My experience went excellently. Jack was very communicative, professional and friendly. He knows what he is talking about. The crew is very friednly and professional. They did exactly what I asked them to. So far, all of my belongings came out undamaged. They were prompted and even showed up a little a head of time. The pricing is reasonable. I would highly recommend this company to others.

It is going perfect, I have never had a better move. They wrapped our special treasures very carefully. It put my mind at ease and the movers were very professional. The owner knew that we had to move and he had a truck headed to NC, so he tried to make things less expensive when possible.

They had high rates but they proved to be unreliable in terms of calling back. I got the quotes and when I sent all the information, and I requested that they give me an exact timing for them, I asked them how would things be delivered and give me a more exact window in terms of delivery of moving and the package of my moving, and the guy wrote that after considering my condition, the conditions of the moving, decided not to offer to do the move. They had already quoted me and he wanted me to do a deposit, insurance deposit, so that was pretty bad form. It was a very bad waste of my time. The quote was good, the price wasn't an issue. They didn't want to commit, and when I asked the details, they got upset.

They arranged to move us on Saturday on a last minute request. They were on time and did a n outstanding. job.

David and William did the move and they were both professional, efficient, and concerned that our furnishings were secure in the truck and packed correctly to avoid damage. They were polite and worked their tail off doing a great job. I need to add that I have moved about a half a dozen times in the past 15 years and by far they were the best. In my opinion, we have Lord's Moving at the top and the rest fall far short in courtesy, professionalism, and efficiency. Also, they never changed their price. Jack guaranteed his bottom line price and honored that guarantee. I wish I could say that about the other six movers that were used in the past but unfortunately, I could not. If you are in the market for a moving and storage company do yourself a favor and talk to Jack at Lord's Moving and Storage. You won't be disappointed.

Lordy, lordy, lordy .... be just a little move careful than we were when using this company. I was very impressed with the owner's fast response to my initial inquiry and very happy when I read all the glowing reviews. The two other companies I'd contacted through the list were not quick to respond and one was down right rude when he did reply. They were supposed to show up between 10:00 AM and 10:30. I got a phone call at 10:15 telling me their truck had broken down and they weren't sure when they'd arrive. I asked they keep me informed. At a little past 11:00 AM they just appeared. When I advised them there were two moves involved they claimed they knew nothing about it. I explained there was a family who was taking some of our furniture and we were paying for that move as well. Those items needed to be loaded first as they would be the 2nd stop. They wanted to make that part of the move first but I told them it wasn't possible because the building we were moving to required them to be out by 5:00 PM. While they claimed they knew nothing about two stops, they presented me with a bill that clearly showed two different dollar figures for the move. They also said they wanted only cash for the move. I told them I had never been advised of that but they insisted that at least part of the move had to be in cash because the men had to be paid. My husband had to drive to a friend (30 minutes away) in order to get $500 - which was all I wanted to pay in cash. We paid the rest of the bill by check. My fault for not checking before the move although I would have thought they should have told me about the "cash policy". According to the movers, they can't accept charges either. In regard to the move itself, the men absolutely knew what they were doing. They worked efficiently, carefully, and pointed out any damages they saw to furniture they were moving. We had just purchased a leather bench and they called me out to the truck to show me there were dark marks across the honey colored seat. I knew we hadn't purchased it that way but I wasn't about to argue with them - although I did tell them it wasn't that way when we bought it. (When they got it to the new location, the spots were gone and they admitted that one of the men must have spilled water or sweated on it and it had dried.) They said they couldn't fit all our things on the truck and left some boxes, lamps, odds and ends (including a curtain rod - surely room for that on the truck) for us to transport on our own. My husband and I are seniors and my husband is handicapped, so it wasn't easy for us to have to move things on our own. I gave easy directions to the location they were headed to, my husband and I loaded up our car as much as possible and we agreed to meet at our new location. The ride should have taken 30 minutes - driving very slowly. We were there in less time than that. I had unloaded our car and transported everything into our unit (4 trips on the elevator) before realizing that more than an hour had passed and I'd heard nothing from them. I wanted to order lunch for the men but didn't know what they wanted to eat so I called to find out where they were and what they wanted for lunch. When I spoke with them, they claimed I gave them wrong directions. They said the numbers of the buildings were going down, not up. I explained they were going through several different townships and each had their own numbering system. They needed to follow the directions I gave them. I asked where they were located at the moment and they couldn't tell me. It was obvious to me that they had stopped, had lunch and were taking their time getting to us. They did not arrive at the address until 2 1/2 hours later - after several very frustrating phone calls. They unloaded without any further problems and were very accommodating about placing the furniture just where we wanted. Our friends who received the 2nd part of the move, told us they were very accommodating as well, and they were very pleased with the way they handled everything. PROS: The owner, Dr. Stone, is wonderful to deal with. He could not have been nicer. They know how to handle furniture well. CONS: We should have been advised of the "cash" policy prior to the move. They each told us "hard luck" stories in order to get big tips. They clearly were unconcerned about communicating with us properly about their arrival times. While they were excellent movers, I suggest you be prepared for the unexpected.

They are so curious and professional Best moving company I have ever used, and I have moved about 20 times I recommend anyone who is moving in the area where they are located to definitely use them THEY ARE AWESOME !!!!$

Everything went swimmingly. The four men, Will, Prince,Amp and Buddha, could not have been more professional. All furniture was wrapped, unwrapped and set up in a place where there was hardly room to walk. I'll never know how they got that big desk in place. I would recommend them to everyone.

We were working out details for a couple of months regarding a cross-country move from MI to FL. He was very prompt with responses, and seemed to really want the work, with a very reasonable rate. Seemed like a win-win for both of us, since his truck was going to be empty heading back to FL. Everything fell apart when we asked for insurance and he all of a sudden said he wasn't available. Not sure what the deal was for sure, but it seemed very fishy.

They did an incredibly fast and quality job. Nothing was scratched let alone broken. I unreservedly recommend these guys.

Be careful using this service. They claim 9,000 moves and over 20 years experience. Maybe, but they are a shoddy outfit and very unprofessional. They claimed they would wrap our items and actually wrapped nothing. They showed up with 4 guys and basically threw everything on the truck. They were in a hurry to get to the next move and bumped walls, furniture, etc, causing lots of nikcs and scratches. They hover over you at the end of the move with the Angie's List Review form and make you feel pressured to evaluate them on the spot -- while they are watching. Watch out, Angie, this is a manipulation of your service. You should take a look at this company -- they have racked up a lot of "A" reviews that they most likely have not earned. I would never use them again would not recommend them.

I was looking to secure moving services for my son who is attending college from the Daytona Beach area to Valdosta, Georgia. I found a number of companies on the List and called about five of them for an estimate. When I spoke with Dr. Jack Stone, the owner of Lord's Moving, he gave me an estimate immediately on the phone. Compared with the other estimates I had received, this estimate seemed reasonable and fair. After all, it was less than 200 miles. I spoke with Jack personally by phone several times. He was always patient with my concerns. If I left a message, he got back with me promptly. On the day of the move, the technicians arrived early (a good thing) and communicated to both me and my son that they were en route. They were very accommodating in helping my son pack and unpack and took special care with his belongings. My son gave the experience a perfect A grade. When a mom lives hundreds of miles from her child, she puts her faith in services that she feels instinctively will turn out for the best. I am that Mom and Jack Stone's Moving Company proved to be a true blessing! I gave him an A, but the entire experience deserves an A+. I would most certainly use this company again and again. Moving household goods long distance is one of the most stressful events of a relocation and we have moved many times and seen the full spectrum of what can happen if you do not have an experienced mover. Lord's came to our house and carefully packed our items for 3 hours which included about $8K worth of brand new furniture and other valued items. The items made it to us in MA are there is only one piece of furniture that is going to need a little white paint on it. We were thrilled! The movers were ultra polite and helpful as they helped us dis-assemble and re-assemble our complicated bedroom set as well. The moving crew accidentally left without giving us a 5x7 rug and even though they were an hour and a half away they turned around to bring it back when they could of easily done otherwise. Talk about service! I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for an affordable price, efficient lead time, and someone who takes pride in their work. Kevin Kristofeld

It went well. Two trucks and 8 guys came by and did the work. The whole thing went very quickly.

The move went GREAT! The gentlemen were prompt, professional and had a great attitude. The apartment was on the 3rd floor no elevator and moved into a 2nd floor no elevator. They worked very hard never complained once even though the bed frame was a bear to move and it was hot! Not a scratch on anything. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism, price and ethics.

They arrived on time and took great care of my things and were finished quicker than I thought. I will be referring my clients!

They were very professional and courteous. They communicated very well about what to expect. They accommodated my needs, and moved the moving dates around for me. Overall it was just an absolutely excellent customer service experience.
