Great service, fast installation.

Went very smoothly. The technician came to our house at our request, evaluated our system, recommended it be replaced with a new one, outlining for us the reasons why this was necessary. Several days later, a crew came and changed out the a/c system. Very professional and competent. Answered all questions and concerns we had. Arrived on time and finished the job on time. All in all, we are very pleased with the job A & H performed, and would not hesitate to use their services again.

They estimated that they would be here from 8-4:30 and they were very accurate. They arrived exactly on time, they did the entire job, they cleaned up, and they left very close to 4:30. I expected the price to be higher. I can?t think of anything that they should have done better; they even supplied a new cement slab rather than using the old one that was out there. They put a dehumidifier on for no extra charge. They were nice guys that were professional and polite. They said they could come out and the beginning of the seasons to do maintenance for $69.

I called in the afternoon and made an appointment for the following morning. The serviceman arrived ontime and was very friendly. It turned out that the problem causing my AC to shut on and off was that the drain pipe was clogged. This problem was quickly resolved. He then went to check out the thermostat on the 2nd AC unit and determined that it was broken. The only termostat that he had was a older and cheaper model (he was going to charge $100) that did not cover the space the old unit took up on the wall and I was not interested in repainting so I made the decision to buy one on amazon. The rep was very friendly and showed me how to replace it when the new one arrived. I ended up buying a great touch screen model on Amazon for $65, it arrived the next day, and I was able to install in 5 minutes. Overall a good experience and I will definitely use A&H again.

We agreed on a date for the installation and on the date and time agreed upon Chris Thurman, the lead installer, along with John and Nixon arrived. Chris was amiable and easy to work with. We reviewed the job to be done and the team set to work immediately. It was a hot day and the work was difficult; however, it was plain to see that this group of professional technician/installers knew exactly what they were doing. Each knew his job and they worked as a well coordinated team. They did not even take a lunch break - they worked straight through to the completion of the job and were very effective. I was flabbergasted in that when the Trane system was unpacked the air handler had a bad scratch and the compressor system had been damaged from a warehouse fork lift. Chris had the equipment returned to the warehouse immediately and ensured that a completely new, and undamaged, system was delivered. Another company might have tried to install the damaged pieces and hide the damages. After the installation was complete they system was turned on and Chris reviewed its operation with me in detail. Any work done inside the house was done on tarps so no mess resulted; similarly, after completion in the garage any debris was removed and the floors swept. The job site (my garage) was cleaner after the job was finished than it was before the team started. As far as I am concerned A&H Services is the GO TO place for this work. They have set the high water mark for A/C purchase and installation.

Technician didn't show up on 1st appointment but I sincerely believe it was a miscommunication caused by the dispatcher who was very apologetic. Tech showed up at 7:30 the next morning and worked quickly to diagnose problem and get AC functioning temporarily until he could return with the coil and replace. Final visit the Tech called me 30 minutes before arrival so that I didn't have to wait around the house for him to arrive. Repairs seemed to be completed effectively and efficiently. Overall a fairly painless experience and saved me (for the time being) from having to replace the entire system for thousands of dollars. They will now be my regular AC servicer.

Repairman (Chris) was on time, quickly found the problem (low freon), and thoroughly checked everything. He was friendly, experienced, and happy to answer questions. He worked c. 1.25 hours. Service visit was c. $85 for one unit, and c. $42 for the second. Extra charge for the freon, $25 discount for Angie's first-time customer, and 5% senior discount.

We did not go with A & H, but it was almost a toss of a coin. We would certainly ask them to bid again the next time we need to replace our a/c system.

There is reason why this company is rated A. They are prompt, did excellent service, professional. I can't say enough good about this company. I already have recommended them to my friends.

They appeared unfamiliar with my unit, unable to diagnose the problem, and discounted my concerns. They also charged the full price of a service call, without giving me credit for the Angie's List coupon I mentioned when I called. First time I have ever been dissatisfied with a high-rated Angie's List company. I won't be calling this one again.

I did my research before choosing A&H Services. Beside their wonderful ratings on Angie?s List, they also show up on FP&L?s list. Their estimate was reasonable and clear. The team was very professional & courteous. They removed all remnants of the old system and cleaned up after themselves. Before leaving, Chris walked me through everything that was installed, making it a point to show me the safety shut off points. He explained how to work the thermostat, when to change the filters & other maintenance items that I could do. He patiently answered my long list of questions. I would highly recommend A & H Services. I am going to sign up for their yearly maintenance plan to keep my new units functioning at peak performance.

The salesman was good and made several helpful suggestions. I think this company only sells Trane units so I didn't have that many choices. They gave me the best price and were more than 20 percent under the price quoted to me by the "big box" store which is basically a referral service. They showed up on time and did a good job with the installation. The installation crew was personable and thorough. My only issue is with the noise from the new units. Trane advertises the air handlers as being "extra quiet" but they were not any more quiet than the older units that were replaced and both have an annoying "transformer hum." This would not be an issue if the airhandler closet was not in an interior space. This is probably more of an issue with Trane as opposed to A&H.

Our interaction with them was superb. We spent $180 on that service. We would tell other members that they were fine and we would rate them excellent in all areas. We were very pleased with them.

A&H did a great job. We had several quotes and they matched the lowest, and seemed to be the most qualified. They had excellent ratings on both Angie's list and the BBB so we felt very comfortable. Peter, one of the owners, came out for the estimate and was our contact person all the way through. The guys who came out to do the actual work were punctual, polite, cleaned up, and did good work. There was a mix up with the inspectors but A&H stayed on it until it was all cleared up. The system has been working nicely.

The rep was prompt & professional, and extensively discussed our situation. However, he shrugged off any mention of a coupon from Angie's List. When I pointed out that another contractor had offered a manufacturer's rebate for the same A/C A&H was proposing, he said he'd "look into it". Then, we never heard back! I have to then assume he was intending to pocket the rebate himself. It is not professional to promise to get back to a customer, and then never respond.

Contractor took extra interest to find a solution that fit my needs, budget, and requirements. Other's who bid on the job did not.. It was necessary for the contractor to be creative to resolve and issue with the wiring of the thermostat in our condo. The contactor was prompt, and all staff were knowledgable, friendly, respectful and professional. This was an overall first class job. I highly recommed this contractor.

Excellent. Installers arrived on time and finished the job when they said it would be. I was informed about how the job would progress and they answered all my questions. Very personable installers.

Technician arrived on time and gave estimate of repairs. After agreeing to complete the job I was given a date the job would be completed. I was very happy with the work performed and the timeliness of the work.

I thought they did very well. I would use them again in the future.

Everything was okay. They responded to phone calls quickly, promised service at a specified date within a few days of my call, and made the repairs, all within a short time. They were polite.

Punctual, professional estimator/salesman helped me determine/understand what size/ type of unit I need. He called immediately to installers to set up a Sat installation, no extra charge. On a blistering July day, the installers were prompt, courteous, careful with my floors and rugs, and used a special unit to keep my house relatively cool while they worked. Despite the heat, they were efficient and did a wonderful job, removed the old units, swept the hallway, and did not leave until they were sure I understood how to use and program the thermostat. I could not be more pleased.

Service on both visits was excellent, The A/C techs were both experienced and friendly. On the first visit to get my cooling part of the A/C to work the guy took no time to diagnose the problem and had the appropriate piece in his van to make the repair. I had had to leave work to meet him and was back in the office in no time. On the maintenance call the service technician did a thorough job checking the system both inside the house and out. As mentioned earlier he was extremely prompt showing up exactly when the office said he would. It's nice to know that some companies still believe in providing good service and hire friendly, qualified personnel that you feel comfortable having in your home.

Peter arrived on time and looked over my situation. He took many measurements. I told him what I wanted and he said it could be done, but would take a full day. He later called me with an estimate, which fell between two other estimates I had gotten earlier. Although the price was more than the cheapest estimate, I chose A&H because of the high ratings they received on Angie's List. Chris and Nixon arrived on time to begin the work. Chris reviewed the job with me before they started. He ran into a couple of unexpected snags, but let me know what was going on and the minor changes that needed to be made. They put tarps down, filled any holes that were left, and cleaned up after themselves. They were both professional and efficient. I couldn't have asked for a better job.

They scheduled it conveniently on a Saturday and did all the work in less than one day. And if not for a very odd filter size on our return vent, the entire project would have gone off without a single hitch. I fully recommend this firm to other AL subscribers.
