Description of Work: "Day of the move,they wanted cash,raise the price $25.00.chipped the wall,supervisor shook my hand,signed the paper with written statement,saying you have my word,i will come back within 7 days to fix it. I called his boss Dr. Jack,he said he or any mover does not fix and they are not responsible for any damage,but if his man said he would come to fix it he probably will. |It will be 2 weeks on sat.have still not heard back from them. |Do not use this company. |I'm sorry to give a bad review,but this was my experience with this moving company,so i recommend to all,do not use them.if he comes to fix the wall,i will change my review.thank you |"

Description of Work: When I scheduled it they said they would provide three movers and do it on Saturday. They called late Friday to re-schedule to Sunday. When they showed up there were only two movers and they said they were not aware of the $450 price and thought it was supposed to be $700. They did the move ok and both movers were very nice and helpful.

Description of Work: Two guys helped me move some of our household items to storage and they were great. I took down their names so I could remember them for this review! Now I can't find them. The story is that they were fast, helpful, and really nice. We went from Wellington to a storage place and it went off without a hitch!!! Thank you so much!!! I am planning to use them again!

Description of Work: First, I was quoted over the phone (nobody came by to quote in person) for 1 to 1 1/2 truck loads for a 4 bedroom house with garage. It took 4 truck loads and two partial days to complete! Very late arriving both days. Understaffed & underequipped (only 3 guys and they had to borrow my hand truck or it would have taken even longer). Move should have been completed on first day but since they showed up so late and were understaffed & underequipped for the job so it had to be completed a couple days later (that day they were also extremely late and still underequipped). Both days took until 10:30 pm or later! Nearly every piece of furniture, exercise equipment, etc. was either nicked, scratched, broken or damaged in some fashion. They also didn't wrap many of our things, and were short on blankets! Boxes were not placed where we asked so we are still, after 3 months, going through our packed garage trying to organize and move boxes to their proper, clearly marked locations. |It began raining the second day and they continued to move so most of the boxes we purchased for moving at $3.00/box were completely ruined, crushed or otherwise falling apart. We've moved about 4 times and this was clearly the worst experience to date and we would never use Lord's Moving again and highly recommend you don't either. Nice enough people I guess but not good business people. The movers themselves were nice guys but didn't care enough, nor were they staffed and equipped properly to do the job the way it should have been done. They didn't care about our things, just getting them from point A to point B. |My wife called after day 1 to mention some of these things and the owner said he would send an entirely different crew for the remainder of our things. Wrong! Same guys showed up with a not so great attitude since the owner told them we had complained. Perhaps the reason they showed up 3 or 4 hours late on day two?? hmmm... |We were told by the owner to submit pictures of the damaged items but since we work we are still trying to sort through the chaos created when much of our stuff was just left where they felt like leaving it. We're still finding damage, etc. Also, I checked the contract and the insurance section had been marked for the coverage option of .65 cents per pound for damage instead of actual damages which was the other option on the contract! Unfortunately, the paperwork was signed at the end of two long days after 10:30 pm and it was dark and hard to see (my fault I suppose) but I'd never heard of damages being paid by weight and this was never explained by the movers nor the owner...ripoff! So needless to say we haven't put in a claim. If you care about your things and don't want them destroyed and you have a timeline or deadline you need to meet for your move, I would suggest calling a different mover.
