Description of Work: Our washer was making various loud noises and squeals. We called Dolling's for service. The repairman came at the appointed time, listened to the sounds I had recorded, took the machine apart and located the problem. He said it would require a part and further service. He said someone would call us the next day from their headquarters with an estimate of how much the parts and labor would cost and we could decide whether we wanted to proceed. They called the next day and gave us the figures. The cost to repair was too great when we could purchase a new one for an additional $100 or so. There was no high pressure by anyone from Dolling's and they left the decision entirely up to us. They charged us an $85 service fee and said there would be no additional service fee if they came back for the repairs. We would not hesitate to call them again if needed.

Description of Work: Mr Dollings very generously discussed the possible causes and outcomes for fixing my expensive Bosch oven. He also recommended I escalate my unique issue to Bosch mgmt. I did and the problem was ultimately resolved by a Bosch exception. However, I found Mr Dollings honest, generous and he earned my respect and confidence. I WILL call and hire his team the next time I need an appliance repair.

Description of Work: Maytag washer would fill but not agitate or spin. Howard, the technician, quickly diagnosed problem as a stuck micro swith in the Lid/Imbalance swith assembly. He remedied the situation (did not need new switch), made sure that machine was cycling and working properly and was out the door in 20 minutes. He was personable, very knowledgable and arrived when promised.The service call was $75 but this company offers a 10% discount to Angie's List, so full payment wa $67.50.Will use this company again for all of my appliances.

Description of Work: This was my second time using Dolling's Appliance. The first was with my kenmore washing machine (6 yrs old). The cold water line had stopped working. They fixed the intake lines (both hot and cold) washing machine fills like it is brand new (approx $150) This call was for my Kenmore dryer(6 yrs old). The dryer was shutting off after about 2-3 minutes. They took a look determined it was the mechanism running the belt. At first they thought they could get a replacement part and repair. After getting the price for the part 'we' determined it wasn't worth fixing (250 for the part) I purchased a new dryer. This guys are honest, on time and very professional. I will use this company in the future and would recommend to my friends

Description of Work: Prompt response to request for service. Called before; arrived on time. Refrigerator problem diag quickly as thermostat. Replced; refrig still in good condition. Part came next day; installed; working fine.

Description of Work: Scheduled an appointment several days in advance for a Friday for between 9-12PM to repair my ice-maker, stating that I needed to leave by 1PM that day. The service man called at 8:45 and I again stated my time frame, which he acknowledged. At 11:50AM, he called and said he could not get to it that day, and would Monday work. No. After waiting for 3 hours and not even a courtesy call to say they were late, I called a repair company that was highly rated by Angie's List and used them.

Description of Work: Dishwasher door had not been latching or sealing for awhile. We were using strapping tape to keep it together. When we called for appointment, a promise was made for a call before the work person would come (on appointed day) and it happened as promised. Work person came on schedule, professionally performed the fix, and left with no mess or fuss.

Description of Work: Jay at Dollings saved me a TON of money. I have a 1987 Subzero Refrigerator that other repairmen said I needed a new compressor ( $1,000.00 !) or a new fridge. I called Dollings for a quote on the compressor and Jay walked me through several steps over several phone calls that fixed the problems !! You don't find service like this any more. They now have a customer for life .. I highly reccomend them
