Rick's initial visit was to troubleshoot damage to a TV due to lightning. In order to make the repairs he had to order parts (the TV is a 7 year old 55and quot; plasma) and had to take the TV with him for repair. Repairs were completed in a timely manner and he returned and re-installed the TV. Rick was very up front with the cost estimates including the cost for the initial vist and the cost for the repair. The final cost was exactly the same as he provided on the written estimate. He was very accomodating on scheduling the service visits, working around my work schedule. I would highly recommend Rick to anyone needing TV repair services. I found Rick to be one of the nicest and most honest people I have ever had do work for me. Most importantly our dog loved him.

While vacuuming, my housekeeper tripped up the wires connecting my television to the power strip. She said she plugged them back yet when I came home from work that evening I had no TV! I checked the jumble of cords and they all seemed to be plugged in so I figured the power surge from the vacuum cleaner had killed the power supply to the TV . When I called mobile TV and told him I thought that I needed a new power supply to my new LG TV, he attempted to dissuade me from using his service because my new TV should still be under warranty and gave me all the exact instructions on how to contact them and get the service I needed. But since I also had a lifetime TiVo in need of a new power supply, which I had purchased on eBay and figured I couldn't install myself, I asked if he would come and do that and just look at the TV to see if he could fix it easily. If he could, then great, I'd be saved the hassle. We scheduled the service for the next day and he arrived right on time. He worked nonstop and very efficiently. We discovered that the television was still unplugged but the plug had receded back behind the armoire. I had a TiVo, a DirecTV cable box and a DVD player hooked up to that TV. The DVD player did not work because it was hooked up incorrectly. I had also just received a Sony smart box as a gift and needed to hook that up into all that electronic mess. He reconfigured all the connections so that each device would work properly and went through the installation process of the Sony smart box to get that working and showed me how to operate it. He also fixed my lifetime TiVo in the other room by installing the new power supply and hooked that back up to that TV and DirecTV box. I am thrilled! My alternative was to load that stuff up into the car take it somewhere and then return it back to my house and hook it all up myself which I am quite incapable of doing. What a wonderful alternative to have a true TV service man be able to come to your home at your convenience and do it all! Price is well worth it - $80 to come out and $20 for each 15 minutes thereafter. A fair price in my book. Don't hesitate to use this guy he is a true gem.

Our 5-year old Samsung TV would not turn on; it would just make a clicking noise. I called Rick at Mobile TV Repair and explained the problem to him. He told me what he thought the issue was, explained the estimated charges, and agreed to come out the next available day. He showed up on time, analyzed the problem (which indeed was what he said on the phone it probably was), took the TV out to his truck, and fixed it, all in less than an hour. Problem solved. Rick was very professional, pleasant, and competent. I would not hesitate to call on his services again or recommend him to a friend.

Rick began with an explanation of what he thought was wrong with my TV and the approximate cost of a repair and price of parts vs getting a new set since mine was approx. 8 years old. I really appreciated his candor and honestly. He could have just come and made the repairs and charged me for a service charge and travel charges etc. But, instead, he gave me a temporary fix and I am looking for a new TV.

Called the repair service the afternoon of 12/27 and Rick (the owner) was on-site first thing on 12/28. After taking about 90 minutes to diagnose the problem, Rick informed me that, to replace the defective part, would cost about $220 (minus the $40 diagnostic fee charged for the initial assessment). Anticipating that this might be a bit more than I'd want to spend (on a 7 year old CRT TV set)...Rick printed out an ad from a local retailer that listed a new flat screen TV for just a bit more than what I would be paying to get my older set repaired and suggested that purchasing new might be the way to go (even though there was no money in it for him). Very positive experience all around...and definitely a number we'll be keeping in our contact list for future use.

The gentleman took the 40and quot; tv outside into his truck, determined the replacement part was expensive for the two year old tv, and recommended purchasing another tv. And we spent $140 to get this information.

Called Rick on Friday for a Monday appointment. He asked a few questions and determined it was the color wheel that had gone bad. I already had the part so he installed it (and a lamp which I also had as a spare for the set) and was done quickly.

Rick arrived early in the two hour window he gave us when I called. He had guessed by my description on the phone that it was the power supply and that turned out to be correct. He took the TV off the wall mount and out to his truck, shortly thereafter confirmed the problem, and gave us the estimate to repair. He completed the repair and was out of our home within 30 minutes. Bravo!
