Lux Moving and Storage

Awful. Scheduled time of arrival 8:30 to 9:30 am on Saturday 11/2 however arrived at 11:30 am. Which I had to be out of my old condo no later than 1 pm and was told to Lux given their strict rules. It took the 2 guys until 1:23 pm to load everything. Little did I know at that time the 2 guys were up for more than 24 hours. Performed a job until 4 am and did not go to bed. Therefore I did not get 100% performance. I was given an estimate of 3-4 hours to move. Ended up taking over 8 hours. I do not fault the guys but I do fault the moving company. Tried to hand me a bill for over $1200 and that was simply not right. I had to negotiate to a sum of $945 but give up my rights to damaged property in return for the cut rate. If I had 2 laborers at 100% I can see where it would have only taken 3-4 hours. But I was not given that choice or option. I felt as if I was talked down to with not understanding moving. I am an Accountant and hold an advance degree such as an MBA with Accounting, Finance, HR and Logistics are my specialty. This move left a bitter taste and Lux should be subject to review.

This company took great care of me. All my things were delivered dent free. I’m glad I decided to put my trust in them.

I really liked that the owner himself came out to give the quote. Extremely fair price. A couple of boxes I had marked fragile arrived pretty damaged, but the contents inside were ok. The guys who performed the move were pleasant and accommodating.

Lux took my money but did not deliver the contracted for service: packing my kitchen and moving my furniture. They forced me to pack my own kitchen but provided no discount. They also left many items at my former residence, which I had to move myself. They were late. And even though I gave a generous tip, the owner pocketed it until I was contacted by his employees, and I had to follow up to make sure he gave it to them. Worst of all, he was supposed to sell certain items I no longer needed, and he refused to do so or to respond to me. When he finally did after my multiple attempts to reach him, he called and YELLED at me. I would never use these movers again, and I cannot recommend them in any way at all.

I had around 60 boxes, 15 bins, loads of furniture, pictures, mirrors, etc. They were excellent. They gave me the best price ever as well!!

I can't say it enough. They were outstanding. For the first job, Paul, the owner, took charge personally and supplied two of his best guys... who could not have been better. They were pleasant, helpful, understanding and extremely efficient. The guys who handled the second job were just as good. I'm talking about four young guys who proved, without any doubt, that Lords Moving and Paul Deptola are the best in south Florida. Eventually we'll have to move the things we put in storage up north, and Lords Moving will be the first... and only... company we call.

It went very well, in spite of the rain. We had three men who worked diligently, carefully, and at a good momentum. I just wish I had remembered to have them take fown and move a large mirror in the entryway, as they did the table underneath it. I missed the mirror on the walk through. At the new place, our bed and dining room table were reassembled nicely.

The movers were very prompt and professional. They handled all my stuff with care. Even when we arrived at my new home, they put everything where I asked to, making it easier for me to unpack. All I had to do was sit back and tell them where to go and they actually very nice and courteous about it. So thank you Paul, for making what is a very stressful time as smooth as possible. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

I was very happy that I did, the movers showed up on time, very professional, they took care of all my stuff, all I had to do was tell them where to put everything when we got to my new home. And they did, highly recommend them and I would definitely use them again.

Could not have been better. White glove employees were very hard working. They had sweat pouring off of them moving in the hot Florida summer. Travis was great to deal with. These guys really saved my butt.

This felt like an epic move and actually took two trips. The men were courtesy careful and very easy to work with. This move might have been a disaster with anyone else also Travis made the sign up and paperwork a breeze not as many rules ,exceptions and limitations as other companies I spoke with prior to making a decision.

Lord's Moving Co. was great. My mother died in June and in closing up the house, I knew I would be needing a mover to take some of the pieces of furniture, including an old player piano and huge globe to our home in SC. I found Paul on Angie's List. All the arrangements had to be done on the phone. Paul was extremely helpful and good at communication. He met with someone at the house, gave us an estimate and we agreed on the move date. The 2 movers arrived early, were quick, careful and professional and 10 hours later the furniture arrived at our house in SC. They also made a stop at a storage unit to unload some of the items. Paul and his movers made a difficult situation very easy and stress free. If I lived in the area, or needed something similar to what I had done, I would hire Lord's Moving Co. for the job. They were great.

My move date was originally on Sunday and it was moved last minute to Saturday. Next I was told the day before that they could not transport my car. Now I was left with having to figure out what to do with my car unexpectedly as I am unable to move around due to my medical condition. Next they provided an ETA of Monday 8-9am and showed up Sunday around 1pm. Three guys showed up and were efficient with loading the car, caring my items down stairs, and helping with placing my trash in the garage. I gave the $2,300 cash (half of the amount as agreed. I had asked for an eta on when they would arrive to the storage facility in Cypress, Tx and was told they would be at the storage facility Monday morning between 8-9am. Up to this point everything seemed to be good. Due to the company being unable to take my vehicle, one of the guys, Quincy, approached me to work out a side deal to drive my car to Texas following the moving truck. Being without any other options I agreed to pay him cash and refund him gas upon providing my family member with gas receipts showing the amount of gas (gallons and total cost) purchased. He mentioned he had young kids and could use the cash so I thought why not. It helps me and helps him out as well. The issues occurred after the move. They arrived earlier than planned and had requested the final payment of $2,300 cash. My family had made plans Sunday as were not immediately available with all the cash (who carries that much cash around on a given day anyway?) as the agreed upon delivery date was Monday morning not Sunday at 1pm. The company only accepts cash which we didn't not have on Sunday due to banks being closed. So they agreed to unload the truck as original agreed to on Monday. And apologized. for the incorrectly forecasting the arrive date and time. Apparently they originally calculated the travel time to be more that 20 hours instead of 16-17 hours which is takes to get to Cypress. The final issue came when the guy - Quincy did not deliver the car upon arrival and waited until Monday morning to deliver the car. Next he provided receipts that were questionable that did not show the actually amount of gas pumped and were higher than the actually amount that it should have taken to fill up my car. Some of the receipts showed anywhere from $30-$50 when my car is only 13 gallons max it should have cost was mid $20 for a full tank. I know as I have driven to Texas on multiple occasions and did not spend nearly the amount he did. Additionally, some of the receipts he wrote in pen the amount spent. When asked about he receipts and about the costs he went off (yelling) on my family and I for a long time. We paid him above what we though was reasonable for what the gas should have been. I had sent multiple friends and family the receipts and ask for their expert opinion as many of them drive long distances and were also told the receipts did not make sense. They advised that I was being taken advantage of due to my health and being without an option to have the company transport my car. The next day I receive the below unprofessional message from Quincy who drove my car. ". "What u did was sad u should be ashamed of your self not only did we move your stuff but we also transported your car safely and I'm too of not wanting to pay me my money for gas u didn't even tip us......u took money out of my kids mouth...GOD don't like ugly thats y u going there what u going there or makes scene now....u will never get well treating people that way...u will get sicker and sicker until u do right by ppl.....u don't need doctors u need to treat people fairly and stop trying to get over on peole....have a good day thanks for the horrible." experince...what goes around comes around

The one time that Travis didn’t answer his phone, he returned the call quickly. His men arrived promptly, were careful of the bed, flooring and woodwork. An ill-timed Florida thunderstorm moved in just before unloading which they managed without letting the bed get wet. We would definitely recommend Travis and White Glove.

They did a great job and did everything as agreed. They even waited over a hour for me to get there before they could start work because I got stuck at another appointment. Highly recommend!

The movers were very prompt. They did a great job and considering how hot it was they were terrific. There were no surprises and everything went well.

I needed a location move to a full dining room set with china cabinet from one location to my home, then from my home i needed to move several pieces of furniture to another location. This was all last minute. I called Paul and managed to squeeze me in the schedule and everything was move perfectly!! All the glass shelves in the china cabinet were wrapped and moved with care. They brought it to my house, setup and installed it, they too the remaining furniture to the other location and set that up just the way i asked. They were very timely and polite and professional. Would for sure use them again!!

The guys were on time, professional, courteous, and moved everything quick and carefully. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them.

These guys were excellent. They arrived on time, got right to work, and showed a great deal of care with our belongings. Hence the name, "White Glove"! Travis, the owner, supervised initially, including the preparation of my 120 year old Steinway Baby Grand piano. We chose to pay by the hour. The move took 6 hours, but there were a few pieces that didn't fit on he truck. Travis personally made a second trip to pick up the last few items...AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. I would certainly use this company again, and recommend them whole heartedly.

All the services that Lords Moving Company promised me were done .. None of my belongings were lost or damaged during the move. The three employees that did the move were so polite that I bought them lunch.. Paul the owner was extremely helpful with planning my move His employees were on time,very respectful and clean.. I would absolutely recommend Lords Moving Company if you're planning on moving from your home to another place ....

On time and very nice folks. I did tip extra. Two people really busted out the move.

It was fine. They did what I asked them to do. They showed up quickly when I needed them. There were no problems.
