project I learned that the company no longer did paver patios. The person who did the work had left and started his own company. O'Hara's website had not been updated to reflect this change. The designer said that there was nothing he could do concerning the landscaping until the patio was built. He texted the person who does the patios my contact information and said the guy would contact me. He did not. This "deal" was a complete waste of my time and money. I want my money back.

Description of Work: This was the Big Deal for $299 for 8 hrs of Landscaping Labor, 1 Hr Landscape Design Consultation with Sprinkler System Tune-up Included!

Description of Work: I needed to have my sprinkler system checked and heads replaced. The technician replaced several broken heads and got my timer working again.

Description of Work: After initial contact and site visit, it took a great deal of time to get the first "consultation". Customer service was poor and designer did not listen to needs or wants of client. After numerous emails and calls an estimate was provided but no design. Labor costs were double the amount provided in the deal without justification. They also were including travel time to and from the job. After asking for a scale back of scope of work, they decreased the amount of work to be done (plants planted) but not the amount of labor to complete it.

Description of Work: Received contact from provider - set appt for inspecting our property. Provider did not show - waited 1 hour and called him - said he forgot even though appt was made less than 24 hours prior. Made another appt for the next day - made inspection of premises. I asked what comprised the 8 hour package. he said it was only actually 7 hours, as they charged the first hour as commute time! Sev proposals later we are still well apart on pricing and extra hours for the small job requested. Appears provider really was not interested in our smaller job. Provider was to have called me last Saturday to set an appt - no response. Decided to move on with a local landscaper. No work performed.

Description of Work: Advice about sprinkler systems

Description of Work: My irrigation pump had died, and my controls for zones were not very effective. I had a new pump and control panel, and zone valves installed. The job was completed timely, and at the agreed upon estimate. Everything is working fine, and very happy with O'Hara.

Description of Work: THe company came to the house and serviced the sprinkler system and wrote an estimate for the repairs that were needed. I was very pleased with the work and intend to continue with his recomendations on fixing the sprinklers as soon as I have the money. Probably next month'

Description of Work: The deal was for landscape plan and estimate. The designer Eddie was the professional. We needed plans to submit for approval to our landscaping board. When submitted to the board, We were told the plant and tree selections were not appropriate for our site and would not be sucessful or survive our Florida seasons. I contacted the contractor and was informed "the nursery grows the shade varieties to excell also in full sun." the Ohara waranty was only for 3 months, after paying an additional fee for Sprinkler check and adjustment. We won't take that kind of gamble.

Description of Work: The $3200 above included the 2 $299 offers from Angie's List. Ohara's provided the design consultation which was included. The project encompassed the landscaping beds in the front of our home. They cleared out the old stuff, added topsoil & planted dwarf helliconia, bird of paradise, fountain grass, ferns & dwarf chenille plants. They also constructed a stacked stone border around the beds and added sod in areas where hedges were removed along the driveway and in other areas where needed. We were very impressed with the services provided by Ohara and particularly how they handled an issue with with the stone originally delivered for the border. We were not happy with the size of the stone. Eddie agreed to take it back and got stone that we are very happy with. This was a big job and we are very, very happy with the results. We would highly recommend Ohara Landscaping.

Description of Work: This was a special offer on Angies list. Joeseph was the specialist that serviced the order. Joseph was prompt , professional and easy to work with. The first time he came out, the water in the development was shut off for repairs. Joseph willingly rescheduled another visit and performed the inspection and service. I was thoroughly satisfied with the experience.

Description of Work: Performed complete check on sprinklers, adjusting several and had to replace one.

Description of Work: the technician replaced 20 sprinkler heads and adjusted 20 other heads.

Description of Work: I bought the $49 coupon to check my sprinkler system. After checking the system they found a broken tube in one of the zones. I decided that instead of fixing that tube(broke because of tree root), we would add two sprinkler head in a different location that would still cover that area. They did a great job and I was very satisfied with their work. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: Replaced broken sprinkler heads, broken lines, adjusted all heads, installed new heads to cover areas previously not covered.

Description of Work: They did fertilization and I had them do a service where they killed a few weeds I had. They did a great job.
