Lux Moving and Storage

Did a move with them 2 years ago and just booked another move for next month. I forgot how easy they were to work with. I had a great experience with them on my last move so I am happy they are available again for me.

Two young men arrived as communicated and did a great job rooms were moved in 2 ½ hours.

Two young men arrived, not only on time, but two hours earlier (called ahead to see if that was okay with us). They were very pleasant, professional, and worked quickly. They protected all our furniture with covers, and moved the pieces very carefully. When at the new place, they were very accommodating as far as placement and centering of furniture. We have used Lord's Moving several times in the past, and would never even consider using anyone else. Dr. Jack Stone is a pleasant, professional, and caring gentleman. We had to change the date of our move several times due to unforeseen circumstances, and he was understanding and accommodating to our needs.

Lord's Moving was on time and the movers had a wonderful attitude. They were considerate of our belongings and used care in moving them. This is the second time we have used Lord's Moving and if needed we will call them again.

Dr. Jack Stone was easy to reach and pleasant to talk to. He gave us a flat rate which was great because other movers kept quoting us hourly. I had a very hard time finding movers within a two week time frame and he was ready to help accommodate us. He sent three movers. Quentin, the head mover, was very professional and classy. All three were efficient and quick but very careful. They took our bed apart and put it back together. They were able to drop some of our furniture at my brothers house and the rest into storage. It took about 4 1/2 hours total (with about an hour of a commute). Everything was well taken care of, nothing was broken.

The did a very fine job, the 2 guys who did it could "lift the entire house" and were very strong. Amazingly strong! I did not want dolly's to roll on the floor in our new house which would mess up our new hardwood floors, so they carried everything into the new house without using the dolly's. They were very respectful, and made sure they did not damage anything. They did not bump into anything. The price was very reasonable. They were friendly, and attentive to our requests. They knew what to do, and were very helpful. The guy that answered the phone when we called was the owner, and was very attentive to our requests as well as very accommodating to the times we had available to move.

They were prompt, on time, no hidden fees or extra costs. They contracted us with a simple tract and didn't charge any additional fees, which is unheard of with moving companies. They did what they said they would do and did it for the cost they said they would it would be.

They were 6 hours late. although i confirmed via text and phone three times T-the owner claimed he did not have my number. They used a handtruck that they bounced our furniture down the stairs with leaving identical gouges in all of my wood pieces. #update Every day I look at my bedroom set and living rooms set and see the gouges in my beloved pieces I remind myself the old adage is true---you get what you pay for. Stay away from this mover!!!

We had an amazing experience with Lord's Moving Company. First, the owner is always available by phone (or returns calls very quickly). Second, the movers showed up early to the job, were extremely friendly and professional. Not only did they arrive early, they finished in two hours instead of three!. They took apart several pieces of furniture and quickly reassembled at our new home. We would definitely use them again.

We called the day before to make sure they would bring wardrobe boxes and plastic wrap, they showed up on time but no wardrobe boxes, the movers were not in a good mood, there was a lot of tension until the guys said he would wrap my clothes in a blanket and take them over in the truck. They did not know how to wrap the furniture properly all of my furniture has scratches on it. When I asked him to wrap the glass fish tank he simple put it in a box no paper around it or anything. If you need them to move boxes this is your company, but DO NOT let them move your furniture, I have moved a lot, the crew we had were not trained professionals.

This was a $333 big deal purchase. They were fine, efficient and good. I think I paid an another $160 because I had additional hours. The workers that came out were fine; they were good. I had a piece of glass missing, but other than that it was fine.
